The next couple weeks went by smoothly. Liam and lily grew closer and every evening lily would go and sit with Liam's mom and read, alot of the time Liam showing up randomly and crawling into his mom's bed and laying in between lily and his mom making them both laugh.

Liam loved hearing his mom laugh, she was getting weaker and worse looking everyday, his father had to completely stop his alpha duties and have Liam step in for the time being so he could take care of his mate.

Carol was so happy that everyone wanted to be around her, and she loved that lily would come every single evening and read her favorite book. as they sat in bed together Carol couldn't help but admire the young woman sitting beside her reading.

Carol places a shaky hand over the page causing lily to look up at her. "is everything ok aunt Carol, do you need anything."

"n...no dear. I just wanted to tell you that I'm so proud of the woman you've grown up to be."

"no don't thank me. Lily your going to make an amazing Luna, don't let anyone stop you from what you need to do to protect your pack."

Lily nods her head quietly staring at Carol. "I want to say thank you for keeping Liam's spirits up during this time you know how to bring the best out of him you always have."

Lily puts the book down and hugs Carol, Carol has always been like a second mother to her, she was her mother's best friend since they were little girls and lily absolutely loved her.

Carol let's out a weak laugh. "I wish I could see your wolf."

"me too."

Carol pats Lily's back. "go find my son and tell him to stop working so hard."

Lily nods and let's out a laugh. "alright and I'll tell uncle Colin that your alone now."

Lily walks out of the room and out of the alphas quarters to head for Liam's office. she makes sure to send a text to Colin to let him know carols alone now. liam's been in his office alot lately since he's had to step in for his dad and lily enjoyed seeing him in full blown alpha mode.

she gets to the door and knocks, once she hears a come in she opens the door and is surprised to see a few alphas in his office.

"hey come here." Liam says waving for her to walk over to him.

Lily tentatively walks over and Liam pulls her down on his lap. Lily looks at the other alphas with a smile.

"Lily this is alpha Jack" he says pointing to a man that has slicked back blonde hair Hes muscular and probably in his early 40s with olive skin. "he runs Silver Lake."

"oh the pack kendra is in. Hi nice to meet you." Lily holds out her hand for jack to shake, which he obliges.

"good to meet you Lily." Jack says.

"this is Alpha Darius" he points to a man that has long hair brown hair and a long beard, he's probably in his early 30s with chocolate brown skin color. "he leads cloudy mountains pack."

Lily smiles and holds out her hand to shake his. "nice to meet you."

Alpha Darius takes Lily's hand and shakes it. "likewise."

"and this I'm not sure if you've met him before as he's also friends with our fathers is Alpha Tucker." he says pointing to the last man whose tall with ginger hair and freckles.

alpha Tucker smiles at lily and shakes her hand. "alpha Leon's daughter lily, the last time I was at shadow Moon was probably about 6 years ago."

Lily nods. "yes I remember you and dad sitting in the lounge drinking and laughing with mum and your mate Adriana, it's good to see you again."

"So Liam is this your mate?" alpha Darius says looking in between Liam and lily.

"we don't know yet I don't turn 18 until the 15th of April. were just dating."

Liam wraps his arms around Lily's waist. "we've been close forever I can't see anyone else being my mate."

All the Alphas chuckle causing Lily's face to go red.

Lily looks at Liam's desk and notices a map sprawled out with markers. there's X's over where certain packs lived and circles around others.

"the X's over some of the packs is that indicating packs that blood Moon has taken?"

All the Alphas in the room stiffen a little and lily feels the tension.

"sorry, I used to follow my father around and he taught me tactics and has told me about blood Moon."

The alphas nod cautiously and look at Liam.

Liam lets out a small sigh. "yes those are the packs that blood Moon obliterated. the ones with the circles around them are possible packs he may strike next."

I nod quietly realizing that he's taken over 15 packs down south.

Alpha Darius stands up. "well I think we've gone over everything anyways so I'm going to retire to my room for the night. it was wonderful meeting your potential mate, have a good night." he nods at me and walks out.

alpha Jack also stands up and bids us good night. alpha Tucker stands up gives me a hug and says goodnight to us both before leaving.

"well I sure know how to clear a room apparently." I look at Liam.

Liam turns me so I'm facing him on his lap. "they're not used to women being involved in war plans."

I furrow my brows at him. "promise me if I become your Luna you will keep me informed and in the loop about things like this."

"of course I will have no secrets with you and you can interrupt any meeting I'm in to join."

I smile and lean in and kiss him.

Liam holds me close to him putting one hand on the back of my neck with his fingers in my hair and has his other hand on my butt.

I turn to look at him. "good morning."

"I like waking up to you naked in my bed. I enjoyed sleeping like that too."

he sits up leaning his back against his head board and I smile and lean against him so he wraps an arm around my waist.

"your birthday is in a couple days, what do you want for it." I say looking up at him.

."now then I'm going for a shower." I stand up and jump off the bed, walking towards the shower.

Liam turns the shower on still holding me and walks into it even though the waters cold. "it's cold!"

A couple of hours later, I wake up and look around. I sit up and decide to have that shower that was interrupted.

I decide to text Bryan. "Hey do you want to train for a bit?"

"see you soon." I finish eating and take my dishes to the sink and clean them quickly. I hurry out and run out of the pack house and head towards the training grounds.

Bryan was already there waiting, once I see him I run up and tackle him.

I laugh and stand up and hold my hand out for him. "baby."

Bryan stands up. "So how are we training today?"

I smirk and hold my hands out, quickly conjuring up some frozen staffs. "with weapons." I throw a staff at him and back up.

Bryan jumps and fumbles the staff thinking it will be cold. "it's not cold!" he pulls the staff close to his eyes so he can see the intricate details etched into it. "Lily, this is beautiful." He runs his thumb over some of the details.

"water and air control the detailing." I shrug my shoulders and get into a stance to fight. "stop admiring it and fight."

Bryan laughs and goes to attack me head on which I block by raising my staff above my head and pushing against it so Bryan gets pushed back. He goes to swing at my side but i quickly block it and hit his opposite side and back up.

He lunges at me and tries hitting me a few more times but I block every one. I then go at him. He blocks a couple, but because of my speed and agility I end up getting quite a few in. bryan tries to swing the staff to hit me in the neck and I duck and use my staff to trip him. I stand over top of him and press my staff against his chest. "your dead."

Bryan laughs and hits my staff away. "damn you Andrews!"

I help Bryan up and we both jump when we hear clapping.

we turn and see Liam walking over towards us.

Liam walks up and kisses my forehead. "You're still trying, huh?"

" Dude, it's not even fair. She spends her afternoons at home training with the Warriors every day" Bryan whines and gives a little laugh.

"my dad always said that just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I shouldn't be any weaker than our top male. our top male is my father and i beat him before I came. the only person I've never been able to beat is Liam." I say and look up at Liam.

Liam chuckles. "Well, would you like to fight? I'll let you use your powers."

Bryan and my mouth drop. "Really!!!"

Liam nods. "I mean if it'll give you a fair chance, make me a staff please."

I quickly conjure a staff for Liam and hand it to him.

Liam walks to his spot and gets in his stance to fight. I grab my staff and get in my stance and we quickly start hitting with our staffs and blocking one another's attack.

Liam rushes at me and I quickly. freeze the ground underneath him to make him fall, but he slides and trips me. I use air to help me regain my balance and not let me fall and quickly turned to hit him as he was already standing and going for the lunge. He goes for an above head strike-down and I block him with my staff. I use wind as I push against him to knock him off balance and I quickly go to hit his legs with my staff to make him completely fall, but he manages to catch his balance just in time to jump over my staff.

We continue our advances and blocking eachother for a little while and I finally managed to pin him down for the first time ever.

"hmm my girlfriend just beat me." he says, laughing.

Bryan is over in the corner on the ground laughing, and I stand up, and instinctively wipe my face. When I go to wipe near my mouth I realize my nose is bleeding.

Liam looks at me and notices blood falling from my nose. "Lily, your nose."

I grab some tissue from my pocket and quickly put it to my nose. "I'm OK, I promise."

Liam rushes to me and picks me up.

"Liam I'm ok!"

"that Kleenex has alot of blood lily." Bryan says rushing over and handing me another one.

I put the other one to my nose and sigh. "I'm fine I should probably just go relax. I over used my powers. It's OK."

Liam nods. "We will see you later Bryan." he starts walking back to the pack house.

"Liam I can walk."

" No, I'll carry you. your hurt."

"I'm not hurt."

"your hurt, your bleeding." Liam walks into the pack house still carrying me and up the stairs.

I let out a chuckle because of how caring he is and just rest my head against his chest while holding the Kleenex to my nose.

Liam walks into the alpha quarters and sits me on the counter. he then heads to the freezer and grabs ice and some paper towels and walks back over to me and moves my hand to put the ice wrapped in paper towel up to my nose.

"I have to go back to work. I was just on break. Please stay here and relax."

I nod quickly and take the ice from him. "I'll go sit with your mom and cuddle."

Liam nods and kisses my forehead. "OK call if you need anything, OK."

"of course." I watch him walk out of the quarters and sigh, wishing he could stay with me instead.
