What should have been a lazy happy day out had ended in one of paranoia.
Liam was on high alert the rest of the day and didn't let me out of his sight for even a minute.
It was annoying as hell, but we managed to do my shopping and returned home.
I let out a breath as we passed the tall trees toward the pack border.
The trip home was strained and quiet... Liam was worried, and I could understand why.
Kenan wouldn't be the easiest vampire to defeat, and with the pull I have towards him, it would certainly complicate things between us.
I was ashamed of my reaction and self-control towards Kenan in the beginning, and hoped that Liam wasn't capable of smelling my arousal... but after Luke explained how Kenan manipulated his victims, it all started to make sense...
