Alex stayed in her room as tears rolled down her eyes. She had been crying for about 10 minutes now when she heard a knock on her door.
"Alex dear", Julianna called out.
She was surprised to find her mom standing outside her door.
"I have to stop crying", she thought, as she tried to quickly dry her tears.
She quickly got up from the bed to go wash her face in the bathroom quickly and dry it off with a towel.
"Alex dear, are you awake?", Julianna asked behind the door. Alex knew she was taking longer than usual before opening the door but from what her mom said, she suspected she had no clue she had been crying inside her bedroom.
