
Carmen is just a normal girl living a normal life. She takes care of her family and rarely has time for herself; that is until one day she decides that she’s had enough. She signs up for an internet dating site; knowing all the men in her small town were pretty much only attracted to her sister. After months of searching for mister right, she decides that maybe it’s just time to move; after all, she has a sister across the country who has a job lined up for her on a cruise line. But just before deleting the app, a man with no picture messages her, intriguing her. She figures what the hell and decides to give him a try.Salvador is in the Mexican Cartel, one of the oldest branches of it in fact. He basically grew up knowing the business in and out, his grandfather showing how to grow illegal plants in the mountains, to making connections with the other Cartel bosses. Which the death of his grandfather, the other Cartwl decide that they no longer want to play by the rules, so Salvador goes on the run and ends up in Chicago. One thing you need to do when you disappear with a target on your back is to blend in, and that includes finding a cover for yourself. He decides that there is no greater cover than an America girlfriend/possible wife; thus leads him to a dating app. After months of canvassing possible women he finds her, the perfect little cover. She’s from a small town, never dated before, and has no connections outside of her work and home life. In other words, she’s perfect. But when he starts to date her, he discovers she perfect in other ways as well.But his cover is blown by an old acquaintance, and the cartel does not like any loose ends, especially ones with deep roots and ties in Mexico.
