1853 Words
My past is hidden, my futures unclear, like slaves with hope, like master and fear, secrets will hurt the ones you love most dear Terrence's POV, "Have you been hit, are you ok" shouted Corey, as he slammed the door, and the car took off with a speed of urgency, "I'm fine Corey calm down" Terrence answered, with a bit of contempt in his voice, Clenching his fist, he was fuming relentlessly for he was getting tired of fleeing CUB events, for it was starting to seem like the norm for bad things to happen when ever the clan meets. But is true frustrations were with is father, Trimone's attitude towards the Revearas were puzzling to say the least and it worried him more than the sudden attack. Sitting in the back seat driving away from the CUB head quarters, with his father on his left and Corey on his right, while Yonkie his fathers body guard sat at the wheel, Yonkie, a heavy built man with dark hair and Asian eyes, but a German accent. Made his way through other cars as he head in the direction of their departure. " what the hell was that about" said Trimone fiddling with his jacket as if it's presence annoyed him "That, that back there is tradition father" he replied with a smirk on his face, trying to annoy his father out of the contempt he held for him " Tradition!, you think that was funny, that was an insult to everything we clandestine hold dear, and someone needs to pay for this slight" said Trimone with a serious look on his face " our attackers could care less about our values and customs, father, you see it as them slighting the clandestine and they saw it as a golden opportunity" " don't get smart with me Terrence, you can pull that deviant tone with your equals but remember i taught you such" " my aim was not to be deviant father, i was only pointing out that, we don't normally meet on this level as a clandestine so how did our enemies find out about today's tribunal and the fact that every member would be present more over they seem to understand our codes and guide, that is what most concerns me" " i think your thoughts should be else where rather than on in valuable question that do not matter now" snorted his father Deciding to let his fathers words be the last of their disagreement he couldn't help noticing how Corey and Yonkie kept their eyes on the road never looking at him and his father as they disagree or showed any inclination of wanting to but in, but being the person he was he knew there was more to this, but there was no hope are benefit in arguing with is father to try and see his point if he didn't want to. For without a doubt he knew that this Rennob that Cindy spoke of in the final mintues before their sudden departure was the truth, for she had to throw someone under the bus and it sure as hell was not Ryan. A part of him was disturbed knowing about Ryan and not telling Soraya but he had made a deal with Persephone better known as Cindy and he had to held up his end of the bargain, for now. Once they got to the air strip, Corey ushered him out of the car and on to the plane with his father close behind and has he sat in his seat fastening his belt for take off his thoughts swerved back to Soraya, was she ok, did she make it out of there. Soraya's POV, The drive to the De'luca estate was quicker than she could imagine, Ryan sat beside her in the car as she laid her head in her mothers lap, hating the pounding of her cranium all the while thanking them for the silence as the hooded female drove. Soraya wanted to get a better glimpse of the person but her body just did not care to remove itself from the warmth of her mother despite her curiosity. Pulling into the black tall gates that shield the estate from the outside world, Soraya noticed that security was at its highest and as she past men with rifles in expensive suites her brother and father came back to her. When the car pulled up to the front steps and Ryan got out, Raya didn't wait for his helping hand she lept from the car and dashed into the house in a fit of anxiousness with Lily-Ann close behind " Renzo!, Dad!, where are you" she shouted dashing around the house " stop!, slow down!" shouted Lily-ann to her daughter trying to catch up with her but Soraya hardly noticed or heard her mothers plea She was already half way up the stairs when her brothers voice drifted from the parlor and he emerged. She turn back down the stairs and toke the steps two at a time, throwing her self into her brothers arms, " Renzo are you ok" she asked checking every inch of him for wounds " am fine Raya, stop fussing" said Renzo with a wormy look on his face. "Are you sure you are ok" came lily-ann's voice from behind Soraya, she had forgotten that her mother was any where in the room so she step aside giving her a full view of her son. Lily-ann embraced Sorenzo with so much intensity, Raya could feel the love rolling off her mother for her kids. Once they regained their composure Lily-ann fixed her clothes and stood up straight " where is your father?" she asked Renzo, looking at him with contentment upon her cheeks " I think he is in the study or his office i'm not too sure" said Renzo " I'll check is office then" said Lily-Ann turning from them and walking out the parlor, when Soraya realized that her faith still hanged in the balance so she went after her mother Lily-ann had reach the middle of the steps when Soraya caught sight of her, " mother!" Lily-ann stop and look down at her, so she continued for she had her mothers attention " mother, we did not finish the tribunal so what happens now" " I'm afraid there is no guide for that my child" she said in a lonesome voice and continued up the stairs Soraya walked back into the parlor and sat down releasing a sigh she did not notice she was holding, for she hoped her mothers words weren't just a parable but the auvious truth. Looking up she realizes Renzo had placed him self on the love seat at the window staring out into the nothing with is feet up to his arms. A few silent minutes passed between them until Renzo broke it, " I think things are about to get worst Raya" he said, taken aback by her brothers sudden utterance Raya was not sure what to say for she also felt the foreboding of a hanging sword over their heads. " I think you are right Renzo, i think you are right" she said in a soft tone but Renzo did not hear because she had taken so long to answer, Renzo he had gone back to his stare out the window into nothingness but this time he had an expression on his face of a child longing for his father ti come home from war. Soraya decided not to bother him so she got up leaving her brother to his thoughts and head for her room upstairs. On her way to her room she had to walked pass her fathers office where she heard raised voices, which peaked her curiosity so she placed her ear to the door, " il est temp que nous nous en occupions" ( its about time we handled this) said a voice in french and Soraya knew it was the hooded female " ce n'est pas aussi simple" ( it's not that simple came her father voice. " tu sais que j'ai raison" ( you know i am right" said the female voice once more. " can we just calm down and think rational before we start planning anything" said Lily-Ann " fine, darling could you call Kross, we have much to discuss" said Mr De'luca Soraya rushed from the door and straight to her room closing her door with so much subtlety as her heart pounded. She walked over to her bed and sat down pulling her phone from her pocked. there was no calls or messages from Naomi, Travis or Terrence, but deep down she knew they were fine, but a message to confirm this would be much reassuring. Pulling off her coat and tossing it on the bed she moved to her dresser mirror and pulled the pins from her hair that held up her now messy bun, her red curls cascade down her shoulders falling like the mood of the day. Hugging herself as her mind began to drift back to the minutes of the tribunal Raya felt overwhelmed and confused for so much was said in the trial yet so little was answered. Liam's utterance about her grand uncle was not surprising but is knowledge of it was. How did he find out? She asked her self it wasn't hidden knowledge that one of the De'luca brothers had died, well it was a full secrets from her; but no one outside the family knew that Alandro was assassinated by the Red Ribbon. Pursing her lips Soraya thought hard, if Liam knew about this then he probable knew more than he was letting on. And his connection to Cindy was much more than Annabelle, who she now think was naive for she didn't see what was going on behind her own back. Finally discarding the rest of her smoke and dust filled clothes, Soraya pull a rob from her closet and slip the cotten white fabric over her skin. There was no need to go down for dinner, for food she wanted none, and company she care not for. Enjoying her peaceful isolation she moved to her room balcony for it was her place of calm. Has she lean on the balcony rails a suspicious sight caught her eyes, Ryan, near the eastern wall where he's trying to flatten him self out of sight behind a tree as it seem he's talking on the phone. Why would he be hiding while talking on the phone Raya asked her self could he be hiding something, shaking her head, no, Soraya said out loud hoping it helped to reassure her. For Ryan was the most honest and trustworthy person she knew maybe he has a girlfriend she thought but deep down her mental assureity was slipping. Her place of calm had only brought her more troubles, for now she was even doubting her own body guard without valid reason, retreating back into her bed room Soraya head for the bathroom in hope that a hot shower would calm her insecurities.
