-6 years later-
Lily was 15 turning 16 and she was on her way to visit Liam with her mother Lianna, Father Leon and Brother James. they were visiting for Liam's 18th birthday since it was going to be an extremely important one. Liam was about to get his wolf. Lily and Liam's birthdays were about a week difference so the family decided to stay to celebrate both kids' birthdays, so that Leon and Colin can collaborate on their plans on furthering packs north away from Blood Moon and because it's been about 2 years since they last visited. Lily and Liam had kept in touch texting one another but it wasn't the same as actually being around one another.
Colin's pack moved to northern Ontario and while Leon's pack also moved north, he was still 12 hours by drive from Colin's back since Leon took over Colin's old pack house to save money on building. Blood Moon had become bigger but still not big enough to take out bigger alphas like Colin or Leon.
Lily was sitting in the backseat staring out the window wondering what it would be like to run as a wolf through the cliffs and rocky areas that northern Ontario had a lot of. She was in absolute awe since it was so much different than southern Ontario. James was watching his favorite show on his tablet and her mom was in the front seat putting things together, but Lily wasn't sure what.
Leon looked in the back at Lily through his rearview mirror. "Are you excited to see Colin, Carol and Liam and their new pack house lily?"
Lily took her eyes off the window to look in her father's direction. "Yes, I am, it's been so long, do you think Liam or uncle Colin will recognize me?"
Leon let out a chuckle, knowing full well what she meant. Lily had made a lot of changes within the last year, wearing summer dresses and using make-up, and she had grown a little taller. "I don't know, you've made a lot of changes and really blossomed this last year."
"Yes, into the beautiful young woman your becoming. I've loved bonding with you and helping you learn how to do your makeup sweetie."
Lily smiles. "Me too mom." Lily looks out the window and sees a wolf running along the road. "Do you think that wolf is one of us?"
Leon looks over and shrugs. "It's possible, but these parts are known for regular wolves, apparently Colin has found quite a few in his pack and they've stuck around."
" Really!?" Lily starts becoming excited, thinking that maybe she'll be able to go near a wild wolf in their form.
" Well, they are like...cousins, but you must be careful around them, they can be skiddish and dangerous, we don't want you getting hurt." Lily's mom said, pausing when thinking if she had the right term.
James looks up from his tablet and looks at Lily. "If you see one will you take me to see it?"
Lily smiles and puts her arm around James. "I dunno your kinda small James the wolf might mistake you for a toy and want to PLAY!" she says, going in for a tickle.
"Lily s...s...stop!" James says, laughing.
Lily stops and looks back out the window. "It sure is beautiful up here."
" Maybe one day you'll be Luna up here to a very handsome Alpha you've grown up with." Lianna says with a small smile on her face, knowing her daughter has had a crush on Liam since they were small.
Lily's face immediately turns red as she blushes. "Mom, don't kid yourself. Liam is 18 tomorrow. I'll only be 16 in a couple of days, he's not going to wait for a kid to grow up."
Leon starts laughing. "Lily, I am 5 years older than your mom. Once your wolf smells your mate, there is no one else you would rather be with and time is nothing of concern."
Lily looks at her parents. "Will he know when he gets his wolf who his mate is?"
Leon looks in the rearview mirror. "Wolves smell other wolves. If it you, Liam won't know until you get your wolf or another female is his mate, his wolf might become protective of you because of yours and Liam's friendship, and there's legends and myths of some wolves feeling a pull towards their mate before their wolf comes to them."
Lily nods and looks out the window.
" Can we stop talking about mushy stuff?" James says, sticking his tongue out, clearly grossed out.
Leon laughs. "Yes we can because we're here." Leon pulls up to some gates and waits for them to open before driving through.
Lily could barely sit in her seat taking in the view of the lake beside the pack house and the forest surrounding the pack with houses all around. "It's so beautiful."
Lianna smiles and steps out of the car when Leon parks and opens the door for Lianna and then for Lily.
"Lianna! Leon! You made it! drive went well, I imagine?" Colin says, coming down the pack steps.
Leon opens James' door and walks over to Colin, giving him a side hug and pat on the back. "Of course, I have to say this is some place you've picked out."
Colin laughs and nods. "Yes, it's quite beautiful. Now where's my beautiful goddaughter and handsome godson?"
Lily walks up to Colin tentatively, since she's wearing make-up and a dress that hugs her curves and upper body, it also flows nicely and loose waist down. Puberty also blossomed her chest area as she was no longer flat and actually had bigger breasts. she was nervous that she was going to stand out since her body had made so many changes.
"haha! Lily, you have blossomed into such a beautiful young lady! Look at you! Just like your mom when she was your age." Colin pulls her into a big hug.
Lily hugs him back, smiling that he didn't pick on her for wearing a dress and her new looks. "Oh, uncle Colin, I've missed you and Aunty Carol."
Colin chuckles. "Don't forget my dufus of a son Liam."
" Hey! Don't leave me out! I've changed to!" James says, storming over and gets up to Colin with a serious look on his face.
"Woah ho look at you, you've definitely grown, you might beat me in an arm wrestle!" Colin says, lifting James up and rubbing his head, messing up his hair.
"I'm going to visit Carol Colin." lianna says, wanting to get to her best friend since she hasn't seen her in awhile.
Colin nods "she's in our room, she's become bedridden, she moves around our floor but that's it."
Lianna nods and walks into the pack house.
"And you," he says, looking at Lily. "Liam should be in the gym with Bryan."
Lily nods, not sure where the gym is, and looks around not sure where to start walking.
Colin notices she's not sure where it is and puts his hand on her back, leading them into the pack house and points to a hall to the left. "At the very end of that hall you'll find the goofballs."
Lily nods. "Thank you uncle Colin." Lily waves goodbye to her family and walks down the hall taking in the beauty of the place.
Colin's pack house was bigger than the one that her father took over and this one made her feel like she was in a castle. The floors were marble slabs and the walls were brick with beautiful lights that looked like torches.
Lily made it to the end of the hall and stopped when she notices the door was partially open. OK, Lily you can do this. Liam has been your best friend since you were a baby. She tells herself, then she hears Liam laugh and walks in to see him shoot a basketball at the net but misses and hits the board, sending the ball passed them. Lily catches it quickly and the boys turn to look for the ball and notice her holding it. Lily takes in Liam's appearance. She notices that Liam is now a lot taller, at least a foot taller than her, who is 5'3. His black hair still ruffled and messy, but suiting him, he still has that goofy smile she's grown to love.
" Man, who is that?" Bryan whispers to Liam.
Liam shrugs quickly and looks back at the girl standing infront of them, taking in her body and dress that fit her perfectly, showing off her curves, then to her face with her long blackish blue hair perfectly curled bringing out her bright blue eyes.
" You've always had bad aim, Liam." Lily says, giggling, walking over to them and throwing the ball at the net and actually getting it in the net. Lily looks at Bryan, noticing the changes in him as he let his ginger hair grow out a little and he became tall, only a little shorter than Liam. His fair skin, his face still covered in freckles.
Liam looks at her a little confused. "L..Lily?"
"wait, our friend from Shadow Moon? no way that's her Lily never wore dresses, dumbass" Bryan says to Liam.
Lily chuckles. "Yes it's me, and yes you dorks, I now wear dresses, but I could still kick your butts any day in a dress."
Liam smiles and hugs her not wanting to let go since its been so long. He even enjoys the fragrance coming off her, wondering if its perfume or just her. "It's been a really long time. we were just texting an hour ago, you didn't want to inform me you were coming."
Lily pulls away from Liam and hugs Bryan quickly, and looks back at Liam. "Your father and my father swore me to secrecy, sorry."
Bryan laughs. "Good old pop is always full of surprises. How long are you going to stay here?"
"Dad said we were staying for two weeks so we can celebrate my birthday here as well."
Liam is still bewildered by how Lily looks, smiles when she says two weeks. "That's awesome. It's been a really long time."
Lily nods "Are you guys going to show me around? This place is huge and so beautiful."
" Oh Liam can do that, I have to go shower and go to the store quickly to pick some stuff up. You two have fun, just not to much without me. I don't want to miss anything." Bryan says, and walks out of the gym chuckling.
Liam looks at Lily. "Alright, come on." he grabs her hand to pull her with him and walks out of the gym.
Liam takes her through the main floor, showing her the library which she ends up falling in love with, as there's so many books and a fireplace with couches around it, the windows have seats that you can sit on to read and there's desks with comfy chairs, Liam was forced to drag her out because she didn't want to leave it, he shows her the dining hall and kitchen, which were equally massive and Colin had bought all new appliances. he then shows her the way to the gamma level and beta level where Bryan and his family live since bryan's father is the beta to Liams father, then takes her up to the alpha quarters.
Lily walks into the alpha quarters and is amazed. "it's like a whole house in here you even have stairs to a loft!"
Liam shrugs. "it's ok."
Lily looks at him bewildered. "it's amazing." she turns around and walks through finding an open concept kitchen and dining room, a living room with a few couches and a big screen tv and theres a wall that's entirely windows with a view of the lake. Lily stands infront of the window and smiles. "I could look at this view every day and never get tired of it."
Liam standing a few feet behind her, watching her look out the window replies. "me too."
Lily turns and looks at him. "where's your room and where am I sleeping?"
Liam laughs, "come on." he takes her hand and brings her up the stairs, opens the door and shows a huge loft with a bathroom there's a bed to the side of the room across from a huge window that's basically a wall. Lily walks in and jumps onto the bed and sits down in total awe. "I'm assuming this is your room because of the pictures on the wall." she says looking at pictures of Liam with his parents, Liam with her parents and a couple of Liam and her, as well as liam and his best friend bryan.
Liam nods and sits beside her. "yup all mine." he looks over at her. "the couch pulls out into a really comfy bed, you can stay here or you can have the room downstairs."
Lily looks at him with a smile. "we'd never sleep. Your mom and dad used to have to come in and tell us to settle down and be quiet a hundred times."
"Well, if someone wasn't so loud when they won playing video games,"
Lily laughs. "Beating you was always easy, I'm convinced you were letting me win."
Lily stands up and walks over to the window, realizing it's a door and there's a balcony, so she opens it and walks outside, looking up at the moon and stars. "Goddess, this place is beautiful."
Leon knocks and opens the door and looks at Lily, then to Liam, who is still sitting on the bed. he walks over quietly. Liam stands up, and Leon gives him a hug. "I'm assuming my daughter is awestruck,"
Liam chuckles and nods. "Yes, she is."
"Where is she sleeping?"
Liam scratches the back of his neck and looks at him. "I offered her in here, or she can take the room downstairs."
Leon looks at Liam, thinking for a moment as to what he should do. "ok.....no funny business. pants on young man. "
Liam looks at him with a serious face. "Sir, I respect you, and I respect her, I promise to stay in my pants. the couch opens up to a bed as well."
Leon looks at Liam secretly smiling on the inside because he knows his friend raised his son to be a gentleman. "ok. Lily! I'm heading down to bed. I came to say good night. your mom and brother are already sleeping."
Lily looks over and comes back in. "Good night, dad."
Leon nods, " i brought your bags theyre by the door" he gives her a kiss on the forehead , hugs her, and walks out.
Lily looks over at Liam, who looks a little nervous. "You ok?"
Liam looks at her and smiles. "yea, your dad just told me to keep my pants on."
Lily's face turns a bright red. "Oh my goddess."
Liam laughs at her reaction. "Come on, let's get ready for bed." he walks into his closet and looks for some pajama pants or something to wear.
Lily goes through her bag and finds some pajama shorts and a tank top and walks into his bathroom to get changed, she changes her clothes quickly and stands in the mirror and realizes her pajama shorts are really short. "crap." she scratches her head, wondering if she should put pants on but realizes she wouldn't be able to sleep with them as shed be too hot, so she takes a deep breath and walks out.
Liam comes out of his closet in some pajama pants with no shirt and looks over at lily whose wearing a tank top and shorts that are really short. s**t. he says to himself.
Lily looks at Liam and notices his chiseled chest and blushes. She didnt realize that Liam's gotten a bit of a bigger build now. crap, he has to be working out alot, god look at those abs. Lily bites her lip and walks towards the couch.
Liam walks towards his bed. "so um if you get scared you can climb into my bed I'll protect you still" he lets out a little chuckle remembering she used to be scared of the dark and he would hold her to sleep.
"You're such a dork. I've grown up a lot. I'm not scared of the dark anymore."
Liam climbs into his bed and lets out a chuckle. "I've noticed."
Lily pulls the couch out to a bed and climbs into it under the covers. first, sleep over, and we haven't shared a bed. damn it, he's really good looking this is going to be a hard two weeks. she sighs quietly and closes her eyes.
Liam laying in his bed, staring at the ceiling, sighs in relaxation. she's beautiful, she's always been beautiful but it's different now. he looks in the direction of the couch, wondering if she's fallen asleep yet. two weeks Liam. I can do this. we're just friends.
