chapter 1: The Girl in the Forest The mountain was peaceful that afternoon. The sky was clear, the wind was cold, and the trees moved gently as the breeze passed through them. Jamie Carter walked along the mountain trail with his backpack. He had come to the mountain alone. He wasn't looking for trouble. He simply wanted to escape the noise of the city and enjoy the beautiful view from the top. Jamie stopped for a moment and looked at the scenery. "Wow..." The mountains stretched endlessly in front of him. "This was worth the hike." He smiled and continued walking. But several minutes later, something caught his attention. A strange sound came from deep inside the forest. Crack. Jamie stopped. He looked toward the trees. "What was that?" He listened carefully. Nothing. He continued walking. Then he heard something again. This time, it sounded like someone breathing heavily. Jamie slowly moved toward the sound. The deeper he went into the forest, the darker it became. Then he saw something on the ground. A person. Jamie froze. There was a girl lying motionless beneath the trees. Her clothes were covered in dirt. There was blood on her arm and blood across the side of her face. Her eyes were closed. Jamie immediately dropped his backpack. "Oh my God!" He rushed toward her. "Hey!" He knelt beside the girl. "Can you hear me?" No response. Jamie checked if she was breathing. She was. But her breathing was weak. "Hey, stay awake!" He gently tapped her shoulder. The girl didn't move. Jamie looked around nervously. "Who did this to you?" Of course, the unconscious girl couldn't answer. Her name was Rolgried Heart. But Jamie didn't know that. He had never seen her before. He didn't know she was a high school student. He didn't know she was the daughter of a powerful mafia family. And he definitely didn't know that the unconscious girl lying in front of him was feared by some of the most dangerous people in the city. Jamie only saw a wounded girl who desperately needed help. He took out his phone. "I'm calling an ambulance." But before he could make the call— BANG! A distant gunshot echoed through the forest. Jamie froze. His face turned pale. "What the...?" He looked toward the direction of the gunshot. Another sound followed. BANG! Jamie immediately looked back at the unconscious girl. Suddenly, he realized something. This wasn't an accident. Someone had been chasing her. Jamie quickly picked up his backpack and looked around. "We need to get out of here." He carefully tried to lift the girl. "Come on..." She was completely unconscious. Jamie struggled to carry her. "You're heavier than you look..." He slowly lifted her onto his back. Then he heard voices coming from the forest. "Search the area!" "She couldn't have gone far!" "Find Rolgried Heart!" Jamie stopped. He didn't know who Rolgried Heart was. He only knew one thing. Those people were looking for the girl he had just found. Jamie whispered, "Who are you?" The unconscious girl gave no answer. Jamie tightened his grip and started running. Behind them, several armed men entered the area where Rolgried had collapsed. One of them looked at the blood on the ground. "She was here." Another man looked toward the trees. "She must still be alive." "Find her." Meanwhile, Jamie was carrying Rolgried deeper into the forest. He had no idea where he was going. He had no idea who she was. And he had no idea why armed men were hunting her. All he knew was that he couldn't leave an unconscious girl alone in the middle of the forest. Jamie looked at the girl's pale face. "Don't die, okay?" For a moment, Rolgried's fingers moved slightly. But she remained unconscious. Jamie continued running. And behind them, the people hunting Rolgried were getting closer.
