Chapter 8

-lily-

I'm sitting in the livingroom a couple days later since sparring with the guys, it's probably around 6:30 in the evening I send an email to my teachers with some of my school work finished. Not only did I spend the last year and a bit training hard I also decided I wanted to try and graduate early. I smile when I get an email back from the principal saying congratulations that he would mail me my diploma. I squeal making Liam perk up and look at me.

"what's up lily?" he says smiling.

I throw my phone down and climb into his lap excited. "my principal just emailed me congratulating me on finishing highschool a semester early!"

"let's go celebrate then."

I tilt my head and look at him. "oh?"

Liam stands up and pulls me to my feet. he looks me over seeing I'm in a pretty dress with warm winter pantyhose. "alright your dressed up enough." he pulls me out of the place and into the garage opening the passenger door to his corvette.

"where are we going." I climb in and wait for him to get into the driver's seat.

Liam slides in and turns the car on he takes my hand in one of his and pulls out of the garage and out of the pack boarders.

"a restaurant to celebrate." he smiles at me quickly and then looks back at the road.

an hour later we pull into the parking lot of a high end restaurant and as I go to open my door once parked Liam beats me to it and holds his hand out to me.

i take his hand and we walk into the restaurant. Liam and I stop walking when we get to the waitresses podium to be seated. I look around in complete awe with how beautiful the restaurant was.the lights were dim making the room more relaxing. there were couches for people to sit on, and multiple fountains.

A waitress walks up to us. "good evening Mr. Night, will your parents be joining us this evening as well or is it just you and your date?"

Liam smiles at her. "good evening Kendra, no it'll be just me and my date Lily tonight."

I look between them curiously wondering why Liam's authority is radiating.

"oh wonderful, right this way Alpha." she leads us to a booth in the back of the restaurant and Liam lets me slide in first.

Kendra places the menus on the table and smiles at the both of us. "what drinks can I start both of you off with?"

"I'm driving tonight Kendra bring some sodas and water please. also we won't need these", he hands her the menus, "have chef pierre prepare us the best assortment. Lily prefers chicken."

she bows and walks away.

Liam wraps an arm around my waist pulling me close to him. I smile up at him and place my hand on his chest in awe of his alpha authority radiating off of him.

"this place is so beautiful, why are you treated so high class here?"

"I own this restaurant." he smiles looking down at me. "and WE'LL own it in two months."

my face immediately goes red and I look around taking in how elegant and beautiful this place is. "you own this?"

Liam nods. "I've gone above and beyond what my father expected since he started training me. I've procured 3 restaurants and expanded our allies. He wants to hand over the reigns."

I look at him in complete shock. "how many allies have you expanded with and 3 restaurants. we talked everyday why didn't you say anything."

Liam lets out a laugh. "Lily when we talked I was only interested in hearing how far you've come and all the progress you made, all this is what was expected of me." he says waving a hand around insinuating the restaurant.

"Liam that's amazing."

Liam smiles and puts one of his hands behind my neck pulling me in for a passionate kiss.

A couple minutes later we are interrupted by the cups being placed on the table.

"sorry sir I didn't mean to disturb you and your future Luna."

"kendra right?" I ask looking at her to which she nods. "are you from blue moon I've never seen you before?"

"no I'm from Silver Lake, our pack allied with Alpha Liam's, were only a small pack but we're grateful to have such a great leader."

"thank you Kendra." Liam says smiling.

"it's really great finally getting to meet you Luna."

I immediately blush. "oh, I'm not Luna, we don't know if we're mates yet I get my wolf in about two months."

"oh I'm sorry I just assumed, although if you ask me you two suit one another very nicely. I'll be back shortly with your food." kendra nods and walks away.

"Besides I know your my mate even if Blake is unsure and won't know till you get your wolf, and I know I want to make you blue moons Luna." Liams says pulling my legs over his and placing a hand on my thigh.

I look into his striking grey eyes knowing that Liam being my mate is all I've ever wanted.

a little bit later the food is delivered to our table and I can't believe how good it all looks at smells.

"if there's anything else you both need please let me know." she bows and walks away.

"you never said how many packs you've allied with." I look at him while taking a bite of the food.

Liam stops and thinks for a moment. "between 10 to 13. my father is determined for us to expand and quickly he mentioned a war."

I look at him and nod. "I've overheard our fathers conversations, something about an alpha Edward slaughtering packs that don't give up a woman he wants from them."

Liam nods, "it's why all the packs were moved north apparently."

"Liam, I want to fight when the time comes. I want to help."

"absolutely not, I need you to be safe or I won't be able to think straight."

"I'm a good fighter and even better with my powers."

Liam looks at me intently concern stricken across his face. "let me protect you."

I look at him quietly and nod. "ok"

the rest of the meal went quietly and before we knew it Liam was driving us back to the pack house.

I stared out the window looking at the views a little disappointed that Liam didn't want me to help in the war it was a very awkwardly silent drive as both of us were caught in our thoughts.

once we pull into the garage Liam gets out and opens the door for me.

"thank you."

"Lily I need to go to the office and sort out a few things, meet me in our room? we can watch a movie?"

I nod and walk into the pack house heading up to alpha quarters.

I walk into my office and sigh sitting down.

let her fight in the war, we don't even know when it will be she's stronger than your soon to be beta. Blake argues in my head.

she could get hurt, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I allowed her to fight and she got seriously injured. she may not be our mate right now but she's been someone I've loved forever and I'm falling in love with her Blake.

we won't let her get hurt, but she's right you i***t.

oh and if she's our mate are you going to say the same thing when the time comes. I smirk knowing full well what his response will be

Blake growls at me and shuts the link. I put my head in my hands and sigh. s**t what am I going to do.

I hear a knock at the door and without lifting my head I say come in.

Bryan walks in happily. "how was supper."

I growl at him making him laugh.

"aww how cute your in your first argument." Bryan sits down infront of me. "what are you arguing about."

"she wants to fight alongside us in the war. I told her absolutely not" I lift my head and look at him.

Bryan nods and pulls his phone out.

"what are you doing?"

"I'm going to show you something, I've been working on getting taken off the wolf net." he hands me his phone. "press play."

I c**k my head and look at the phone and press play. I see lily running up to 10, no 15, maybe more rogues with no back up. she uses her hands and thrusts them out infront of her causing spikes of ice to form and pierce some of the wolves through the throat. she then makes the earth crumble beneath some causing a pit to form and some fall. one of the wolves lunges at her from behind which she dodges then jumps on the rogues back a blade froms in her hand and she shoves it through the rogues throat.

"she kicks ass and she doesn't have a wolf." Bryan says seeing my expression.

"she never mentioned it." I look at him quietly. "send me that I want to talk to her about it and I should show my father."

Bryan nods. "I'm also already working on having it removed, but she's a good fighter Liam you probably offended her a little."

I nod and stand up I check my phone to see the video has come through already. "I'll see you tomorrow." I run out of my office and up the stairs, I get into the alpha quarters and look for her not finding her in my room or anywhere else, I'm about to walk passed my parents room when I hear her voice. I get closer to the door and realize she's reading to my mom.

when I had come upstairs I decided to go see aunt Carol. she was laying in her bed and looked sad so I had asked her what was wrong and she told me she couldn't read the words in her book anymore so I crawled into her bed took the book and started reading to her.

a couple chapters in she had placed her hand over the book to stop me so I look up at her.

"promise you'll take care of my Liam so he doesn't break apart."

"I will do everything I can as long as he lets me." I smile at her reassuringly.

"you two were made for one another, cherish eachother."

I nod.

"go to bed I'm sure Liam is back and waiting."

"are you sure auntie?"

"yes Colin is on his way back. go enjoy the rest of the night with Liam."

I give aunt Carol a hug and kiss and walk out of her room and head upstairs to Liam's room, I walk in and see him sitting on the bed staring at his phone with a grim look on his face.

he looks up at me and puts his phone down. "we should talk."

I nod slightly as I was really hoping not to talk about feeling offended, I walk over to the bed and sit down.

Liam hands me his phone and presses play on the video.

as I watch the video my eyes widen on shock. how is there a video I was sent there alone for this. I push the phone back into Liam's hands and look away a little ashamed of it.

"I know you are an amazing fighter and you are stronger than most of our warriors lily." he slides closer to me and moves my face to look at him.

"where did you get that video."

"Bryan found it. it was uploaded on the werewolf net he's been working on having it removed. why have you never said anything about what happened."

I stare into his grey eyes trying to see if he's ashamed at all. tears start to brim and I break eye contact. "I'm not proud I murdered those rogues."

"they breached borders. you took on at least 15 by yourself."

i start fidgeting with my fingers. "there was 23."

"what happened"

I let a tear fall. "I was training with Maggie when the boarder was breached. she told me that it would be a good opportunity to harness my powers so she sent me there."

When Liam realizes that I'm upset his proud smile turns to a look of concern. "Lily if you don't want to talk about it. we don't have too."

"no, no. we should. that moment was both a proud and depressing moment. That video shows that I killed them, with ease, what it doesn't show is me falling to the ground crying, then using my power of earth to have the body's buried and their decomposition to speed up so they could return to the earth." I look up at him. "I want to help in the war because I know that I'm strong I want to stand beside everyone and do my part to help."

Liam grabs me and pulls me onto his lap holding me tightly.

I bury my head into his neck and hold onto him.

"I don't want you there because I wouldn't be able to think straight, I would be concerned about you getting hurt." he says rubbing my back.

"and I want to be there to make sure my friends and family make it out ok."

Liam nods and slides backwards in the bed and pulls the covers over us laying down together.

I lay my head on his chest and put my hand on the other side of his chest and listen to his heartbeat quietly.

Liam plays with my hair quietly while watching me.

I close my eyes and just as I'm about to drift off to sleep I whisper. "I love you Liam."

-next day-

I wake up holding onto a pillow tightly while my head's laying on my pillow I look around to see if Liam's still in the room and I don't see him, so I sit up and stretch. mm what time is it.

I check my phone and see that it's just passed 8 so I decide to go for a nice hot shower.

I turn the water on in the bathroom and feel the water heating up so I undress and get into the shower enjoying the hot water beating on my skin.

I use my shampoo and lather my hair rinse it out, add my conditioner shave all the areas on my body needing it and rinse my conditioner out. not hearing someone walk into the bathroom and open the shower door.
