Ami sit in front of the mirror in her wedding gown revealing her bust hugging her body down to her stomach, kate fixing her makeup brown eye

lashes her lips painted in red her hair resting on the back of her waist.

Austin comes in, I need a privacy with my daughter.

Josephena and Kate exit the room.

“Austin brings out a document",your mother willed all the properties

in your name and I promised her I will give it to you as a wedding gift, he place it on her leg.

Ami hug Austin,thanks dad for loving mum even after her death.

He pats her on the back, I will always love your mum, he stands up and leave.

Enest sit beside Austin as the wedding begins,they shake each others hand,Enest says,I hope this will be a happy union for our businesses.

Austin smile, “stands up from his sit”raised his glass of wine up, for a

greater future.

The guest raise their cup,"chorus" for a greater future.

Ami sit quietly sad and angry.

Emily and Kiana approach her, congratulation sister.

Kiana cut in, I hope this is the last time I see your face.

Moya get out on the 12th floor enter the room, he reports,Ami is officially Jim’s wife, why didn’t you stop the marriage?

He sits on the couch resting his back, I could have stopped it but she doesn’t want me to interfere in her matter.

“Moya sit down”, you’ve liked her for years but didn’t confess your feelings to her, and now she is taken by someone else,That’s what you get for acting decent.

“They heard a sound from the door”, sees Eve coming in with bags in her hand.

He ask, what are you doing here?.

I ran away from home.

Moya says,why did you ran away from home?

Because I don’t want to leave with dad anymore, I will be staying here from now on.

You can’t stay here, Moya get her out of here, Micheal instruct.

She holds onto him, if you drag me out of here I will tell everyone in school who you are.

He exclaim, you are threatening me.

Yes,Max is suspicious of your identity, I will go to him and tell him that you own the school and not a mere school president, he will get the news across to everyone in a jiffy.

Does mum know you are here?

I couldn’t get hold of her that why am here.

Take your bags inside but it temporary, once I get hold of mum I will send you back to her.

She went inside leaving her bags behind,she shouted from the room,bring my bags inside.

“Moya looks at Micheal”, do I have to?, am not her maid.

Micheal sit down staring at him.

Moya exclaim,”carry the bags into her room”.

Ami enter’s the mansion, the house painted gray chandleries hang at the center of the roof brightness coming from every corner of the room, Mr Collins welcome her, Mr Enest is in a meeting he will see you after he’s done.

Jim turns back enters his car and drove out of the compound.

Mr Collins leads her to her room, it on the third floor of the mansion, he opens the door of a room stands at the entrance, this will be your room, I will ask the maids to bring your bags, welcome to the family.

Ami steps in to the room neatly decorated, she opens the window staring at the moon, Mom I married him just as you wanted, tears dropped out of her eyes, she wiped it off with her hand, she looks at the tears and says, I miss Nanny.

Kiana and Emily sits on the balcony celebrating the departure of Ami, today is one of the best day have been waiting for,have finally gotten rid of that b***h, she took after her mother, I remember her whenever I look at Ami.

Mum you have nothing to worry about anymore, Ami is gone and gone forever.

What will you do about the properties?, you asked me to stay out of it but I saw Austin in the morning handing over the documents to her.

Emily freak out,throw the bottle of alcohol in her hand smashing on the

wall, why are you just telling me now?, you should have told me in the morning, I would have steal it before she left.

Kiana responds, but you asked me not to do anything.

Emily stands up and leave in anger.

The next morning Ami woke up shivering, Jim enters the room to find her sleeping on the floor,he bends down to check her, are you mad?

You slept on the floor through out the night, he got up and leave the room.

“Not long Mr Collins enter with a doctor”, he carry her from the floor put her on the bed cover her with a duvet, the doctor examine her and give her medication, “Collins walk out the doctor”.

He enters Enest study room, so what wrong with her?

She has come down with cold,she happens to sleep on the floor last night.

Enest smiles, how could she have slept on the floor?, that’s what the bed is for, wild girl.

Jim enters, where were you last night?, I didn’t provide comfort for you so you can have a leisure of your own,you have work to do so get on with it.

Jim barge into the room staring at her on the bed, I wish I can just strange her to death,”he spots her bags”,move close to it open the first one ransacking it move to the second one, it not in her bags, she is not foolish enough to put it here but where could she have kept it, he looks at her and exit the room.

It noon the sun shinning into the room, Ami woke up staring at the celling she look around the room but found no one except herself.

Jim comes in, you are awake, why did you sleep on the floor? Do you want to die? Before you die let me get what I want from you my life depends on it.

Ami kept staring at the celling, not given a damn.

I miss Ami, she hasn’t come to school after her marriage, Kate says.

Should we visit her, James suggest.

Ami sits on the balcony staring at the sun, her phone beep,”how are you dear? Have been trying to reach you call me when you get this message,(Nanny). She placed the phone back on the table.

A maid walks in, inform her that she has a guest, Ami stands up and follow her.

Good afternoon sister, oh or is it not a good afternoon to you?

what are you doing here? The last time we spoke you told me you don’t want to ever see me again.

Hey sis, don’t bluff yourself, I came to see what your miserable life has become. We will be graduating soon and dad has promised me a post in his company, it will be easy for me to take over the company from you.

Ami stands by the window watching the shooting stars, a maid comes in, Mr Enest asked you to join the family for dinner, she follows the maid down stairs, she joins them at the table.

Enest speaks, how are you feeling?

She reply, am all better now.

That’s good to hear don’t hesitate to come to me if you need anything.

Ami reply, yes sir.

A fat fair skinned woman wearing a wine short dress revealing her breast her nails painted in red her black hair resting on her left shoulder extends her hand to Ami, am Kenley Enest sister, it’s nice to have you in the family, Ami shakes her hand, thanks aunt.

Just call me Kenley aunt makes me look old.

Max enters walks to the table, mom you are old putting on makeup does not make you younger, he pulls a chair across Enest.

Ami surprised to see Max in the house, she keeps staring at him as he shove down his food.

Enest asked, what are you doing here?

Mom asked me to come back home, she pleaded that I had no choice than to return.

Enest looks at Kenley,I can’t allow him to be living on the streets, Kenley says pleading to Enest.

Max looks at Ami, welcome to hell.

Ami sits still glaring at him.

Collins and Jim joins them at the table, you are late,Enest says.

It took me a while to find him, Collins reply.

Enest looks at Jim, have told you not to leave the house without my consent.

Am sorry dad, I had to clear my head.

Max smirks, a dog acting like a owner.

“Jim glares at Max,”look at a kettle calling the pot black.

“Max stands up from his sit angry.”

Enest restrain him,” sit down back of you get out of my house.

Kenley pull him back to his sit”.

Ami sit in front of the mirror”, how can I be in the same family with Max?.

Jim enters the room go straight to the bed lay on his back and switch off the light.

Ami sit quietly in the dark not given a damn to his behavior towards her.

The next morning, Ami dress up pick her bag to leave the room, Jim pull her back inside, where do you think you are sneaking to this early in the morning.

I have to go to school.

You are not allow to go to any f*****g school, you don’t need it.

Ami snapped her hand off his, you don’t tell me what to do, it’s my last year in school, you can’t stop me, she opens the door and storms out.

Max stands outside the door resting his back on the wall, Ami shocked to see him, you had a fight? He ask.

Ami walks away from him, he follows her, want me to give you a ride to school?

I have my car.

Ami stands at the entrance of the class, Emily sights her and walks to her, are you embarrassed to enter the class?

Anitha saw her, calls the students attention,listen up everyone, let’s welcome Ami back, their applaud echo the whole building.

Ami goes to her desk pull out the chair and sits down, Kate and Josephena move close to her, Kate speaks, are you alright? We have been trying to get hold of you, Is anything the matter?

Am fine, she response.

Max enters the class and sits in front of Ralph, they start gisting and shouting, he looks in Ami’s direction, she looks away immediately.

Josephena ask, what’s going on?, is he bulling you again?

Mr Rico enters, he stands in front of the class places his books on the lectern, your final exam is drawing near, prepare yourselves very well or you will fail woefully.

At lunch, Ralph and Max sits on the chair in the cafeteria bullying a male student,they were laughing and shouting, Ralph jumps down from the table stops Anitha on her track, takes a bread from her plate stuffing it in his mouth, he laughs.

“Anitha disgust at him”, protrude, what the heck is that for?.

Emily stops her, lets just go, she looks at Max and walk away.

“Ralph and Max laughs”.

“James sits beside Kate”, where have you been? Josephena ask.

To inspect, he replies.

To inspect what, kate ask.

He brings out a nail from his pocket, I found this in the tire.

Ami looks confuse, what is this about?.

Someone wants to stop us from meeting you, James says.

Kate ask,who would do such a thing?, we didn’t inform anyone about us visiting Ami.

Josephena stands up from her sit, where are you going? James ask.

To Max and Ralph they are the only people who can do such a thing in this school.

“Ami pull her back to her sit”, do you have a proof that they did it?.

Josephena looks into her eyes”, are you scared of Max?, did he do something to you?.

Am not scared of him,Ami replies.

I know who did it, they turn to see a female student glaring at her back,

James fling from his sit to her, Eve,”they chorus” Eve.

who did it?, Kate ask in anger.

She points in Anitha’s direction, Kate angrily walks towards her, Josephena follows her, Kate place her hands on her waist, how dare you punctured my car tire yelling at her,”the students attention is directed towards them”.

Anitha livid anxiously speaks, what will I do with your useless car?, it wasn’t me.

James put the nail on the table, you recognize this?

Anitha protrude, it not a food that I have to recognize.

Enough of this nonsense, she wasn’t the one who punctured your useless tire, Emily defend her.

I saw you at the parking lot, mr Ric was also there, should I bring him to verify my claim against you?.

Emily move close to her raise her hand to slap Eve, stopped by Max by grabbing her hand, don’t you dare lay your hand on her or you will have me to deal with.

Emily looks dumbfounded, you are defending this b***h, she snapped her hand out of his hand.

You dare lay a finger on her, I will kill you.

Emily walks out of the cafeteria, Anitha follows her.

Josephena whisper to Kate”, did Max eat a rotten food?, Max is a son of a b***h, why will he defend Eve?.

James whisper back to her”, everyone can her your voice.

She looks up to see them staring at her”, she quietly leave their mist,

James run after her, wait up.

Kate grab Ami’s hand, lets go.
