BURAK’S POV:
She had turned down my proposal, and I couldn’t understand how to convince her. As I got to my room, I started thinking about how I could make her fall for me. With my mind drifting to her, I found it difficult to focus on my work. Suddenly, a plan came to my mind. I went outside and announced in a loud voice, “Listen everyone, as you all know, my dad is retiring from the office the day after tomorrow, and I’m throwing a party in his honor. I’d like you all to come.” I went to her chair and said, “Miss Izra, as you are my assistant, you can bring your family along with you.” I returned to my room, smiling to myself, thinking about how much fun the party would be. I rubbed my cheek where she had slapped me and said to myself, “I’ll make sure to turn your life into a living hell, Izra. I’ll show you what it feels like to be slapped.”
I was working on my laptop when the door of my room open and dad walks in. I stood up from my chair, "Good afternoon" he nods and sat at the chair, "How is the day going?" he asked looking in some files. I nodded, "It's going good" he nods and still reading the file when I decided to open my mouth, "Dad, I like your new assistant." He smiled in approval, "that's good that you like someone lower than you." I roll my eyes, "Not that like dad, I mean I really like her, I want to marry her."
He look up at me from his glasses, there was a two minutes pause, "It was an awful joke" He look back at his file, "Ha! for the record, it isn't"
He shut the file in anger, "What do you want Burak? Are you out of your mind? Why do you wanna get marry all of a sudden."
"Dad, why are you behaving like I am teenage boy who cannot get married. I like her and I want her to be my side I want to get settled or you think you will control me until the very end of my life?"
He sighed, "I am not controlling you but making a decision like marriage all of a sudden is stupid." I lean against my chair, "I want her at any cost and I havr already invited her family on the party. You can meet them."
"What party?" He asked looking at me dumbfounded. s**t! I didn't tell him. "I am yhrowing a party for your retirement and for me to become a CEO. So I invited her family as well."
"I can't believe you didn't discuss this with me first, Burak," my dad said, clearly disappointed in me. "Marriage is a big decision, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. You need to have a solid foundation with this person before even considering marriage."
I could sense his concern and frustration, but I couldn't help but feel determined to pursue my feelings of revenge for Izra. "Dad, I understand your concerns, but I genuinely believe that she is the one for me. I know it may seem sudden, but love doesn't always follow a predictable timeline. I want to take this chance and see where it leads."
He let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his silver hair. "Burak, I just want what's best for you. I know you're capable of making your own decisions, but love can be complicated and messy. You need to be prepared for the challenges that may come with it."
I nodded, acknowledging his words. "I understand, Dad. I know the road ahead may not be easy, but I'm willing to face any obstacles that come our way. I truly believe in my connection with Izra, and I want to explore that further."
He looked at me with a mixture of concern and reassurance. "Alright, Burak. I trust your judgment, but please promise me that you will tread carefully and communicate openly with each other. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it requires effort and understanding from both parties."
I nodded solemnly, grateful for my dad's understanding and support. "I promise, Dad. I will make sure to approach this with maturity and respect. I want a strong and lasting relationship with Izra, and I will do everything in my power to make it work."
My dad smiled warmly, placing a hand on my shoulder. "I believe in you, Burak. Just remember, love is a journey, and it's important to enjoy every step along the way. I wish you all the happiness in the world."
With my dad's blessing and advice, I felt a renewed sense of determination and excitement. I looked forward to the party, where I would have the opportunity to show Izra and her family how much she meant to me. Whatever the future held, I was ready to face it head-on, confident in my revenge for Izra and our potential for a life together. It will be a great time for me but everynight will be a night in hell for her.
