Bailey's face immediately took on a wary expression. She unconsciously tightened her grip on Bruno's arm, wrinkling his suit jacket. Bruno glanced at his arm impassively, a flicker of displeasure in his eyes. Bailey didn't notice. Her attention was all on Mandy.
She cursed under her breath, 'This shameless slut, daring to seduce the man I have my eye on right after coming back home.'
And the most important thing was that Mandy had become so beautiful, so beautiful that it was as if all the other women around her paled in comparison. Bailey couldn't accept it. Even her voice changed its tune. "Security! How did someone without an invitation get in? Get this riffraff out of here."
Hearing the commotion, the security guards rushed over, about to lay hands on Mandy.
"Stop." Misty walked up and stood in front of Mandy, looking at Wayne. "Mr. Cox, I brought her here."
Misty's identity was special, and Wayne couldn't afford to offend him. He had no choice but to wave his hand, signaling the security guards to leave, and forced a smile. "It's a misunderstanding. Mrs. Willis, please don't take it to heart."
Then, Wayne looked at Mandy again, his tone laced with kindness. "Why didn't you tell us when you came back? You're making such a scene..."
Mandy ignored him completely and raised her glass to Bruno. "Mr. Cress, care for a drink?" She blinked, her eyes both seductive and innocent.
Bailey's expression soured even more. Turning her head, she saw Bruno staring at the wine in Mandy's hand. She was so jealous that she wished she could splash the wine in Mandy's face. But she couldn't do that, at least not in front of everyone and Bruno.
Bruno's eyes fell on Mandy's slender, beautiful fingers. His voice was indifferent. "No, thank you."
Despite being rejected, Mandy didn't feel embarrassed in the slightest. She even took a few steps closer to him and whispered in his ear, "Mr. Cress, you were much more enthusiastic when you were pressing me against the door and bullying me just now." After saying that, she deliberately blew lightly into his ear.
Her voice was very low, but it was loud enough for Bailey to hear.
As she saw Bailey's pale face, her anger suppressed only for the sake of maintaining her image as a refined lady, Mandy's smile widened.
She took a step back, raised her head, and drank the champagne in one gulp. Finally, the tip of her tongue licked the rim of the glass.
Bruno watching nearby gasped at her actions. 'What kind of enchantress is this? Every move she made was captivating. '
Bruno glanced at Mandy, his gaze cold. 'Such a slut, flirting with men everywhere.'
Mandy ignored everyone's gaze and gave Bruno a seductive look. Her tone was ambiguous. "I'll be waiting for you." With that, she left with a smile.
Both Wayne and Bailey's faces were extremely unsightly.
Wayne said to Bruno, "Bruno, I apologize for this scene. I'll take Bailey to handle some family matters first."
Bruno withdrew his arm from Bailey's hand. "Please go ahead."
After Wayne and Bailey left, Bruno's gaze fell on a corner of the banquet hall. The woman who had just licked the rim of her glass and seduced him had already returned to the buffet table and was eating cake, her tongue licking the cream off her lips.
"It was her upstairs, wasn't it?" Robert stopped beside Bruno, his gaze following Bruno's to find Mandy. When he saw the woman talking to Mandy, Robert's eyes darkened.
Bruno looked away. "You seem to know a lot about Mandy. Did your sister-in-law tell you?"
Robert smiled, not answering the question directly. "Mandy is set on you. If you don't want to continue being used by her, you'd better deal with that video as soon as possible, lest it gets to your grandfather like it did back then..."
"She won't easily release the video." Bruno's tone was certain.
Robert suddenly saw the light and smiled. "That's right. If she releases it, she'll have no reason to pester you anymore." He was curious. "From the sound of it, you're going to let her continue?"
"She's so charming. It wouldn't hurt to play along, but don't play with fire. Be careful not to get burned."
*****
Three days later at the Harbor Club.
After getting Bruno's itinerary, Mandy immediately rushed over with Iris Medina. Not long after entering the first floor, they saw Bruno at a table near the bar. Sitting next to him were a few of his close friends. Bruno, dressed in a tailored suit, sat there, exuding an aura of "stay away," completely at odds with the surrounding noise, like an iceberg that never melted. If Mandy hadn't personally felt his body heat, she really would have thought that he was as cold inside as he looked on the outside.
'Well, that's the way men are,' Mandy thought.
Mandy and Iris sat down at the bar, their position diagonally opposite Bruno. Iris glanced over there and asked in a low voice, "Manda, what's the plan?"
Mandy swirled her glass, her beautiful eyes staring straight at the man across from her.
Bruno seemed to sense someone watching him and looked up in their direction. Mandy's eyes met his.
Mandy gave him a seductive smile.
Bruno's eyes were indifferent and calm, as if he didn't recognize her at all.
After a few short seconds, he looked away.
Mandy's fingers tapped on the table, her red nails ghostly and sexy in the dim light. She stood up under Iris's worried gaze. "Let's attack indirectly. Just wait for the show."
