The Encounter

It was the last day of school and the vacation was about to start. Elina was not excited about the vacation as she knew that it was going to become the worst vacation for her since her cousins are going to spend the vacation with her. Even though she refused to stay at home during the vacation her mother wanted Elina to stay at home and enjoy with them so badly. Elina loved learning and she was the student with the highest marks in the class and all of the teachers admired her. Her mother was a housewife who was close to her and she was the best friend for Elina and her father was a doctor. He was a calm person with a big heart which was the reason for everyone to love him. He was Elina’s hero and she loved them both abundantly. She had three friends, Jeramy who was the cool one and was the crush for the girls of East High. Evan, the always confused one with the softest heart and also the caring one. Sylvania, the make up beauty who was rich and the genius in make up the foodie and also the joker. The last day of school is kind of an exciting day for all of the students as they can enjoy the day to the fullest. However, Elina was not in a good mood. She was drowned in her world of thoughts.  It was their break before the school assembly. Jeramy, Evan and Sylvania came rushing towards Elina and she was surprised as she was drowned in her thoughts for some time thinking about the things that are about to happen.  “Eli, trust me what I say, you are about to see the best thing ever in this world!” Sylvania said. Eli was confused and started looking around. “what is it? What are you talking about?” Elina asked. “Oh! Come on!! It’s not that important. What are you so excited about? That was just a new boy. What’s so special about him?” said Jeramy. “Can you please explain? What is going on?” Elina said with a confused face. “Wait Eli. Let me explain. There is a new boy and he is from the countryside. He is unbelievably handsome but the problem is today is the last day of school and as you know we won’t be coming to school for a month. And here a new boy comes! I’m sure he is going to receive special attention from all of the teachers. I heard he is rich and he is accepted to East High just because their parents gave a hefty sum of money to our college funds. Anyways the fact that Sylvania is too excited is his looks! I can’t stop laughing! She is totally out of it!” said Evan Elina was still confused as the beginning and the end of the description was not clear enough for her to understand. Elina was called the beauty of Easter High School. But she never used her beauty to do anything. She was a calm, soft and an obedient student. And she was loved by all of the teachers. Even though Sylvania was excited about the new boy, Elina wasn’t. She thought that he is going to be just a new boy from another school. But thigs were different, she did not know that it was her cousin brother. She had never seen her cousins before as she was always busy with studies and researches, she never visited her relatives with her parents. “Eli, look there he comes! Oh no way! Is he in our class? I’m afraid Sylvania is going to go through a lot!” said Jeramy. As Jeramy said that Elina turned her head towards the door of the class. Since there were too many students, she couldn’t see the new boy. After few minutes she saw the unfamiliar face among the crowd. It was the new boy. He was a handsome boy with a blonde hair which moved with the wind and the girls were crying over the handsome boy. He walked into the class. The only empty seat was the one next to Elina. He walked towards the seat and kept his bag on the table. He sat on the chair while walking his eyes around the class. “Hey, is this class 4 – B?” The unfamiliar voice asked from Elina. “Oh yes.” Elina replied. “I wanted to make sure that I’m in the correct class. Thank you! Who’s the class teacher by the way?” he asked. “Our class teacher is Mrs. Emily. Didn’t you meet her? I think new students must meet the class teacher.” Elina replied. “Oh is that so. Would you mind coming with me? I’m not familiar with classes.” He asked. The looks of the new boy were mesmerizing. Elina couldn’t help but say yes. “Yes sure. Follow me” Elina said while standing. Sylvania was looking at them and she blinked at Elina as she got up from her chair. The look of jealousy was shining in the eyes of the girls in the class. The boy followed Elina to the staff room. “Here’s the staff room. I may go now” Elina said while turning her head in order to return to the class. “hey, can you wait here and go back to the class with me?” the boy asked. Elina was surprised and nodded as she couldn’t speak a word. “Why is he talking with me? There were tons of students but he chose me! Oh, for god’s sake let me go! I have a lot to do and to think!” Elina said to herself. After few minutes the boy came out of the teachers’ office. Elina was sitting on the bench which was in front of the teachers’ room. “hey, you waited for me. I thought you might leave” the boy said looking at Elina.
