Chapter 2

-8 years later-

Lianna is getting ready with lily in her bedroom. She's already finished getting dressed, wearing a beautiful slim fitting blue dress. She walks to the closet to get the brand new dress for lily, with lily sitting on the bed waiting for her mom to show her, her new outfit.

"ok lily, I know you don't like dresses but, you need to wear this." Lianna says walking out of the closet holding up a baby blue princess style cut that poofs out at the waist and the top portion is covered in sequins.

"No! I hate dresses I don't want to wear that I want a tee shirt and shorts mom!" lily screams jumping off the bed and running out of the bedroom and down the hall of their place.

The Alphas quarters take up the fifth floor of the pack house, this level is for the Alpha and Luna and their children. The fourth level for the beta and his family and then the third level for the gamma and their family. the second floor is for the previous Alpha and Luna and other high ranking members of the pack. .

Lianna chases Lily out of the bedroom. "Lily you need to put this on! We have guests waiting for us!"

"Never!" Lily screams continuing down the hall.

Leon walks out of the nursery holding a toddler and watches his beautiful Luna chasing his beautiful daughter whose wearing nothing but her underwear.

"Lily Rose Andrews, come here." Leon says sternly.

Lily stops in her tracks and looks at her father, and walks over to him frowning. "but dad, mom is trying to make me wear a dress." lily says crossing her arms against her chest.

Leon looks at Lianna holding back a laugh and hands her the baby. "here take James for me ill take Lily."

Lianna lets out a chuckle and walks back to the nursery to finish getting James ready.

Leon looks down at Lily and kneels holding the dress. "Lily you need to put this dress on, we have guests coming for a celebration for James' third birthday and to celebrate a merger between packs."

Lily keeps her arm crossed looking at her father.

Leon gives out a chuckle. "stubborn just like me. If you wear this dress you can stay up later with liam downstairs."

Lily thinks about it and looks at him. "Ok!"

Leon unzips the dress and holds it out for lily to take, waits for her to finish pulling it up, and turns her around to zip the dress up. "ok now lets go find mom to do your hair."

Lily smiles and nods running to the nursery.

Leon walks in after her and takes james. "princess needs her hair done hun."

"ok James is fed and dressed ready to go." she holds her hand out to Lily who takes it. "Ok princess, lets go fix your hair up and then we can go down to see everyone"

Lianna takes Lily to her bedroom and Lily sits at the vanity. "alright princess how about just a normal pony and we'll leave your bangs down."

"ok mom, I like that idea."

Lianna brushes out Lily's hair smiling at Lily's black hair with tints of blue and grabs a pony tail from the drawer, pulling Lily's hair into a nice high pony. "All done, lets go see if daddy is ready with James now."

They walk out of the room lily holding Lianna's hand and looks at her dad whose holding James and in a nice suit.

"Looking good ladies." Leon says smiling and admiring his Luna and daughter.

"Alpha Colin and Liam should be here already." Leon says looking at the time on his watch.

"Really! I'm going ahead then! Bye mom and dad." lily squeals running to the door.

"Lily don't get your dress dirty!" Lianna says quickly as her daughter darts out the door.

Lily runs down all the stairs looking for Colin and Liam in the main foyer. Colin walks in through the door with Liam right beside him. Liams dressed quite nicely and has gotten taller and grown his dark hair out a little, he looks like a miniature version of his dad, his dad also sharing the dark ruffled hair with grey eyes.

"Uncle Colin!" Lily squeals running to Colin. Colin picks her up and hugs her.

"Now this cant be miss Lily, she's wearing a dress and I know miss Lily doesn't wear dresses." Colin says laughing as he puts her back down.

"you look really pretty Lily." Liam says with a smile surprised she's in a dress.

"thank you Liam, Uncle Colin mom and dad made me wear this." she says crossing her arms against her chest and pouting.

"Colin!" Leon says coming down the steps holding Lianna's hand while she holds James in her other arm. "I think my daughter likes you better than us." he says laughing.

"Well that's obvious I'm uncle Colin and I don't make her wear dresses." Colin says laughing back and walking over and giving Leon a side hug and patting his back. "Theres my handsome godson James." He exclaims and takes James from Lianna.

Leon nods. "yea my little man."

Liam looks at Lily, whose staring at the adults looking bored. "Lily, would you like to go out and play?"

Lily perks up and looks at Liam. "yes! of course." Lily grabs Liam's hand and runs outside to the playground.

Lily sits on the swing and tries to get herself swinging.

"Here Lily let me help you." Liam says chuckling and grabs the chains on her swing and walks backwards and gives her a push when he lets go of the chains, then gets on the swing beside her and starts swinging.

Lily squeals in excitement as she gets higher than she normally does on her own.

-Leons POV-

I look over at Colin quietly needing to speak with him about some important news. "Colin we should go discuss some things in my office."

"yea there's some things I should inform you of as well." Colin hands Lianna James back.

I give Lianna a kiss. "Go to the dining room and let the guests meet James, tell them im dealing with some important business and ill be in shortly." I look over at Colin. "Ok lets go." I make my way into my office and sit down at my desk and look at Colin who shuts the door and sits across from me.

"So I got word from some allies nearing the south boarder. Blood Moon has been slaughtering packs that don't give him a female of his choosing." I tell Colin quickly.

Colin nods. "Yes ive heard the same. with you in the east and me in the north we have the east and north secure. We should offer safe haven to some of the packs that are closer to the south. Blood Moon is growing rather quickly now, Hes taking thrones and any pack that declines he kills the Alpha and Luna infront of the members and then tells the warriors to join his pack and slaughters the rest that aren't family to any of the warriors. Even killing some betas and gammas that wont trade sides."

I nod having heard the same thing. "what I don't think you've heard is he's claiming these women as mistresses even referring to them as trophy's, he's looking for women with powers or that are just beautiful."

Colin lets out a deep sigh. "were heading for a war. We probably have awhile though, the packs in the west have mentioned that they will be refusing Edwards advances, we will need to ally with them, the south is at least a week by running in wolf form so we have a lot time before he reaches up here.

I nod and pull out a map. "He's only taken small packs in the south, he's trying to grow to out number the larger packs. it will take years before he can advance. In the meantime we should take our allies north into Canada. start building temporary safe havens to keep packs safe."

Colin nods in agreement. "I agree I've already reached out to a few small packs in Ontario as my pack is right near the boarder there. they all are good with mergers."

"then it's settled. it will take us time to gather up enough allies to overthrow him, he's the largest in the south. me in the east you in the north and the Winfreys in the west. Nathan and Sandra are close to the south. they need to relocate and soon though as they're not the biggest pack."

Colin nods, "he's got the power of strength. he's using rogues as well."

"well just have to figure out how to beat him in the meantime."

Colin looks at Leon quietly. "theres something else. As I'm sure you've noticed Carol is not with me and Liam."

I look at him quietly and nod.

Colin lets out a deep sigh. "she's sick, the doctor's don't know what's wrong it's like she's aging quicker. becoming weaker slowly."

I stand up walk around my desk and sit on it so im beside Colin. "I'm sorry, I can't imagine how you and Liam feel."

Colin looks up at Leon. "Liam has noticed, he's not sure how bad it is but he's been helping extra. Carol forced us to come I didn't want to leave her, she said Liam needed to have more fun and knew lily could cheer him up in and instant."

I let out a laugh and stand up patting Colin on the shoulder. "Carol is definitely smart, Liam has always taken to lily." I walk over to the window and look out to see lily and Liam having a mud fight. "come here."

Colin stands up and walks over to the window and immediately laughs.

-lily and liam-

Lily picks up a big handful of mud and throws it at Liam with it hitting him in the face, which makes her burst out laughing.

Liam gets the mud off his face walks over to lily and pushes it into her face and starts laughing.

"hey!" Lily squeals laughing and wipes it off and looks at Liam who is absolutely covered in mud then down at herself. "were going to get in alot of trouble."

Liam lets out a chuckle. "your mom is going to freak when she sees your dress."

"Lily Rose Andrews!"

Lily's face instantly turns to shock when she turns and sees her mom walking toward her without James, but with Alpha Nathan, Luna Sandra and Julia and Eric.

"shall we get her Liam?" Lily says looking at Liam and grabs a handful of mud quickly.

Liam looks at her with a smirk. "well we're already in trouble anyways, may as well make it worth it."

Lily smiles deviously, she looks at her mom and throws the mud, hitting her mom right in to chest.

"Lily! we hav-" Lianna is cut off when Liam's mud pile hits her in the face. "oh you little brats!" Lianna bends over picks up two mud piles and hits the kids while laughing.

Eric runs over to join Liam and Lily with throwing mud at the adults.

"Hi Eric!" lily says smiling and throws a pile of mud at Nathan.

"Great job making a boring gathering fun lily and Liam!"

Julia comes up behind the 3 of them with a bucket of mud and pours it on them.

"hey!" the 3 of them scream and laugh.

-leon and colin-

"no way, Lianna is joining we better join to" Leon says quickly taking off his suit jacket and throwing it on his chair.

Colin starts laughing. "Leon other alphas are coming out of the building and Nathan is basically rolling in the mud trying to get the kids!"

Leon runs back to the window and looks out his eyes widen when he sees the other alphas from other packs join into the mud war. "let's go teach those kids a lesson!" he says laughing.

Colin takes his jacket off. "that daughter of yours sure knows how to make something boring fun."

And with that both Colin and Leon were running out of the office to the yard to join in the mud fight
