"Kenan?" I repeated the foreign name, confused, and let go of Luke's throat, "I have never heard of him before?"
"No surprise there," Luke answered, rubbing his throat and licking the blood on his fingers.

"Who is this Kenan vampire," Nerina asked, "and why would he want me?"
I rushed to Nerina's side, hearing her voice, and pulled her into my arms from her seat, "Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" I asked, worried.
"No, I'm fine," she answered, giving me a reassuring smile.
She turned her face to Luke, and scrunched her nose, "you're a vampire?"
"Yes," Luke answered, bored, and nodded his head.
