Alex couldn't sleep all through the night, the battle between Piers and the Demon wolf raged on until dawn. There were spells of silence followed by intense fighting, as she kept on watching him as promised. All through the night he never called for her help, he fought bravely until the time became 6:30 AM on the grandfather clock.
The screams suddenly came to a halt. It was the same time he transformed back to his human form the previous day.
"Piers are you alright?", she said, rushing towards the cage. She could see he was clearly mentally exhausted and fatigued as he barely could focus his attention on her.
"Piers, can you hear me, are you alright?!", she asked, touching him from outside the cage, through the steel bars. He didn't seem to recognise her touch.
