A beautiful psychiatrist; Alex Bryan is bored of her conventional hospital practice and when she overhears an opening for a male psychiatrist with a mouth watering pay, she jumps at the offer without listening to hear the rest of the details.

She is overjoyed when she learns who her possible employer is - Piers Anderson. Piers is the man she's always wished for: he's tall, gorgeous, and affluent but he quickly shatters her fantasy of him when he flatly refuses to consider her for the job. He requires a strong male psychiatrist who will live with him and be able to handle his excesses.

Alex quickly realises that behind Piers' attractive exterior hides an arrogant and strong-willed man. She refuses to give up and offers him a bet he can't refuse. She bets she can tolerate him as a patient for a month and will even do so for free if he triples her income and keeps her permanently at the conclusion of the first month. Piers accepts her offer and grants her a trial, since no other applicant was interested in the job and he was unwilling to be admitted into a psychiatric facility. But he chuckled, knowing she wouldn't be able to last the month since all his previous male psychiatrists' had not lasted a month treating him. He was considered short tempered, crazy and very dangerous at night - especially during a full moon!

Alex is overjoyed that she got her way with him until night arrives and she discovers that after sunset, a beast awakens in him...

Chapter 1
LOCATION: Piers Anderson's mansion. "I have to get away from this place - quickly!", she uttered with her heart pounding but she was high up on the second floor and needed to get off the building. However using the stairs was not an option as the creature she was hiding from was coming from that direction, the only other way down was out the high balcony. She needed a rope, a long one but she had none. Looking around, she improvised by using the bedsheets in her room as a rope by tying them to the end of each other and tying one end to the rail of the balcony. "Help me God!", she prayed silently before taking the bold steps of climbing down the balcony using the bedsheets as a rope, praying she does not fall down half way. Successfully climbing down with her bare feet she heaved a sigh of relief, as she thought of her next line of escape. The full moon shone brightly, illuminating her path. She could see where she needed to run to - the lake but it was still far away. "Alex, you can do it, run like the -". But she was interrupted before she could finish her sentence. She heard the loud smashing of the glass window of her room on the second floor, accompanied by a loud beastly growl. It was onto her and she quickly hid behind a bush. "Where are you?!", it called out with the voice of a demon from above her, sending shivers down her spine. "There is no way I am making it to the lake alive!", she whispered, quivering in fear. The beast jumped from the storey high balcony of her room like it was nothing, landing on its two feet that looked like those of a wolf but it was standing upright, towering high almost 8 feet tall! She grasped her mouth with both hands to prevent herself from screaming out, as it was only a few feet away, backing her. For the first time, she could catch a full glimpse of the beast under the moonlight. It was hyper-masculine; exceptionally hairy, exceptionally muscular and from his loud fearsome growl she could tell it was exceptionally violent! The only thing that was left for her to see was its face and it turned suddenly as if it had sensed her presence. She quickly ducked underneath the bush but wasn't sure if it had seen her. As she contemplated what the next few seconds held in store for her she heard his loud growl again, this time it was directed at her.  She cried silently, he had seen her. She heard his slow monstrous footsteps approaching her hiding spot. "I am done for, this is the end..." *** 12 HOURS EARLIER. Dr. Alex Bryan as she was popularly known by her friends and colleagues had gotten ready for one of her biggest interviews ever yet. It was a life changing job offer both for her career as a psychiatrist but also for her personal life. Today she was meeting with the famous Piers Anderson, the richest Billionaire in all of Washington. Rumour has it he was single. He had never married, nor did he have any kids at the age of 32 but he was a very attractive specimen of a man. His family mansion was located at Laurelhurst Seattle Washington, where his family owned most of the land in the 1900's. Alex Bryan went to great lengths to ensure she looked her best. It was August, the last month of summer, and the weather was still pleasant, so she dressed up in something light but attractive. She completed her look with a white shirt tucked into a black knee-length pencil skirt, black tights, and black pumps. She was 5'11" tall and had an ivory complexion. Her form was well-sculpted, highlighting her feminine contours. Her brows were arched, and her natural sweeping eyelashes were framed by a set of arched eyebrows. Her delicate ears framed a celestial nose. As she smiled, a pair of stunning, angel-white teeth flashed, under her puffy heart shaped lips with nude lipstick. Her blue eyes stare was very intriguing to look at. It was mesmerising to watch her platinum blonde hair flowing freely. She was lovely in every way. She lived in East Queen Anne Seattle and it was going to be a short road ride of about 15 minutes to get to her destination at Laurelhurst Seattle. She got into her Soul Red Crystal Metallic 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata. A perfect sports car for her with an open roof. She drove off with the morning wind blowing against her. When she arrived at the address, she drove into a driveway that led her to two beautiful massive gates. She remained inside her car as she brought out her hands to ring the intercom by the gate. It rang only for some brief seconds before it was received. "Hello, this is Piers Anderson's residence, how may I help you?", a male voice said rather slowly over the intercom. It wasn't that of a young man but an older man. He sounded like someone in his 60's. "Hi, I am Dr. Alex Bryan. I have been scheduled for an interview here today", she said politely over the intercom. There was a sudden silence from the receiver end of the intercom that lasted for about 10 seconds.  "Hello, are you still there?", she asked worriedly. They were supposed to be expecting her, as she had applied for the job and had been invited. "Yes I am still here. I am sorry for the delay in my response but I beg your pardon, are you the Dr. Alex Bryan?", the older man asked over the intercom, surprised. "Yes you heard me correctly, I am Dr. Alex Bryan", she reaffirmed. The older man chuckled. "I am really sorry Doctor, but I think there must have been a mistake". "I was expecting your voice to be a little different", the old man said. "I am confused, what are you saying? How was I supposed to sound?", she asked, slightly irritated because he chuckled and what he said. She felt she needed to stop talking to this old man and instead speak to who she really came to see - Piers Anderson. "I am sorry to break the news to you over the intercom like this but it is best if you go back home. This place is not for you!", the old man said affirmatively. He really wasn't going to let her in, after all the troubles she went through to apply for this job. "Please I want to speak to Mr. Piers Anderson", she said politely. She wasn't giving up easily and she wouldn't allow a staff member to speak to her so condescendingly. "Unfortunately Mr. Piers is too busy to answer the phone at the moment", the old man insisted, as he maintained his stance for her to go home. "I don't know who you are or why you are trying to prevent me from seeing Mr. Piers Anderson but I can assure you he is expecting me. He sent me an appointment to see him today and I have to. This is important for both of us!", she insisted. She was so close to meeting and working for her dream man and she wasn't going to give up now. "I am sorry Dr. Alex Bryan for the stress but if you insist, please drive in", the old man said politely changing his tone, as he opened the electronically controlled gates to allow her drive in. "Finally, thank you!", she said both relieved and happy as she drove in. She didn't know what the drama about not allowing her to pass the gate was about but she quickly forgave the old man. She could feel she would be happy here.
