Alex was heading in the direction of Piers' bedroom. It was also located on the second floor but in a completely different wing. She had enjoyed her company with the members of staff at the mansion but had informed them that she had to leave to tend to Mr. Piers.
She could see his bedroom door at the end of the passageway as she walked towards it. It was closed and when she arrived at the door, she knocked gently, not to disturb Piers in case Piers was asleep.
The door was opened from the inside, revealing Arthur standing beside it. Apparently he was the one that opened the door after she knocked.
"Dr. Alex, It's good you are back. Piers just asked after you some seconds ago", Arthur said, as he stepped aside for Alex to come in, revealing the master suite.
