Chapter 7

Lily spent a little over a year training with Jenny, crystal and Maggie. she came to learn that it wasn't just water as an element she was gifted. she was gifted all the elements and quickly learned to control them all.

On Lily's 17th birthday Liam had mailed her birthday present and it was a beautiful gold necklace with the moon and stars. She was absolutely in love with it and has worn it everyday since.

They spent almost everyday texting one another and lily would send him videos of her harnessing the elements and showing him new tricks she learned. Every night they would normally fall asleep on the phone together.

they were definitely missing one another and were getting anxious as to when they would see eachother.

sitting in my office taking care of some business, when the phone rang it made me jump I silently laugh at myself and look at the phone to see Colin is the one calling I lean back in my chair. "hey what's up Colin"

"Carol has deteriorated, she can't get out of bed anymore. I don't think she'll make it much longer."

I take a deep breath and sigh, Carol has been Lianna's best friend since childhood she's going to be heartbroken. "do you need anything."

"I need lily to come take Liam's mind off his mother. it's depressing here and lily has always been one to lift everyones spirits especially his."

I nod. "I'll book a flight. can Liam pick her up from the airport?" I turn on my computer and see a flight for later this evening and book a ticket for lily.

"of course he can. you'd be proud of him Leon, hes a natural, he's gained more business for our company than I have in my entire reign, he's also found more packs and made them allies."

I let out a small laugh. "are you saying your son is already a better alpha than you without being an alpha."

"that's exactly what I'm saying, at this rate we'll have a bigger army than Edward from blood Moon within a couple of years and he can be stopped."

"that's amazing." I say looking at a photo of lily on my desk. "he needs to be stopped before he finds her."

I stand up and walk over to the window watching Lily use her powers to fight. "although I have no doubt she could take out armies single handedly these days" I watch her create ice spikes from the ground piercing some of our training dummies.

"she's honed her powers that much?"

"yea the witches have been working tirelessly on her training. she could use a break and reward of seeing Liam. I booked her flight she'll be there this evening. have Liam be at the airport for 8."

"thank you Leon I look forward to seeing her."

I hang up and walk out of my office. I find a couple omegas and ask them to go to Lily's room and pack a suitcase with everything she needs.

I walk out onto the grounds and sneak up on lily training grabbing a blade as I go. as soon as I get close to attack she already has an ice spike in her hand pointed at my throat.

"you shouldn't sneak up on me dad. especially during training."

I let out a laugh and look at my daughter who has absolutely blossomed, her black blue hair reaching her waist and her blue eyes that look like they could see into your soul.

"let's spar." I say holding the blade. "I want to see what you've learned."

"that's dangerous. I've learned alot."

me and my father spar for about an hour which ends in me pinning him to the ground my ice spike to his neck.

"you've officially just beat your father."

I get up and use my fire element to melt my ice spike. "you've been training me for years dad, you've never gone easy on me."

I smile when he hugs me and kisses my forehead. "go shower we have to go shortly."

"where?"

"your going on a trip." he says as he walks away from me. excited, I run inside and go for a quick shower. I grab a blue sundress and put it on after my shower.

after I finish getting ready I go look for my mother and father to find them outside by the car. "where am I going?"

"you'll find out when you get there." my father gets into the driver's seat laughing.

James gives me a hug and I smile at him. "keep training ok" I give my mom a hug and kiss and get into the car.

within an hour were at the airport and my dad hands me my ticket and bags. "have fun and behave." he kisses my forehead and pushes me in the direction of the gate.

I hand my ticket over to the lady and go through the gates wondering where my father's sending me. I pull my phone out and text Liam. "so I'm boarding a plane at the moment, dad won't tell me where I'm going."

"have a good flight." I smile when I see his msg and board the plane.

two hours later the plane has landed and I grab my luggage and walk through the gate wondering where I'm headed I find an escalator and look around the area of people waiting to see their loved ones, wondering who'd be there for me.

I spot her at the top of the escalator and my breaths blown away. in one year she's changed so much. her hairs longer she's a little taller her breasts are more full. she's absolutely radiant and I can't wait to touch her. it's been over a year since we've seen one another and when my dad said I was picking her up from the airport tonight I was ecstatic. I make my way through the crowd of people when I spot Liam.

once I get close to him I drop my luggage and jump into his arms happily wrapping my arms around his neck and legs around his waist. "Liam!"

Liam laughs and puts his hands on my cheeks his fingers in my hair line and crashes his lips onto mine.

Liam pulls away shortly after. "I've missed you. let's get home." he grabs my luggage in one hand and I stay attached to him with my legs wrapped around his waist.

we get to the car and I climb down surprised to see he's got a corvette. he puts my luggage in the trunk and opens the door for me to get into the car.

I oblige and get in, in complete awe never having been in such a nice car. he slides into the driver's seat and turns the car on. he immediately takes one of my hands and starts driving us back to the pack.

once we pull up to the pack house, I smile and get out happy to be back. Liam asks a couple of omegas to take my luggage to his room immediately. "are you hungry or anything."

"no, more tired it's been a long day." I intertwine my fingers in his hand. "I've officially beat my dad fighting today."

Liam smiles. "that's amazing come on let's go in." he leads me inside and up the stairs to the alpha quarters, we walk in and Colin is sitting at the table reading the paper.

I walk up and give him a hug. "I've missed you."

Colin lets out a chuckle. "my beautiful god daughter, I've missed you too."

I smile and look around noticing nothings changed and I love it. "I'm going to bed, I'll see you tomorrow uncle Colin." I walk to the stairs leading to Liam's loft and walk in happily.

Liam wraps his arms around me from behind. "your even more beautiful than when you left if that's even possible."

I turn around in his arms and look at him. "and your more handsome, but I think that shirt might burst from your muscles."

Liam gives me a smirk "you could rip it off." he shuts the door and locks it.

I take the blade from her hand and stare at it. "wow."

I watch Liam quietly. I point to the window and it blows open swirls of wind dancing around Liam.

"I was gifted all of the elements, with the help from Maggie crystal and Jenny I've learned how to control them as well as mold them."

Liam looks at me in disbelief.

"water is still my favorite. which is probably why I've struggled with fire."

"Lily that's phenomenal." he says and rubs his thumb on the blade to see how sharp it is.

"it was difficult. especially when I had to learn how to use them in defense and offense. I got hurt a lot." I let out a little chuckle and stand up forgetting I'm completely naked. "you can keep the blade, it won't melt. unless I make it"

Liam looks at me. "where are you going."

"to shower" I smile at him and walk into the bathroom and turn the water on I get in and let the water hit my hair and skin.

I feel Liam's arms wrap around my waist and pull me into him.

I look up at him and smile. "so are you", I kiss him quickly and we manage to shower together without having s*x.

she smiles weakly. "how has your training been."

I look at the window and do the same thing that I did in Liam's room having the wind blow the window open and gently flow through carols hair.

"oh lily." she smiles happily having not felt the wind in her hair in awhile. "this is truly amazing lily."

"thank you." I walk to the window holding my hand out and watch the window bring me a seed I walk back over to her and use my other hand and the elements to make the seed turn into a flower and grow in my hand infront of Carol, I hand it to her so she can smell a fresh flower.

she takes the flower from my hand and inhales it's scent. "the sisters have truly done a wonderful job training you."

"they have nothing left to teach me. I did what you asked and trained hard and quick so I could come back."

Carol smiles and kisses my forehead. "has anyone explained why you were rushed out here."

I shake my head no.

"I'm dieing, Liam has been a mess the last couple days we knew bringing you here would lift his spirits."

my mouth drops open, I knew she was sick but I never expected her to die anytime soon. "h...how long?"

"I won't make it to see if you truly are Liam's mate I will be gone before your 18th birthday."

tears brim and I try hard not to let them fall. "that's only two months away."

"oh hunny. it's ok it's a diagnosis I've accepted for the last few years."

I hug her. "I didn't know. I promise to do whatever to help Liam through this."

Carol grabs my face and looks at me. "you are in my view every bit of Liam's mate and have been ever since Liam seen you when you were a couple days old."

I smile and let my tears fall.

"I have already written two Luna letters for when Liam is alpha. one for the girl that's not you if unfortunately that happens and one for you. my daughter in law god child and best friend's daughter. thank you for coming to see me, go find Liam he's been waiting so long and patiently for you to arrive."

I nod and wipe my eyes give her a hug and walk out jumping when I see Liam standing in the hallway. "oh you scared me."

"sorry." he intertwines his fingers with mine.

I pull my hand away and wrap my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug and letting my tears fall. "you i***t, why didn't you say anything, I would have told my father to let me come here sooner."

Liam wraps his arms around my waist holding onto me tightly and buries his head in my neck. "you needed to learn how to use your powers. I wasn't going to intervene or complicate your day to day because my mom is dieing." Liams voice cracks.

"I've been your friend since birth, your family is like my family, you can't keep something like that from me you don't need to carry it on your own." I pull my head back and look at him in the eyes to see his eyes tearing up. "were dating and even if we weren't I would have come here whether my parents allowed me to or not." I put my hands on his cheeks so he can't look away from me. "your not alone."

Liam nods letting the tears fall from his eyes and pulls me back into him holding me tightly letting his emotions go and just crying silently into my shoulder and neck.

I let him cry holding him closely I put a hand in his hair and move my fingers in a circular motion.

Liam pulls away shortly after and wipes his face. "I haven't cried infront of anyone since I was a kid. I'm not weak like that."

I look at him sadly. "crying doesn't make you weak."

"I just cried infront of the girl that I love, one that I want to impress, I'm a man, I'm sorry."

I let out a light chuckle. "you crying into my shoulder and showing me that emotion makes me love you more." I pull his lips to mine and pull away shortly after smiling. "there's nothing to apologize for." i intertwine my fingers into his and walk out of the place with him. "let's go find Bryan or go to the lake"

Liam nods and we walk down the steps.

I see misty a distance away glaring at me and smile at her before walking out of the pack house.

Bryan comes running towards us and tackles the two of us. "lily! your here!"

I laugh and push him off.

Liam stands and helps me up.

"thank you."

Bryan looks at me. "I have been training this last year and I think I can beat you this time Lil."

this causes Liam to laugh. "she fought her dad before coming here and beat him Bryan. I think you might need to train a little harder."

I let out a chuckle. "how about this I'll fight you without my powers."

Bryan laughs. "deal."

"when she kicks your ass don't cry at me Bryan." Liam says laughing and wrapping an arm around my waist.

Bryan smirks and looks at Liam. "I'd like to see if she could beat you."

Liam looks down at me. "I'm willing to spar with you if you want."

"ok but I want to kick Bryan's butt before you beat mine." I let out a light laugh and we head to the training grounds.

Bryan and I get into our stance to spar. Both staring eachother down smiling.

"no powers lil." Bryan says laughing

"I don't need powers to kick your butt." I take my sweater off so I'm in a training bra for the fight.

Bryan and I spar and throw punches back and forth going full force.

Were going at it for almost an hour when Bryan throws a punch for my shoulder to which I duck out of I grab his arm and twist it behind his back pushing him to the ground and pinning him down.

"Damn it!" Bryan yells laughing.

Liam bursts out laughing seeing his best friend and future beta get beat by the girl he hopes would be his Luna.

I let go of Bryan and stand up Liam walking up to me and kissing me quickly. "good job."

Bryan stands and looks at Liam. "ok Liam your turn to get your butt beat by her."

Liam smirks. "Bryan just because she can beat you doesn't mean shell beat me." Liam gets into his stance causing me to get into mine.

Liam and I have only ever sparred a couple times and hes kicked my butt everytime.

our spar lasts about two hours, I had went to duck out of a hit but Liam's reflex was so fast that he grabbed me and pinned me to the ground holding my arms down by my sides and laying ontop of me.

"damn it" Bryan yells.

i let out a chuckle which is muffled by Liam kissing me, he pulls away shortly after and stands up while also helping me up.

"I told you Bryan just because she can kick your butt doesn't mean she can kick mine."

Bryan growls at Liam jokingly and tackles Liam to fight with him.

I squeal and run out of the way laughing and watch them fight I yank my sweater back on quickly not wanting to miss anything. Both of them take a couple steps back from one another and get undressed I cover my eyes laughing and when I peek both boys have changed into their wolves.

my eyes widen as I've never seen Bryan transform or seen two wolves battling.

I'm not surprised to see Bryan's wolf is reddish orange just like his hair. Bryan's wolf is nowhere near as large as Liam's though. Blake standing a good two feet taller than Bryan's.

Blake quickly pins Bryan's wolf Todd and looks over in my direction trotting over proudly and licks my cheek.

I burst out laughing and put my hands into his fur giving him good scratches behind the ears.

I stare at Blake's black fur and try to memorize every inch of him. Blake licks my face again hes thoroughly enjoying the scratches.

Bryan changes back and gets dressed quickly. "that's it I'm going to train double now. I swear one day I'll be able to beat you lil."

I let out a chuckle. "ok I look forward to it. now then I'm going to the lake to train my powers you boys have fun." I walk out of the training grounds and head to the lake.

once I get to the lake I stretch and look at the water. I take a step and feel the water freeze underneath my feet I keep walking hoping to get to the middle of the lake. once I reach the middle I sit down. the snow and ice doesn't bother me, wolves are naturally warmer but since I received my powers my elements keep me warm or cool depending on the season.

I put my legs into the water and use my fire element to keep my legs warm. I take a deep breath allowing the elements to stay by me and tune into them.
