Aiden POV I have no idea how this could have happened. We offered help, but it was refused, but dad said when he spoke to Freddy on the phone, he sounded broken and lost. "It's awful. What can we do?" Mum asked, shocked, but I don't have words to suggest anything. "I hope they find her soon, I pray to Selene for Kylie and her pups safe return" Austin says to no one in particular but the gasps brings me out of my thoughts, "we haven't had time to chat since returning home because of the attack on Donna, but Kylie is pregnant," I say as dad holds mum, giving her comfort. "Oh goddess.. we need to do something, and we need to tell Alora," Mum took a deep breath and wiped her tears ready to support Alora, but we couldn't tell her. "How the hell are we going to tell her?" Austin growls out, but I'm sure the answer is we're not. "We can't. She can't know," I state, but my parents look offended that I would say such a thing, but my mind is made up. "Keeping it from her is unforgivable," Mum says, but I disagree. I did notice Austin was quiet. "We can't tell her, brother. She is carrying our pup, and the first thing she will want to do is leave in search of her." I can see my words are working, and I see his eyes harden."We can't. She needs to be safe here." He agrees with me, and mum looks furious at us. Dad says nothing, but he looks at us like we are stupid, but they are wrong. "HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK THAT KEEPING THIS FROM HER WILL HELP?" Mum shouts at us. It's very rare that she shouts at us, showing how angry she is. "We need to let them decide. She is their mate." dad says, but soons shuts his mouth with one look from mum. Lou and Carrie silently stood near the door, ready to escape at any minute. "She is our daughter and deserves to know," she says to my dad and then turns around to face us. "And I'm telling you all this is a mistake," she points at us. "Like dad said she is our mate and carrying our pup, it's our decision," I say, hoping mum will see reason, but she doesn't. "I really thought I'd brought you up better than this," she says quietly, but I know she is planning on telling her, but I forbid it. "We are protecting her, mum." Austin says, but we are not getting through to her. I've never seen mum this way. "This information stays between us six. Everyone keeps it to yourself, " I state, but I see the determination in my mum's eyes. "Mum," I say as everyone else nods their heads in agreement, but she is standing facing us down. "I refuse to lie. I refuse to keep her in the dark with something so important." I can see we are not winning. She is not backing down. "Mum, you will keep it to yourself, she can't know," Austin says, but still she shakes her head in defiance. 'Great news, Donna has healed and is awake.' we get linked from alora, and I try to hide the awful feeling in the is sat in the pit of my stomach. 'That's brilliant news, we will join you there shortly,' Austin replies 'No need, we are leaving Greyson and Donna to have some time together, we will come to the office, now we know she's safe, and help there, we really do need to find out who is behind this before anyone else gets hurt.' she explains, and so we agree, we don't have much time to sort this out before she gets here. "She's on her way, not a word," Austin says, looking around at everyone "Mum" he repeats, hoping she sees it our way, but no. "I'm sorry, mum, but this is our decision," I say, but she just shakes her head. "No, it is not. It's Aloras," she says, wiping her face ready for Alora entering the office. "YOU WILL ALL KEEP IT TO YOURSELVES, I FORBID FOR ANYONE TO TELL HER." I use my Alpha command, and I instantly feel bad looking at my parents. "I have no choice now, do I Alpha. I will tell you both that this is the biggest mistake of your life. She has had a lifetime already of people making decisions for her, and I want it known that I will not be doing this by choice as you have taken that away too." Mum looks heartbroken, but we need to keep Alora safe. "Sons, it would be better for you to tell her," dad says with disappointment, but they are obviously not listening. "NO, WE ARE NOT," I Alpha commanded, but it's my anger. "we're not doing what?" Alora asks as she walks in the door. "Sorry, we are just stressed. How's Donna?" Austin says, walking to her and kissing her head. "She is doing amazing." she says as happiness oozes from her as she hugs him back. I will never take her happiness away and watching her now. I know we have made the right decision. "We are going to see Donna now she's awake if you need us, link," mum said not so friendly, not looking at us at all, but she is pissed off and walks out with Carria, I see Alora move, probably wanting to go after mum. "I've missed you." Austin says, grabbing her attention. "Is your mum OK?" but none of us answer, "What is happening?" she asks again, separating herself from Austin, and I'm cursing because it would be easier to distract her if we have our hands on her. Sad I know, wanting to keep her distracted, but I'll do whatever I can at this point. "We are just tired, love," I say, hoping she will believe me, we are tired, so technically, it's not a lie. "We will go to our mates and see how Donna is while you catch up with what we have found," Dad says, giving Alora a squeeze on her shoulder, and they both leave. She does look confused. "What is it? What has happened?" she asks again with a little more force. She isn't going to drop it. 'What are we going to do?' Austin links me, but I'm just as lost. 'We need to tell her about the attack, get focused on that,' I reply, and he agrees. Before we can say anything, Alora speaks, but it makes no sense. "Is it a note? if it is, they are nothing." Notes, what notes? Holly has her head down and refuses to look at anyone. "What notes?" Austin asks first as confused as I am. "They are nothing. That's why I've not mentioned them." What has she been hiding? "What notes, Alora?" I ask, but she is reluctant. "We have important things to be doing than talking about insignificant notes. If it wasn't the notes, then what were you talking about? What are you not telling me?" f**k we need to focus on the notes and to be honest I'm intrigued. "This is important, now what notes?" I say, but she shakes my head. "You really want to talk about this, than the issues at hand?" she asks incredulous, but we both nod our heads in agreement, we do want to talk about anything other than what she wants to know. "Fine, I'll be back in a minute." She mutters in disbelief and leaves the office. "Do you know what the notes are?" Gage asks his mate who can't look at us in the face. Her head has been down since Alora mentioned the notes. "Yes," she answered but gave nothing but the one word. "Why was we not notified?" Austin asked, but she shrugged her shoulders slightly."I was following the instructions of my Luna," was her answer but gave nothing away. "What the hell were you thinking? do you know what is in the notes? You are the beta female and have a duty to our Alphas," Gage was disappointed in his mate and rightly so. Hiding things from your mate is unforgivable, and yes, I sound like a hypocritic, but we are keeping that from her for her safety. It's different. "I hope for your sake that the notes are nothing." I growl getting more and more pissed off. Holly flinched and kept her head down. Alora comes back into the office and looks straight at Holly, who in return gives Alora a smile. Alora switches her attention back to us. "And just so you know, both Holly and Donna were sworn to secrecy." She states while giving us her angry look. "She has a duty as the beta female to protect her Luna," Gage says, and he instantly enrages her."And what makes you think she hasn't?" She growls and moves beside Holly "Holly has the duty of not only protecting you but also reporting to our Alphas if there has been an issue, especially if it's targeted at you," he spoke confidently but kept his eyes down. "Well, that's a crock of s**t. Not only is Holly my friend, but she is a fierce warrior who stands beside me in any situation, if it was up to her she would be in front of me and would give her life for me and I would never doubt that but I would give my life for her also. She is my beta, and not just so she can tittattle back to my mates. How dare any of you doubt her. She is loyal, and I don't appreciate any of you saying any different." she ranted at us, and Gage understood the fury of his Luna, but I won't be giving up that easy. Gage had a point. "SHE IS THE BETA FEMALE AND SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD US ABOUT THE NOTES AS SOON AS THEY STARTED TO APPEAR." I shouted, and Holly shrank back even more, and that upset Alora more and added to that Austin nodded in agreement with me. "SO WHAT YOU BOTH ARE SAYING IS THAT I'M ONLY THE LUNA BY APPEARANCES?" she shouted back, fuming at us, but her words confused me. How the hell has she leapt to that? "No, of course not," I said softly and took a step towards her, but she stepped back. That hurt more than anything, I can't believe she would reject me like that. "Yes, that is what you mean. you want me to be obedient and not make decisions, but that isn't me, and you know it. I love you both, but I will not be spied on and made to feel like I can't even have friends to rely on because they need to give you reports.. come on, Holly, let's leave the big men to do manly jobs. " she rolled her eyes and threw the notes at us. They hit my chest and fell to the floor. With a slam of the door, she was gone. "What the f**k, that went side ways fast and now she is pissed at us." Austin huffed out. Gage is still stood shocked. "Fuck.." I groaned. we've angered the women in our lives, and we are going to have to try and fix it. Gage snapped out of his shock and picked up the notes from the floor. "Fuck.." was all he said as he was going through the papers. "What?" I asked as he passed the papers to me. ****notes**** She doesn't deserve to be Luna. She is a useless and worthless wolf who deserves to die. I'm pissed at whoever wrote this, but I'm also pussed that Alora has hidden them away from us. I now feel less guilty about keeping the news of Kylie from her because she has kept important information from us.
