Until the man approached,Vany still stood in place and didn’t even bat her eyelid.

Kai who stood besides her was shocked that boss would walk up to him, but his attention seemed to be with Vany, he said with a seemingly flattered or complex expression. “Boss”

Diego didn’t respond to him, he just looked at Vany with a darkened expression.

He pressed his thin lips and said coldly “when did the XI base, become a site of tourists attraction for strangers, who are you?, do you know where this place is?”.

Looking at the coldness and suspicious expression in Diego’s eyes, Vany could guess that he must have found her familiar, but he didn’t see any part of her, except from her neck above, and she looked a little stronger with a cloth wrapped around her chest, so he only suspected and wasn’t sure.

However, being stared by him, Vany for the first time in her life, felt that her hair stood on end.

She didn’t even fret when she was surrounded by several police and faced with dozens of guns.

Had it not been for the clothes she had wrapped around her chest, she would have suspected that Diego would have recognized her at first glance.

But then she thought, they had only met in the sauna room, where they had been fighting all the time and it was so full of water vapor that she could not see anything clearly, she had not seen his lower body clearly so how could he see her?. Besides half a year has passed.

But the man’s acuteness did make her feel very dangerous.

Vany smiled coldly “it seems that I need to see more carefully next time before I rescue people, so as not to save someone from the XI base and end up been called as a tourist when invited in”

Hearing her words Diego took a look at Kai who hurriedly said “yes… boss, little brother Vany saved my life. I was ambushed at the foot of mount veros and nearly died at the hands of those men. Little brother Vany is my savior, he is excellent at martial arts and he passed the age requirement of the base. Besides he has nowhere else to go, so I let him follow me back to the base, I was going to talk to the drill master, but didn’t except you to suddenly…”

Seeing Diego’s face freezing cold, Kai didn’t know which words he said had gone wrong, but boss looked so cold, that he couldn’t help but panic for his life.

“XI base is so famous and I am lucky to be here as a nobody” Vany said, she needed a way out for herself, but not dangerous ones, because she also wanted to use that opportunity to look for her true roots.

Diego looked at her with his unfathomable eyes and didn’t say anything.

Vany also didn’t say anything, she stood upright in a stance more professional than even most of the soldiers in the base,who had been through rigorous training for years.

After a few seconds, the man finally blurted out few words “ Being good at fighting is not equals to martial skills and having martial skills doesn’t necessarily mean having a chance to stay in the XI base. Since you saved a life of the XI base, I will give you a chance. Wait for me at the training ground in the evening, and you must Atleast resist my attacks three times”

His voice was commanding and cold.

Vany raised her eyebrows, silently acquiescing his words and K was very excited to hear this.

As she expected , he was still suspecting her. He intended to test her with the excuse of testing her martial arts, what would he do to her?.

She heard a saying from the Chinese among the gangsters, “take things as they come”, since she wanted to stay at the base, she would just take it one step at a time and see how far she got.

She had to continue to keep her secret that she was a girl, if not she would not be allowed to stay here, besides she had seen Diego naked that night. That might be a valid reason to kick her out.

In fact she didn’t see it clearly back then.

Vany suddenly felt aggrieved, she saw nothing yet he still hunted her.

She was so wronged!

Kai arranged a temporary resident for her, which was just a bed in his room,just like the army,there was a bunk bed in his room, the only difference was in the army eight people shared one room, while in the XI base, only two people share a room.

The man who slept in the lower bunk of Kai had been sent out on a mission to Africa and had not returned yet, so Vany could sleep in his bed temporarily.

It was getting dark and Kai left to room to attend to his drill master leaving the room to Vany.

When Vany was sure that he would not return for the time being, she locked the door, picked up the black uniform that was given to her by Kai and headed to the bathroom.

She’d like to take a shower before going to the battle.

After the shower, Vany changed into a black uniform although it wasn’t worn out, it was still big for her and that was what she needed, something to hide her shape.

Before coming to the base, Kai gave her large sum of money so as to get new clothings instead she used it to purchase breast wraps, so as to conceal the little curves in her body.

On the other sides of things, after returning to the base, Diego had a brief meeting with various drill masters and then stood at the second floor window in a building of the base.

One of his men who had just come in stood behind him carefully so as not to piss the big boss off, but he couldn’t help but look at Diego who appeared colder than before after coming back from the Alonzo family, did those seniors in the Alonzo family do something to piss the boss off?
