~Meeting~
Elizabeth's POV
I've been thinking if the letter I've received a while ago is coming from my suitors? Or not? But I don't accept any gift from my suitors, because I don't want them to have hope that I will give them a chance. That letter making me confuse.
In just two rings of my phone, I already answer the call without looking at its caller ID.
"Hello?" Walang ganang bungad ko sa telepono.
I heard someone sigh in relive, "Hello Miss CEO. Good day, ma'am." One of my employees greet. "Good day too, what do you need?" Tanong ko sa empleyadong mula sa lobby.
"Ahm ma'am, I've received some document and letters from Mr. M that he wants to invest in your company and be your partner, also." Sagot nya. Who's that mysterious Mr. M? I just heard that right now. Bago yun.
Mr.M? May pangalan bang ganon?
"Sorry ma'am but we don't know yet." Paumanhin nya. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. Isa ka pa, Mr.M! Nakaka-stress kang Mr.M ka. "Okay, accept it. But bring the papers in my office so I can read it." Nasabi ko nalang. I don't have a choice. Hindi ko naman pwedeng indyanin nalang sya. Malay mo, big client pala ito.
"Okay ma'am wait a minute." Sabi nya so, I hang up and leaned closer to my swivel chair.
May narinig akong tatlong katok sa labas ng pinto bago ako nagsalita, "Come in," I commanded, then I saw the employee who assigned in receiving papers and investor's letter who called me a while ago. Dala dala nya na yung mga papeles, I'm sure.
Ngumiti sa akin ang babaeng tumawag kanina, "Good afternoon ma'am, this is the papers I've received earlier," She said as she handed me the papers. Envelope palang, it already looks presentable. Mukhang big client nga ito.
I smiled at her, "You may now go. Thank you." I opened the folder and start reading it after my employee leaves my office.
Nakakapagtaka. May pangalan bang Mr. M? Pang-ilang tanong ko na ba yon?
Dear Miss Elizabeth Myla Radford,
Good day, Miss Radford, the CEO of Elielard Company. I'm interested to invest in your company, I want you to become my partner. I know that you just heard my name but I promised you to give all my loyalty. At the back of this letter, you can see the partnership contract, I hope you'll sign it. Remirceirs ~ [thanks]
-Mr.M
That's the letter Written at the red-colored yet organized paper.
I turned the paper and I saw the contract. And according to the contract, if I will accept and sign the contract, there will be a meeting later. Hmm? Sign it or leave it?
"Tell Mr. M that the time of the meeting is 9 in the morning tomorrow because I can't go this afternoon." Utos ko sa kausap ko sa telepono. And yes. I signed the papers.
I signed the paper because I think he can help my company to remain the company in its position. And also, it's for my company's sake.
I need to take the risk kahit di pa ako sigurado dyan kay Mr.M.
"Ahm... Sorry but I think I can't go out with you guys. May biglaang meeting e."
"Ano? Bakit naman?" May himig ng kalungkutan nyang tanong. I'm really sorry to ease your happiness, Farra.
"May biglaang meeting nga."
"Lagi naman meeting e." Malungkot na namang sabi nya sa kabilang linya. Gosh! Nagi-guilty ako. nakaka-awa pa naman si Farra kapag malungkot. I sighed sadly, "Sorry talaga, babawi ako. Di ko alam kung kailan, basta babawi ako."
"Ok bye. Love you." Malungkot na paalam nya sa akin. I smiled sadly, "Same here, love you too. Sorry talaga."
"Miss, the board member is already completed. They're just waiting for you." Biglang singit ng secretary ko.
"Ok, I'm coming" I answered. I stand up and ready my things that needed in our meeting.
"Good afternoon Miss CEO." They greeted me as I entered the room, smile and nod is just my answer. I smile, "You may now sit" I commanded as I sat on the swivel chair in front of them.
"Ma'am the company sales are pulling down, we need to do something to prevent it from danger because we all know that when our sales still pulled down our company will be put in danger." One of the company members said. I just get a high sigh. Yeah, that's true. Bumaba and sales ng company ko. I don't know why and how.
I just sigh again, "I know and I'm still thinking how did it happen because a week ago our sales are on top," I answered.
"We don't know too," she said and the other members just nod and agreed at her, so it means that they don't know too. Nakakaloka! Nakakapagtaka ba naman kasi ang mga nangyayari.
Nasa gitna ako ng pag-iisip nang may magsalita, "Ma'am I have a suggestion."
"What is it? Don't hesitate to share your knowledge and opinion." Sabi ko habang nakangiti ng malapad.
She sighs bago ngumiti at nagsalita, "Our company already has a Dress shop, Parlor, Shoe Store, Grocery store and others right?" I just nod at her. Totoo yon. Marami na ang maipatayo ng company namin.
"Restaurant is missing to our business so I'm suggesting to you if we can build one, so our company sales will be higher than the usual," she suggested. Hmm, I think she's right because, in my whole life existence, building restaurant didn't come to my mind.
Ngumiti muna ako bago nagsalita, "It's okay with me. How about the others?" I asked. Sana naman ay pumayag sila.
"It's also okay with me, miss."
"Me too."
"Sure."
"It is fine."
"I think it's a good idea."
All of them agreed except for one which is the old man. Tss, my bad. Itong matandang ito. Ang sama na naman ng ugali ko... Don't blame me, blame my moodiness towards this old man.
Mahina muna akong tumukhim, "For you Mr. Kumdo. Is it okay with you?" I asked smiling.
"Ahm. Ye-yeah it's o-okay." Hmm... I really can't stop felling doubt to him while he's around, I can feel bad to him. His presence says it all!
"But, where are we going to hire some chef that ready to give their loyalty to us? A waiter? you know that here in the Philippines there's a chef but not a professional one." One of the members said.
"We can hire some professional chef from another country that graduated in an expensive school, I think." Someone suggested. He's right we need a professional chef to be our cooker in my restaurant.
Napangit ako bago nagsalitang muli, "He's right, but I prefer a waitress than the waiter and in cashier I prefer boys and in kitchen, I prefer boys and girls, I'm assigning to myself to hire some bodyguard," sabi ko habang nakangiti.
"Miss, let just us work for it. We know that you're still busy." Mr.Kumdo said, hay! That feeling again. Tsk!
"No, even if I'm the CEO, it's my obligation to help my employee and besides I'm not the type of person who'll just remain sitting and relaxing while waiting for some news. And even if I'm a busy person, I can still manage my time so don't you worry, I can handle myself." I said with a convincing tone.
"Okay, we understand you ma'am and we respect your decisions," they said. Good thing then.
"This meeting is adjourned, we'll just talk about this tomorrow, same time. Dismiss everyone." I announced to them so they stand up and leave the conference room.
