My usual weekend, just chilling it's around 7pm and my phone keeps on buzzing, gosh! I looked at my phone and its Aubrey, my friend at work I almost forgot that tonight is our night out, damn then I picked up the call; “Hey, Alex! Still at your apartment huh?” Aubrey, “Yeah, getting ready. Where are you?” “At the club duh, come on! There so many boys tonight who might lose your virginity HAHA!” “Down girl, be there at 8pm.” “Better be! See you. Love you” “Yes, love you more!” then hung up. I throw my phone on the couch then head to the shower. By the way, I’m Alexandra Valentin, 25 years old and single. 3 years ago my Aunt gave me this opportunity to move in with her in Los Angeles and now I’m proud to say that I’m a success and achieve my goal of being a Doctor. Every Saturday night is our ritual, my workmates at the hospital go out and have fun. So I got ready because my friend Aubrey is already there, I put light make-up, pick my body-con dress and a pair of black suede block heels and a black sparkling sling bag. I took a cab because I might not able to drive back to my apartment when this night end. I headed to the club and after 15 minutes I finally arrived, so I texted Aubrey to inform her that I’m coming inside. “I’m here, can’t see you.” xx “But I can see you, up here at VIP area.” xx I went to the VIP area and I saw my friend, Aubrey and she’s with two guys. I call her name while she’s laughing while talking to the other men. “Aubrey! Where are the others?” with a questioning look, because clearly, I don’t know those guys with her. “Hey Alex, you’re here. Oh, about the staff actually this night out with them was canceled. But hey I got a company. Come on have a seat let me introduce them to you.” she gave me a smile and winked at me then hold my hand. “Hi guys, so this is my friend Alexandra” she added. I was looking at Aubrey while she’s talking in introducing me. When I take a glance at the table I wasn’t able to move, I was stars struck. Is she serious? The other guy who’s looking at me is f*****g gorgeous. For a moment our eyes met and locked, I cannot hear anything it feels like we were the only people in the club.   I could tell right now that my cheeks are getting hot red to cut the awkward situation I extend my hand to give them a handshake. “Hi, nice to meet you both. You guys call me Alex.” then I smiled. “Hi I’m Michael and this is Nicolas” the guy replied while responding with my handshake. “Nicolas.” replied, when I look at him our eyes met again. But this time it’s just a glance but I sense that he still looking at me that makes me feel an uneasy and weird feeling. I took a seat beside Aubrey. Oh my God, my throat is getting dry. Need water, in my mind. I didn’t want to talk because of my drying throat so I took Aubrey’s glass and drink. But after having the effects of the drinks we had, we were able to have some fun. We dance, drink, talk and laugh. My partner Aubrey is with Michael and me with Nicolas, when I noticed that the other partner were no to be found I guess they’re still at the club. I just enjoyed Nicola’s company, we are just vibing the music until I did not realize that are hands our traveling to each other's body that leaving a shiver and we are being too close while dancing, I felt a stung the weird feelings are starting to back again. In just a moment our lips are so close like we are about to kiss. I gathered my thoughts back and move avoiding the situation, I calm then told him, “I can’t see Aubrey and Michael”. “Maybe they went somewhere. Let’s go upstairs where we could have a better view to find them here.” I nodded and headed to the second floor, while walking I felt his hands grabbing my waist, Gosh! I like the feeling but I need to be careful - in my head.  We can’t find them I was about to call Aubrey when I received her text message. “Alex, I know you might be looking for me right now. Relax, okay. I’m with Michael just want to have a private moment. I love you!” This message made me calm and I don’t have an idea why in the world I asked Nicolas to go for another bar more like chill vibes to calm my feelings.  “You wanna go somewhere else? I mean other quiet bars.” “Yeah, sure!” he replied. He took me to a bar, with a singer and pianist. Wow, I like it here. A piano?! No way, I want to play and sing. This can help me cool down. Her thoughts. “Have you been here?” he cut and asked me. “No, this is my first time here. I liked it here and I love playing the piano.” facing him with a smile.  “I should see you play.” teasing me. “No way,” I replied with a pout. “Okay, we should play a game. If I won, you are going to play the piano and sing in front of us but if you won, it is your choice what would be the consequence.” “What kind of game?” “Who’s gonna be the first to surrender to drink will be the loser.” “Oh boy, you don’t want to see the other side of me.” winked at him. Ending we both reach our limit and call it a tie, But then he asked me to sing for him. This time I did not resist, I sat down and played the piano started singing “If Ain’t Got You” while getting carried away. I just continue singing feeling that I am alone and no one is watching me. I missed this, since I moved here to LA I wasn’t able to touch one again. After finishing the song I stand up it is when I noticed everyone in the bar was looking at me and clapped their hands. Wow, this is the first time. Feels good, to be honest. I was going back to our seat but then he grabbed my hand and drag me out of the bar, it was then I realized he’s about to kiss me. This time, when our lips kissed I kiss him back, we had a passionate kiss but then my phone buzz and I need to end this kiss.  “Someone-is-calling-and-I-need-to-answer.” then I let go of our lips. He still holding my waist with his both hands though. “Hello?” answering the phone call. “Oh, I’m glad you picked up. It’s me, Aubrey, s**t me and Michael are in trouble. I need you.” low tone voice. “Okay, where are you?” “Police station” “WHAT?! How?” “Please can you please get us out of here?” “Okay, will be on our way.” After 10 minutes drive, we arrived at the Police Station when Nicolas told me that he will handle everything. When we are inside he head to the front desk, and after almost half an hour, Aubrey and Michael got out. This is when I need to call it a night. “Well, I guess we will be going home. Thank you for this wonderful night, I really enjoyed the time we spent. See you again.” smiling at Nicolas. “Oh, we can drive you home,” Nicolas replied. “No, it’s were fine actually. Bye!” then I hold Aubrey’s hand inside a cab parked outside. Before I got inside I kissed Nicolas cheek and whispered “Nice to meet you, thanks for everything. Hope to see you again.”
