Chapter 3: Sparks and Scars The studio was quiet as Selene arrived early the next day, preparing to face the uneasy truce. Her team hummed with activity around the models and renderings, unaware of the clash between their two leaders. Adrian arrived moments later, his usual cold precision replaced with a restless energy. They exchanged brief nods, both unwilling to offer any warmth. The first joint meeting was a disaster. Every idea Selene proposed was met with Adrian's pointed critique; every technical suggestion of his was dismissed by her as lacking heart. "You’re designing for statistics," Mr Adrian Cole she snapped, "not for the people who will live here." "And you’re designing for dreams," miss Selene Hart he shot back, "not for reality." There was an heated argument between them until Selene slammed her hands on the table, breathing hard. "Enough," said a voice from behind them. Elias Vaughn, Selene’s trusted project manager, stepped in, his presence a calming force. "We need to find common ground," he said. "For the project, for the city."
