I had such a long night. I really had tried to get some sleep. But it did not work for me. Not even with Greg snoring beside me all night long. I was just to worried about Alice.
I could not help it. Once we got her home and our lives got back to normal again then I was sure that I would be able to get to sleep. Knowing Alice was safe at home with Sam.
I took a long hot shower. Marcia and Jan were cooking breakfast for us all. I was to meet everyone over there at the Brady's home. Greg planned on telling his mother soon that he was going to move in over here with me.
Because she had Bobby at home as well as Peter. I get dressed after I dry off from my shower. I blow dry my hair. As I fix my make up the phone rings.
I rush to get it and not bother with my make up.

"Hello?" I answers hoping that it was the hospital calling about my Aunt.
"Hey, it is Jen" says my friend.
"Oh, Jen sorry I have not been in touch about the date" I sigh.
"I know about Alice that was why I am calling. Did you need me to break off the date?" she worries.
"Do not do that. Bobby was so looking forward to this night. No do not break it. I will see what happens. Alice might be coming home. At least we hope" I explain to her.
"That is wonderful news" says Jennifer.
"Sure, is we hope" I point out.
"Pete was so worried about her. Oh, guess what else?" she asks me.
"What?" I wonder.
"His divorce was finalized. And we are dating only one another. He will get his kids one weekend and he wants me to meet them" she happily brags.
She sounded so happy.
"I am thrilled for you and Pete" I tell her.
"Thank you for hooking us up" she gratefully tells me.
"No problem. I better get going. I will call you later tonight is that alright?" I ask her.
"Sure, that is fine" she replies before we hang up. "tell Alice I am praying for her"
"I will do that" I promise as we hang up.
Greg comes in the room.

"Everyone wonders where you are? Is everything okay? We are waiting for you" he explains as he pulls me into his arms. He kisses me.
"I am fine. That was Jen on the phone wondering if I wanted to break the date with Bobby and them. I told her no. This date will get my mind off Alice" I tell him.
"Such a trooper" he teases me. He kisses me. "Sam thinks Alice might come home soon" he reminds me.
"That is what he told me to. I sure hope so" I sigh.
"Come have breakfast. The girls are excited to spend time with you" he reminds me. "you need to take care of my Daisy to" he softly says sweetly.
"I love you so much and your family" I say.
"Come honey" he orders as he takes me by the hand.
We walk over to his family home after I lock the door to my home. We were going up to the hospital once we were done eating at his folks place.
"Hi Daisy!" everyone greets me with excitement when I walk into the room.
"Bobby you will be happy to know I told Jen no do not break the big date" I brag.
He beams a happy smile. "Thanks Daisy you are one in a million. Greg do not let this one go" he jokes.
"I do not plan on it" laughs Greg as he winks at me.
He looked so handsome today. Wearing a purple polka dot shirt tan slacks, his hair was so cute and curly.
I wanted to mess it up. But I held back. I was wearing a simple orange flower print skirt for Greg. I had a yellow scarf wrapped around my neck sideways. That was a style.
"You look so darling in that dress Daisy. I need to borrow that from you" teases Jan.
"You can anytime" I offer.
"Watch it she loses things" warns Marcia.
"Does not!" pouts Jan.
"She sure does" Cindy tells me.
I laugh. Greg and the boys went to get more silverware for their mother.

"Sam was on the phone they are letting Alice come home today" brags Mrs. Brady. We all squeal. Everyone was hugging me tightly.
"I can't believe it" I say as I hold back happy tears. "I have to tell Greg" I say.
I go to head in the kitchen to find him. I had to tell him the good news. I stop when I overhear him talking to the guys.
"When are you popping the big question to Daisy?" asks Pete.
What?
He was asking me to marry him??
"Very soon. Next week but once Alice is home. And no more worries" he tells them. "I have a romantic night planned for her"
My heart skips a happy beat.
"I am so happy for you Greg. Daisy is a groovy girl" says Bobby.
"I am happy. Alice and mom were right. She is perfect for me. In every way. We are soulmates. I could see myself spending forever with that girl" he softly tells them.
I grin as I have happy tears in my eyes. I rush back to the dinging room before they knew I was there.

"Daisy did you find Greg?" asks Mrs. Brady.
"He was coming out. I did not want to bother him" I stammer. My heart was full of joy. I was going to say yes when he asked me to marry him. Next week. I had to get my hair done and I had to get my nails done next week and maybe a new dress to!
"Daisy?" speaks up Cindy.
"Sorry yes?" I answer.
"You seem to be a million miles away" laughs Jan.
"Sorry day dreaming" I joke.
"Sam will drive Alice home soon want to wait for her here?" asks Jan.
"Sure I can do that" I agree.
"Then we can all have breakfast here" says Mrs. Brady. "together"
"What is going on ladies?" ask Greg as the boys come back.
"Guess who is on her way home?" I tell him.
"Alice?" he asks me. I nod. He sets the silverware down on the table. He rushes to me then twirls me about in his arms. "Oh Daisy such good news. I am so happy for you" he says. He kisses me. We laugh.
"Me to Greg" I say.
The doorbell rings. We all rush to the door as we follow Mrs. Brady who was going to answer the door.
"Special delivery!" jokes Sam.
Alice pops up from behind him. We all cheer. We hug her.

"Auntie!!" I gush.
"Well I love this welcome home" Alice says with happy tears in her eyes.
"We love you Alice" says Marcia.
"We sure do" agrees Pete.
"Come on all come eat breakfast. We have a lot to celebrate now" Mrs. Brady orders us.
Greg shyly smiles at me. Marry him. He was going to ask me. Love for him swells in my heart. I almost wanted to beg ask me now. But I could wait for his beautiful proposal he was planning out for me.
"Come on Daisy" Greg tells me.
He kisses me on the cheek.
"Greg?" I say as I hold him back.
"Yes?" he asks.
"I love you. I love you so much" I softly say.
I hold him close then kiss his lips before we join the others.
