IZRA’S POV: When I finished my work for the day, I stood up and headed to Sir Burak’s office. He had told me to come after my shift. I knocked on his door and entered when he smiled and gestured for me to come in. As I walked inside, he stood up with a smile. I looked down, feeling slightly nervous, and asked, “Why did you call me, sir?” He smiled and replied, “I wanted to give you something.” He walked over to the couch and picked up a neatly placed bag. Coming towards me, he handed it to me and said, “I bought this for you for the party.” I smiled gratefully and replied, “I’m sorry, sir, but I can’t accept this.” He insisted, handing it to me, saying, “I don’t want to hear a ‘no’ for an answer. I spent three precious hours of my life buying this dress for you. I’ve never bought anything for anyone before, so consider yourself lucky and wear this tomorrow at the party.” I nodded, feeling touched, and said, “Thank you so much, sir.” I took the bag and left his office. When I reached home, my aunt looked at my hand and asked, “What is this?” I glanced at my hand and replied, “My boss gave me this as a gift.” She nodded and commented, “Well, you’re lucky. What did you give him in return?” Anger coursed through me as I replied, “What did you just say?” She looked at the bag and nonchalantly said, “Well, rich people don’t give gifts without any reason.” With that, she headed to her room. I went to my room where Shiza, my sister, asked, “What’s in the bag, Api?” I smiled and said, “My boss gave me this as a gift for tomorrow’s party.” I opened it, revealing a beautiful red dress with fairy fur. Shiza’s eyes widened, and she exclaimed, “Is he in love with you, Api? This dress is so beautiful!” Her words caught me off guard, and I quickly responded, “No way, Shiza. He simply gave me this dress because I’m his assistant, and he wants me to look good tomorrow.” I managed to divert the topic, but the dress truly was stunning. It must have been quite expensive. How would I ever repay him for such a gesture? After repacking the dress, I had dinner and went to sleep. The next day, after breakfast, I began my household chores. After lunch, we started getting ready for the evening. I wore the dress, did my makeup and hair, and when I saw myself in the mirror, I felt stunning. As I stepped outside, Furkan looked at me and exclaimed, “Wow, you look incredibly beautiful!” I smiled and we headed towards the car. When we arrived at the venue, there was a grand hall filled with hustle and bustle. As I walked inside with my family, I noticed everyone looking perfect and elegant. I saw Sir Burak he was staring at me. I just passed him a smile. He excuse himself from the men around him and walks toward me. "Good evening." He take out his hand to shake with me and I place my hand in his and to my surprise he kissed at my hand. I look at Furkan who was glaring at his hand in mine. I took my hand out of his and he turned to Furkan, "Hello, I am Burak Sheikh." Furkan nods, "Who don’t know you? I am Furkan." He nods and I turn to my aunt, "That's my aunt Lusy and that's my younger sister Shiza." Burak smiled at her, "Hello both of you." He then turned to me. "Izra, Let me introduce you with some of my business partners." I look back at Shiza and she winked at me, "Go go" I nodded and head with Burak. As we walked through the crowd, Burak introduced me to several people, all of them important figures in the business world. I tried my best to be polite and engage in conversations, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of being out of place. Burak seemed to notice my discomfort and whispered, "Don't worry, just be yourself. You're doing great." His words provided some comfort, and I continued to navigate through the sea of faces and names. After what felt like an eternity, we finally made our way back to where my family was standing. I let out a sigh of relief, grateful to be back in their familiar presence. As the night progressed, I found myself stealing glances at Burak from across the room. There was something about him that captivated me, something beyond his wealth and success. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I was drawn to him in a way I hadn't experienced before. I wondered if he felt the same way, if there was a possibility for something more between us. But I quickly dismissed such thoughts, reminding myself of the reality - he was my boss, and I was his assistant. Crossing that line would only complicate things and potentially jeopardize my job. Besides, even if he did have feelings for me, there were many obstacles in our path - the difference in our social status, his impending retirement, and the expectations placed upon us by society. It was enough to make my head spin. For now, I decided to push those thoughts aside and focus on enjoying the party. After all, it was a rare occasion for me to be attending such an extravagant event, and I didn't want to let my worries overshadow the experience. I danced, laughed, and made memorable moments with my family and friends. And deep down, I couldn't help but hope that maybe, just maybe, the future held something unexpected for Burak and me. But only time would tell.
