Something Is Off

William Pov I watched her for hours. She got a message on her phone and left immediately. I wanted to see Aria but I also wanted to see where this young lady was going. She crossed her packs land and went into Alpha Mason's territory. I was beginning to have second thoughts but I saw her face and felt a need to continue to observe her. She went over to what looked like an abandoned home and I noticed the gentleman from before was already inside. I grew annoyed and decided to leave but then I saw him lean closer to her and I watched them a bit more. I didn't know why I was so invested in this. All I wanted was to see her and see if my blood had any effect on her but being near her now is driving me crazy. I can't put my finger on it but this feeling seems familiar. As they continued to make out I really did decide it was best for me to leave. I was starting to turn away when suddenly I felt her nervousness. She was breathing heavier and looking at her male friend more intently. She suddenly got up and ran out of the vacant house. I ran after her. She was a very beautiful wolf. She was half white and half black, a perfect blend of her parents. It was unusual but spectacular nonetheless. I followed her as far as she ran, I found it curious that she could sense me. She didn't spot me completely but she knew I was there. I ran back to Aria's pack's territory and made my presence known. Her pack warriors told her I was here and they led me to her home. I wanted to beat her daughter back to her home and it seemed I did. "OMG, long time no see," Aria shouted. "What the hell." Aria punched me in the arm, she was very strong, I actually felt it. "I can't believe your back," I felt her come into the house. All of my senses were focused on her. I wanted to turn my head and look at her. I heard her steps coming closer to the room. Her scent was strong, it was a very strong subtle floral scent, like peony or dahlia. She entered the room and I finally got so close to her that my body wanted to reach out and touch any part of her. "Delilah, your home," Aria said to her-"This is an old friend of mine, William." She looked nervous and timid. I would have reached out to shake her hand but I knew it would only cause more trouble for me. "Hi," she said softly. I said hello back but I didn't change my facial expression. "Took you long enough," Aria cut in. "Why didn't you come back sooner." "I had some things to take care of," I said in a deep tone. I thought of the reason I stayed away and hoped I made the right decision by coming back. "Did you hear about Father Calvin's passing," Aria asked me. "Yeah, I stopped by his grave this morning," I told her knowing she would think I was avoiding coming to see her. "Oh, so you've been here for a while," my mother remarked. "I've only been here for a day," I said with a small smile. Delilah was looking at me as if she was studying my every move. I never turned to look back at her but I knew her eyes were fixed on me. "So how long are you staying," James asked me. "Not sure," I responded. I finally turned to look at her and when my eyes met hers she looked down at the floor and then to the side of the room. She didn't excuse herself, she simply ran upstairs and laid on her bed. I paid attention to all of her movements until I left. "So, where are you staying?" Aria asked me. "At the church," I told her. "Oh, you could stay here," Aria told me. "I don't want to intrude," I said slowly. I just wanted to observe the child, I didn't want to stay any longer than I had too. I had seen a little bit of strange behavior but perhaps it was nothing. I left Aria's home but I heard Delilah breathing heavily again. I jumped onto the tree by her bedroom. I cloaked myself from the wolves and watched her for a bit. She looked like she was having a nightmare. I didn't know what to do. I decided to watch her until she woke up the next day. The minute she woke up she was shocked to see she was still in her room. "What the hell was that," she said confused. She sat on her bed for fifteen minutes until her mother shouted for her to get ready and come downstairs. She took off her shirt and shorts and went into her bathroom. I looked away knowing I shouldn't spy on her when she is undressing. She came back out twenty minutes later in nothing but a towel. Her skin looked so soft. The water running down her leg was taunting me. I didn't know why I was so captivated by this young woman. Yes, she was beautiful but I have seen many beautiful women throughout my lifetime. I feel like I am even more captivated by her than I was by Aria and even Valencia. Which, I didn't think was even possible. I went back to the church and let Delilah get dressed. I figured I would observe her later on in the day. Later that day, as I walked over to Aria's pack territory, I felt a strange presence. I didn't catch the scent of what it was until I was close enough to it. Something was masking it, but the minute I closed in on it I knew what it was. VAMPIRES! Suddenly, I heard tons of screaming and growls. Aria's pack was under attack again. I ran over to the house. I don't know why but I think I knew who they were looking for. Any vampire willing to walk into any wolf territory isn't doing it because they got lost. I ran to Aria's house and saw the door wide open. Pack warriors were fighting five vampires. Delilah wasn't in the house but she wasn't far away. I followed her scent to the woods and saw her running from two vampires. Why wasn't she shifting? I used a spell to stop them. "Gelar," I said and they froze where they stood. Delilah quickly turned around and was shocked to see them standing in place. She tried to come forward but tripped on something. She fell and went unconscious. I snapped the neck of the two vampires frozen in front of me and then picked Delilah up and took her with me.
