Rodeo part...3?

"So, you going tonight?" Marie asked

"Yeah, are you on call?" I asked

"Nope, would you like me to come with you?" She asked

"Yes please" I smiled

She nodded and we finished our dinner. I think Braxton said he's coming I forget, but if he is, he's riding with Connor. I don't feel like being stuck there and in that group of people again so I said i'd drive myself. But now that Marie's coming it won't be too bad.

"Is going to to be warm tonight?" I asked

"I think it's suppose to storm tomorrow so it might get cold tonight. It does that sometimes." Marie said

"Well what are you wearing?" I asked

"Jeans, boots and a long sleeve shirt" She replied

"Okay.. I will do that too" I nodded and walked into my room

Looked around I didn't have any decent long sleep shirts, not even a good sweat shirt. Okay then, t-shirt it is. I think I have a hoodie in the truck, I thought as I walked out of the room. Meeting my friend in the living room we went outside and I locked the door. While Marie started her truck, I quickly looked in mine and there was in fact, no sweat shirt. Cool i'll freeze it's fine. Hopping in her truck, she started driving and soon we arrived to the packed place. Once we found a parking spot, we hopped out and looked at each other.

"Well, time to go find the pain in the ass" She said

I nodded and followed her back to where everyone parks their trucks and trailers. Walking around for a couple minutes, we saw her dad's truck in the distance. Going over there was of course a group of people. A few girls over there too, great. Walking over Marie went to walk around the one girl and she stopped her.

"Uhm, we were over here first" She said

"Okay and?" Marie replied

"You don't need to be here" The girl smirked

"I don't give a s**t" My friend laughed, which made me chuckle and get the attention of the other two females

"What are you laughing at?" The one other girl snapped, which got the attention of the group of guys

"You think, that you're going to stop her from walking over to them. It's funny" I shrugged

"We are. We were here first. So we said you can't go over" The last girl said

"Uh huh." Marie said and pushed past the girl

I did the same and got grabbed by the arm. So, I threw my whole body into her and she fell on her ass.

"Don't touch me. Got it hun?" I said

Walking past the other two I stood between Marie and Braxton and smiled to myself.

"You know. Marie is the physical one. I didn't picture you being one" Braxton said

"Well, I guess we won't be seeing them anymore. Thanks" The one guy said

"You wanted that?" I asked

"I mean, look at them. They're hot" He said

"Their snobs. But I mean, you Montana boys go for whatever you please" I said

"New Yorkers man. Always got an attitude" Another kid said

"Oh hunny. This ain't the half of it" I huffed

"Can you not start fights please?" Connor sighed

"Well hello to you to" I said "Ready?"

I looked at Marie and she laughed but nodded.

"Where you guys going?" Braxton asked

"To make friends" I smiled

"Becca needs a man" Marie laughed and she walked away.

"So does your sister" I nodded and jogged to meet up with my friend

"Wait, i'm down!" I heard one of them yell

I laughed and looked at Marie as we walked away from the group. It is kind of chilly out. I wish I had a hoodie or long sleeves. We walked by another set of trailers and for some reason Marie decided she was going to veer off into them.

"Hey" I said jogging over to her

"Hey girl!" I heard

"Hey" Marie said and hugged the random girl

"I didn't know you were coming tonight" The girl smiled

"My brother is running and my roomie wanted to watch. This is Becca by the way we went to school together and now we have a house together cause I wanted her to move to Montana. Becca this is Cassidy" Marie said

"Nice to meet you!" The girl said and hugged me

"Nice to meet you too" I replied hugging her back

"Where are you from?" She asked

"New York" I replied

"OMG I love that" She smiled

She sat with her for a little while and her family and friends showed up and we chatted with them as well. Cassidy is Marie's age and she dated her cousin apparently back in high school that's how those two became friends. You know Marie's one cousin lives around here but I've only seem him that one time. I don't know.

"Alright they're about to get started. Are you girls going up to watch?" The girls mom asked

"Yeah" Marie said "But I have a text from my brother asking me to stop by the trailer real fast"

"I wonder what he wants?" I laughed

Marie and I stood up from where we were sitting and made our way back to the trailer that Connor was at. This time it was just him and Braxton. And Chevy of course, the handsomest boy.

"So what did you want?" Marie said as we walked up

"Such a sweet loving sister" Connor said

"Hey I was relaxing and having a good conversation with my friend and her family" Marie said

"I was just there enjoying myself" I shrugged

"Who?" Connor asked

"Cassidy" She said

"Huh, I didn't know she was back" Connor nodded "Anyway, can you help Braxton with what ever is in the tack room while I go ride up"

"Seriously?" Marie said

"Yeah" He nodded and hopped on his horse "Love you"

Marie groaned and we looked in the tack area of the trailer. Braxton was in there with the saddle thing half falling on him. So I jumped in and helped push it off as Marie guided it into place and put the strap back on.

"I thought my dad fixed that" Marie said

"You good?" I said looked up at Braxton who I was half huddled under

"I'm good, thanks" He laughed

"And how did you manage that sir?" I asked as we walked out

"Your brother is a d**k. But that room was a mess" Braxton said

"You're not wrong" Marie shrugged "Ready to go watch chicky?"

"Yup" I smiled

We started walking and Braxton joined us. Sitting in the bleachers, we got the VIP section because even Marie knows the lady that runs the gate, so we all got let in.

"No way" Marie said laughing at her phone

"What?" I asked

"My one friend went cliff jumping, I think i've been to that place before" Marie said

"You've been cliff jumping?" I said

"Yeah. Have you?" She asked

"Actually yes. I went in New York and to a couple places in PA" I laughed

"Wow, i've never been cliff jumping" Braxton said

"Let's go!" Marie smiled

"I hope you know, i'm pretty sure I don't have a bathing suit" I laughed

"Same guess you gotta just strip then" Braxton said, he got smacked in the chest

"No, I haven't gone swimming or anything in like 2 years so I guess i'd need to buy one" I said

"Oh are you going to that wedding?" Marie asked

"I don't know. I don't want to take off more" I said

"You do remember me telling you we have until September to take off as much as we want since they're fully staffed" Marie said

"Maybe" I said

"If you don't tell them Monday when you go in, I will cause it's hanging on the fridge so I know the dates" She laughed

"I'm f*****g flying if I go" I laughed

"You can't rent a car though" Braxton said

"I can rent a U-haul though" I smirked

"Oh. Smart" Marie said after they both looked at me for a second or two

"So, are we actually going to do this and are you telling your brother?" Braxton said

"I'm down.. I guess I could invite him" Marie said

"I'm down, I just need a bathing suit" I replied

"I'm excited" Braxton smiled

We started planning a cliff jumping trip, and apparently there's a really good spot 2 hours away. You jump into a creek that's about 15 feet deep and 30 feet wide. The cliff has three jumping spots and the highest is 100 feet. I'm excited. Connor joined us at one point and we neglected to tell him about our plans, but we just continued to watch the rodeo go on. Then he had to go grab his horse.

"Have you ever seen him rope?" Braxton asked looking at me

"Only at their house a handful of times" I said

He nodded and we watched the ropers come out. They lined up on the other side of the arena and went one at a time as they let a steer out. Connor got his pretty fast and they all came out at the same time. We watched the last two events then Braxton got up and looked at us.

"So, do I tell him? Or, are we still waiting" He said

"Let's wait" Marie said

"Aww" Braxton pouted and headed out

Marie and I got up from our seats and headed to her truck. Hopping in we headed home and I texted Evan. He's excited i'm coming to the wedding.

"Oh no" I said

"What" Marie asked

"I have to see his younger brother who I dated" I pouted

"Did it end badly?" She laughed

"He cheated on me" I said looking at her

"Oh, hmm how can you show up and make him regret it" Marie said

"I need a hot date. He said I can bring a plus one. But I don't like anyone from back home so" I sighed

"Can I be your hot date?" Marie smiled

"Absolutely" I laughed

"Oh do you have something to wear?" She asked

"I think so" I replied

"Can we raid your closet?" Marie asked

"How about I see if I can get a plane ticket that's not going to cost an arm and a leg" I said

My friend nodded and soon we got back to her house. I'm exhausted, it's also almost midnight. So my ass is going to bed.

Well, Marie came with me back to New York. Now she's over the age of 25 so she could rent a car. Of course we got a truck, it was actually the cheapest option because no one rents a truck in New York. Their wedding is up in the mountains so we flew into the closest airport and drove a bit then got put up in a hotel. I told him i'd get us one but Evan said Carly wanted to take care of it. Once she saw me I got squeezed. Tonights the wedding so we just got dressed and I think we look hot.

"I wanna post a selfie. Well there's a big stand up mirror" Marie said

We both stood in front of the mirror and took a few pictures before heading out. Hopping in the truck, of course we're both wearing cowboy boots with the dresses. Driving the 5 minutes to the venue we headed inside and found our seats. And I have been spotted by Evans brother. We got here a little late so a few minutes after we sat down they got started. Watching the ceremony, Evan teared up a bit and Carly couldn't stop smiling, I was also looking around and there were a lot of officers here. Once the ceremony was over we started the reception and got sat at a table with all cops. Nice.

"So, how do you two know Evan and Carly?" One guy asked

"I dated Evans younger brother back in high school" I laughed "Evan and I have been friends ever since"

"What about you and Tod?" Another guy laughed

"Nope" I replied

"Is she your date?" One lady asked

"She's my best friend, so yes" I smiled

They laughed and we got served dinner. It was good too. Now for the first dance and to watch Carly try not to drink too much but ultimately fail.

"So, I didn't know you were coming" I heard

Turning around, Tod was standing behind me.

"Your brother invited me when I came back to pack up my things" I said

"So you actually left for good?" He asked

"Yup. Was hoping to never come back, but. I wanted to see them get married so" I shrugged

"Well you look amazing and so does the girl you came with. Who is she?" Jack asked

"My roommate" I said

"Are you still in school?" he said

"No we both graduated. But we got a house together cause why not" I replied

"Oh. What are you two doing afterward?" He smirked

"Going back to our hotel then heading to the airport in the morning" I said

"So no time for fun?" He pouted

"Uh, no" I said and walked away

I gave Marie a look and she laughed. We chatted with a few more people then headed out once we saw people start to leave. Saying Bye to Evan and congrats, Carly was pretty drunk but holding it together.

"Maybe we'll come out and visit you guys" Evan said

"I'll put you up on a horse" Marie smiled

"Did she tell you she barrel races?" Evan laughed

"We found out an put her on our ass hole of a barrel horse who only listens to her. Threw both my dad and brother" Marie said

"And he likes you. Shocker. What is with you and ass hole horses" Evan said

"Who knows" I shrugged

"Well thank you for coming. It was great seeing you. Carly would say the same again if she was coherent" he laughed

I chuckled and hugged him before heading out.

"Well one more adventure down. You ready for cliff jumping when we get home" Marie smiled

Rolling my eyes we headed back to the hotel and went to bed.
