All the friends, relatives and family were gathered here. At a small pit on the side of the cemetery. Everyone in turn said their last words and took their last respects before the coffin was lowered into the hole. I could hear the lamentations, the prayers and the kind words coming from the lips of those around me. I placed the white roses on the coffin and said softly:
"Thank you for allowing me to call your daughter my sister." I wiped away a tear that rolled down my cheek.
Lilly stood by my side with her arms around my waist. Her head rested on my shoulder. Her face was pale and tired.
"Thank you for being here with me." Lilly said softly, turning her eyes to me.
"Always." I looked at Lilly for a second.
The whole sad part was over. The coffin was lowered into the ground and bur
