Chapter 5

Last night was absolutely amazing. Liam, or should i say Blake and I stayed at the lake and waterfall for awhile just enjoying the beauty of the area. We came back to find everyone had left, when i had checked the time it was after 2 am, so Liam and I quickly headed back to the pack house to go to bed.

-Lilys pov-

My dad walks into the bedroom the next day around 11 am to find us both still passed out after last nights adventures and clears his throat waking me right up and sitting up quickly on the couch bed. "mm what time is it?" I rub my eyes and hear Liam let out a growl.

My dad laughs. "its 11 what time did you guys get back?"

Liam sits up quietly in his bed and looks at my dad then me. "I think it was around 2 sir"

dad laughs and nods. " how are you feeling are you in any pain?"

I decide while dad and Liam are talking I sneak into the bathroom to grab a quick shower.

-Leon-

"I actually feel better than ever sir." Liam says to me.

I walk over and sit on the end of the bed noticing Lily left the room for the shower. "I assume you know that we all believe lily is your mate, did Blake say anything."

Liam scratches his neck looking at me a little nervous. "he just said he wanted to keep her safe, told me he couldn't tell me until she gets her wolf."

I nod quietly, and look over when Lily walks out of the bathroom dressed and brushing her hair. "ok well Lianna and I as well as james and your dad are going out, Lily's birthday is in a couple days so were going to get a couple things.

-Lily-

"ok dad, I'm going to the lake to finish Liam's birthday present" I give him a kiss on the cheek smile at Liam and walk out with my dad and grab my art stuff and head to the lake.

I sit down and set up my easel and paints and start painting quietly.

two hours later I finish painting, I stand up and look from a small distance to see the full picture to see if I'm missing anything and then add a couple more spots to it. once I finish I lay back on the grass and give a sigh of relief finally finishing it.

I hope he likes it.

Suddenly I'm being attacked with licks and look over to see the wolf pup I fed yesturday and laugh. "hey little guy."

the pup jumps on me and I sit up to see the momma wolf staring at me sitting down by my painting. "oh look at both of you, you came back to see me!" I pet the mom wolf who nudges me in the face with her nose and let's her tail wag. she's absolutely beautiful grey with specks of black and the pup looking like her but with darker grey and both striking blue eyes.

"I didn't bring food out with me this time but let me text the baffoon and see if he'll bring some meats out"

I pull out my phone and go to my messages with him I quickly text can you bring me some chicken please I'm by the lake and smile when he says sure. I go back to petting the wolves happily forgetting that I finished his birthday present and it's out clear for him to see.

"I'd ask why you need chicken but I can clearly see you made some friends." Liam says sitting by me and putting the container down for the wolves.

"thank you. I was ambushed while laying on the grass by this little guy." I pet the pup smiling.

"they've taken a liking to you." Liam says smiling.

"well we're wolves right it's only natural."

Liam looks up at sees the painting. "hey that looks like me."

"oh!" I blush and look at him. "it's your birthday present, I decided to paint you and Blake as your present. I hope you like it, but that's why I needed the extra day."

-liam-

I grab the painting and take a closer look.

she really did a good job eh Blake? she Captured both our eyes they're striking in this.

yes, she did, she's talented, I like her. Blake says giving little purrs in Liam's mind.

me too.

"Lily this is amazing thank you I love it" I put it back and pull her into a hug taking in her scent of vanilla and citrus.

"I'm so happy you like it Liam, I didn't know what else to get you, you have everything." she says looking up at me.

damn her blue eyes.

"I'm going to hang it in my room." I stand up and pick up the painting.

"ok I think I'm going to go see about sparring with Bryan" lily says standing up I nod and walk back to the pack house while she runs to the training grounds.

can't you just tell me if she's my mate.

no, she doesn't have her wolf we won't know until she does besides she might not be. Blake cuts off the link.

I sigh quietly and look at the painting. this was really thoughtful. I walk into my room and look around for the perfect place to hang it up.

-lily-

I find Bryan fighting a dummy and run up to him. "hey wanna spar with me it's been a long time?"

Bryan looks at me and laughs. "you want to get your butt kicked, ok but don't cry."

"likewise Bryan when you get beat by a girl, dont cry." we walk away from the dummies and start fighting. I Dodge a bunch of punches and get some punches in his side a couple of times.

we spar for a good hour and end with me pinning him to the ground.

"damn it Andrews when did you get so strong." he says laughing under my pin.

"well when you live in a pack with no one your age the only thing to do is fight the Warriors." I let out a laugh and get off letting him up and sit on the floor wiping the sweat off my forehead.

"there's no one your age there for you to hang out with?" he says quietly.

I shake my head no. "the only other child in the pack is James. it's not intentional the pack just hasn't had luck with people having children it's mostly men and older wolves. I go to a human school. so I see people my age but it's humans so you and Liam are the only two 'true' friends I have"

"that sucks. honestly it must get boring." he says feeling bad for lily.

I shrug and stand up. "it's life I'm going to go get a shower and then have something to eat and maybe watch a movie, have a good night Bryan."

"yea you too lily!"

I walk out of the training grounds and head to the pack house I see misty whose looking at me angrily and shrug her off walking in and running up the steps.

I get into the alpha quarters and go to Liam's room.

"hey" Liam says sitting on the couch playing a game.

"hey I'm going to get a shower. I kicked Bryan's ass." I chuckle and walk into the bathroom with my clothes.

the hot water feels absolutely amazing I wash my body of all the sweat and dirt. I get out and put some shorts that are probably to short and a tank top and tie up my hair I walk out and lay on the couch bed beside Liam whose gaming.

Liam pauses his game and looks at me.

"movie" we both say in unison which makes us laugh.

Liam puts on a scary movie since it's what we both like and grabs some pillows to add to the bed for him we sit beside eachother watching the movie.

A jump scare moment comes and I jump grabbing Liam's arm which makes him laugh.

"not funny." I stick my tongue out at him.

we continue watching the movie and I lean my head against him a little tired.

-Liam-

I look down at lily who yawns and smile. I decide to move my arm so her head lays on my chest and put my hand on her side as we lay and watch the movie.

I yawn myself and we both accidently dose off falling asleep cuddling one another.

-Lily-

I'm walking through a garden and look around not sure of where I am.

"well it's definitely beautiful here." I keep walking looking for someone, anyone but don't see anyone. I find a fountain that has symbols of the four elements and the top of it where water is coming out from is a moon with water coming out underneath it making it look like it's sitting on water.

I look around wondering where I am.

"Lily Andrews" a woman's voice echos through the area.

I turn and see a beautiful woman walking towards me but I don't know who she is, I can feel love radiating off her and warmth.

"yes thats me, but I don't know who you are."

"I am the mother of all wolves, you all call me the Moon goddess." she says

"oh goddess" I immediately bow and blush in embarrassment of not knowing who she is.

"do not bow for me child, I'm here to grant you a gift." she walks up to me and lifts my head to look at her.

I stand straight with a confused look on my face. "why?"

"because your special, there's certain events that will happen to you and you will need extra strength, also your wolf that you'll meet at 18 needs you to be able to control these gifts before she comes."

I look at her a little confused. "am I dreaming"

the Moon goddess laughs and it's so beautiful I can't help but stare at her in awe. "yes you are but that doesn't make this any less real."

"ok what gifts are you giving me goddess."

she places her hand over my head and i immediately feel a wave of heat then cold, as of someone poured ice all over me. I close my eyes tightly as I feel a little pain.

the goddess removes her hand and my dream goes black.

-Liam-

I wake up feeling lily toss and hold her close figuring shes having a nightmare. "shhhh lily it's ok"

All of a sudden I feel her heat up to a really hot temperature and then the temperature drops just as quickly and shes freezing cold. I watch her face scrunch in pain. "Lily wake up." i say a little loudly but she doesn't wake up, her face softens and looks like she goes back to sleeping normally.

i keep her close and feel her temperature go back to normal i continue holding her close praying to the goddess that she's alright.

"mmm" lily moves her hand and puts it on my chest, she opens her eyes and looks right into mine. "l...Liam?"

I nod quietly. "we fell asleep, it's still night but you were tossing so I pulled you close to me and then your body went really hot like burning hot then ice cold."

she looks at me with worry on her face. "I was dreaming. I was in a garden and I couldn't find anyone and then I found a fountain with a moon and the four elements....." she trails off.

I keep looking at her completely worried.

"then a woman said my name, she said she was the moon goddess and she had a gift for me because I would need extra strength for what's to come." she takes a deep breath and buries her head into my bare chest I keep my hold on her trying to calm both of us down.

I hear her breathing calm down, realizing she must've fallen back asleep, i grab my phone with one hand and send her father a text still holding onto her. "hey something happened to lily I woke up to her tossing and turning and then her temperature went from burning hot to ice cold then normal and then it looked like she was in pain, she woke up and told me the goddess spoke to her in a dream saying she was giving her some gifts. she fell back asleep in my arms after calming down"

my phone buzzes pretty quickly and I look to see a msg from Leon. "let her sleep, go back to sleep yourself we will look into it while you two are sleeping. if anything changes again let me know."

I send him a quick text saying ok and get in a more comfortable position carefully so I don't wake her up.

I look down at her, taking in her scent and staring at her features.

she's a strong little one. Blake says through mind link.

blake she has to be my mate. All I've ever wanted was to keep her safe, she's my best friend, I love her.

youll know in two years Liam.

I'm in love with her now.

I close my eyes and fall asleep quietly.

-Lily-

A few hours later I wake up take a small breath I look down at what my head's laying on and immediately blush when I realize my head is on Liam's bare chest.

"good morning"

I jump and some ice flies from my hand up at the ceiling which makes me cover my head.

"Lily! you just threw ice at the ceiling" Liam exclaims.

"I'm sorry I don't know what happened you scared me" I sit up and look at the ceiling that's covered in ice above us.

"well I'm glad it was the ceiling and not me" Liam says and stands up. "well I guess that's one hint to your gift."

I rub my head and furrow my brows. "this is going to be interesting. you made me jump and I froze your ceiling Liam."

Liam grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room and downstairs with him. "we need to tell our parents."

As we walk into the kitchen my mom, dad and uncle Colin look up at us.

"everything alright?" my dad says sounding worried.

"Liam you could put a shirt on before coming out of your room." Colin says laughing.

"I uh" I look at Liam nervously and he nods at me. "I froze Liam's ceiling."

uncle Colin and my dad walk up to Liam's room and my mom opens her arms for me to hug her, which I do and don't let go laying my head on her shoulder.

"well that answers one thing. hunny do you know how you did that" my dad says coming back with uncle Colin.

"I said good morning which made her jump and ice shot from her hand." Liam says sitting down beside me and my mom.

"we need to contact Maggie and the others." my father says and walks to his room to get his phone.

I take a deep breath and grab a sweater and head for the door.

"where are you going?" my mom says worriedly

"im overwhelmed I need air." I walk out quickly and head down the stairs and outside I jog to the lake which I've found is a great place for me to relax.

I sit down when I get there and take a deep breath. this is insane. I look at the water quietly and cup my hands to splash my face with water which feels really good.

I stare at the water more intently. out of curiosity I put my hand out towards the water I think about creating a ball of water that floats above the water and am shocked when it does. "oh my goddess" I move my hand to see if the water would move and it does

"wow!" liam says behind me making me jump and send the water flying at him.

"oh my goddess! im so sorry" I look at him whose drenched and cover my mouth.

Liam laughs and walks over soaking wet and dripping. "well I guess I deserved that scaring you again."

I bury my head in my hands completely embarrassed.

"Lily it's fine." Liam pulls my hands away from my face. "it's just water."

I sigh and look at him my face intensely red. "this is insane."

"your dad is going to have the witches train you. you guys are leaving tomorrow."

"what?! were supposed to be staying for two weeks"

Liam chuckles and comes closer. "it's fine this is huge you need to train your power to control it. that way I can scare you again and not get soaked."

I push his shoulder and let out a laugh. "it's still not fair. we barely see eachother."

"turn around" Liam says quietly.

"what why?" I look at him furrowing my brows.

"because I'm going to get naked so I can change into Blake and we're going for a run back to that waterfall." Liam says turning me around.

I blush again and look down at my hands wondering what other powers will show up. I hear bones cracking and cover my mouth.

Blake nudges me with his snout holding his clothes in his mouth and gets in the position for me to climb on his back. I take his clothing from him and climb onto him, loving the feel of his fur under my hands.

Blake takes off running quickly and hopping over trees, through the forest.

once we get there I climb off quickly. "thank you Blake." I kiss his cheek and he licks mine back making me laugh I put his clothes down and turn around walking towards the lake I sit by the edge and put my feet in and stare at the waterfall.

Liam changes back and puts his boxers back on and shorts but leaves his shirt off and sits beside me.

I lay my head on his shoulder. "this place is beautiful."

"we should go for a swim this lake is a hot spring the water is nice." he slides into the lake and looks at me standing up the water coming a little above his waist.

I laugh and walk in. "ok" I go a little further than him but stop when he pulls on my hand and I turn to look at him.

"I haven't been fully honest with you about my feelings." he says looking at me.

"Liam, it's ok, I know I'm like a little sister to you, if you like misty you can tell me."

Liam looks at me and shakes his head. "f**k it" he puts his hand behind my neck and one on my waist, pulls me into him and kisses me.

Shock hits first but his lips feel nice against mine. I kiss him back and slowly wrap my arms around his neck one hand going into his hair.

it feels like fireworks going off as our lips moved together Liam pulling me closer to him and moving backwards till his back was against a rock and the water up to our chests.

I pull away for air and look into his eyes then pull him back into another passionate kiss enjoying the way his lips taste I part my lips and his tongue moves inside my mouth tasting all of my mouth. my other hand goes into his hair and I let out a soft moan.

Liam pulls away breathing heavily and lifts me up wrapping my legs around his waist and turns so my back is against the rock.

"your not like my little sister you never have been, I've wanted to do that for a really long time." he says putting his forehead against mine both of us breathing heavily.

I keep my hands entangled in his hair. "I've wanted this to happen for a really long time."

we both let out a laugh and look deeply into each other's eyes.

"I don't want you to leave but you need to to control your powers, when I see you again I want you to show me all you've learned."

I nod. "can we kiss again and forget that tomorrow we're going to say goodbye.

Liam doesn't waste a second and kisses me again pulling us into a deep passionate kiss.
