I woke the next morning in Greg's embrace. It was so very nice. It was a beautiful sunny day outside. And the sun shone through my room. The birds were singing away.
I smile as I lay on my pillow not wanting to get out of bed. After we ate our lovely dinner the night before we made love again. I could not count how many times we could not keep our hands off one another.
I sigh with contentment. I wondered where this new love was going to lead us. Marriage? Would Greg be willing to move in with me over here?
And leave his family? I hoped one day he would. If he asked me to marry him, I would accept in a heartbeat. I would love to be Greg's wife. I smile as I think over all the wonderful possibilities.

"Good morning Daisy" I hear Greg whisper near my ear.
I roll around to face him. Planting a kiss on his lips.
"Morning Greg" I whisper back. I wrap my arms around his neck holding his body even closer to me.
"This has to be the best day ever. The best feeling ever. Waking up next to you Daisy" he says softly to me.
"I feel the same way. I wish this moment did not have to end" I sigh. "but it does" I say.
"Yeah!" he mutters softly. "we have to go back to our lives. Back to work"
"And you have to go back home" I say.
"I do. But I will come back" he offers.
"I can't wait" I say as I run my fingers in his curly soft hair.
He smiles at me. The doorbell rings.

"Were you expecting someone?" he asks me.
"At this hour? No" I say. We get dressed. "I will be right there" I call down. The door bell rings urgently.
We rush downstairs as fast as we can go. I swing the door open. And there was Bobby. He had tears in his eyes.
"Bobby what is wrong?" I ask him. He hugs me.
"You are scaring me. Man tell me what is going on?" Demands Greg.
"It is Alice. We tried to call you both late in the night. Alice is in the hospital. She had a minor heart attack" he warns me.
"Aunt Alice!!" I gasp.
"I will take you to her Bobby what hospital is she at?" Greg wants to know.
Bobby tells us what happened. What hospital aunt Alice was at. Tears come to me as Greg drives me to the hospital.
She had to be alright. I took the phone off the hook last night so Greg and I could have some alone time was all. Now this happened. Greg takes my hand in his.

"She will be alright Daisy" he softly promises me.
"I Hope so. I love her so much" I manage to say.
He nods. "We all do" he reminds me.
We soon get to the ER. And we check in when we get there. I rush to Alice's room. Sam was waiting outside for us. Uncle Sam. He looked so upset. So worried.
"Thank you for getting here. Alice was asking about Daisy. She was worried" Sam tells me.
"What happened? She had been fine" I ask him.
"We were having a back yard barbeque. Then as she sat drinking her beer her hand went to her heart. She called out for me. Saying Sam, I am in pain. Call someone" he tells me. "and they got her here. And told me she had a heart attack. Her heart is weak" he warns me.
"Oh Alice" I stammer.
Tears come to me.
"We have to be brave. Not worry her. No crying in front of her" Greg points out. He hugs me. He was right. Alice needed us to be strong.
"You are right" I sniff back tears. He kisses me.
"Alice is a fighter she will be fine" he says to me.
I nod. "Right" I agree.

We go into see her. She looked frail as she lay in her bed there. Covered up in a blanket.
I sit beside her bedside not wanting to wake her from her slumber. I take her hand in mine as her heart monitor beeps. She looked so sick. I hated to see her like this.
"The girls have been at her side since. And your mom Greg. They are down getting lunch though" says Sam as he smiles at me. "she has some wonderful people to fight with her"
"She sure does" says Greg.
"Daisy!" softly Alice says as her eyes flutter open. I hug her tightly.
"I was so scared with Bobby came to get me" I tell her. "I am so sorry my phone was off the hook"
"Oh, it is alright. I will be fine" she tells me.
"I can't believe you had a heart attack" I tell her.
"They say now red meat is bad for you" she laughs. "who knew?"
"Alice you will be better and go home soon. Watch" says Greg.
"I hope you are right buddy" she tells him.
"I know I am" says Greg.
The others come in the room.
"Oh, Bobby got Daisy. Thank heavens you are here now" says Mrs. Brady. We hug.
"I am grateful. Thank you" I tell them.
They nod.

"Alice how are you feeling? Do you need anything?" asks Jan.
"I am fine. Really. Stop fussing" scoffs Alice.
"You are so used to looking out for us. Now we have to look out for you" points out Marcia.
"So right on that" says Mrs. Brady. "We will take care of you Alice. Then you can come home"
"Stop worrying. I feel better already" says Alice. "I can't stand seeing you all so sad"
"Can you blame us? We love you so much" Greg tells her.
She beams a smile. "I love all you to" she gushes.
Greg hugs her. "You brought me Daisy. You helped me grow up. I love to you so much Alice" he tells her.
"I love you to Greg" she replies.
Greg looked close to tears. I take his hand and lead him out into the hall. He hugs me.
"Baby it will be alright" I softly tell him.
"It reminds me of when we lost my dad to. I can't take this again" he cries on me.
"Oh Greg" I say.
I run my fingers in his hair holding him close. To comfort him.

"Thank god you are here for her. And for me this time" he says. "I need you Daisy. I don't want to be alone tonight" he sniffs back tears.
"You don't have to. Spend another night with me" I offer.
"Really?" he asks me.
I nod as I pull him back. "Yes, I love you. I do not want to be alone right now either"
"Alright" he softly answers me.
He kisses me. "Alice brought me you. I am forever grateful to her. I love you with all my heart Daisy"
"I love you to Greg. I love you" I answer.
He kisses me. Making my worries fade for a moment.
