Chapter One - A New Chapter

Julie RavenWolf took refuge in a city called Bear, Arkansas in the United States which is close to the shore of Lake Quachita. Bear City is a forest where human resides along with many different types of supernatural beings like angels, witches, demons, spirits/ghosts, fairy’s, hybrids, werewolves, mermaids and more; including werebear. Werebear is the leader or pack of the city and they protect their city including all supernatural beings and humans who know about the supernatural. In order to live in such a city, one must request permission from the werebear main leader, also known as Alpha, to live in the city of Bear.

“Hello, my name is Julie RavenWolf seeking shelter in your city. I heard you’re in need of witches to join upon your permission that is. Is there room for me to join your community,” asked Julie while meeting the main leader of the werebear, also known as Alpha?

“What a Beauty. Yes, we do need witches to perform medical attention in our community. You are very welcome. My name is Alpha Roman Reed but you can call me Roman or Babe,” said Alpha Roman who was flirting with Julie.

“Thank you, Roman,” said Julie while blushing and giggling at his comment. She did too take a liking in Alpha Roman Reed. In fact, she fell in love with him too.

“Will you be my mate, Julie? You can live with me in my packhouse. I love to learn more about you, darling,” said Alpha Roman who was desperate to make Julie his mate.

“I would like that a lot, Roman. I do too want to learn more about you. I think I am in love,” said Julie.

“Love at first sight, huh? Well, same here,” said Alpha Roman while smiling at her and leaning closer to give Julie a kiss.

“You have such beautiful eyes,” said Julie before she passionately kissed Alpha Roman Reed when he reached for that kiss.

Julie RavenWolf did not have a hard time to request for permission to live in Bear, Arkansas. Alpha Roman Reed who is a werebear, took her in immediately knowing that she is a witch. The city needs witches who can help as a healer and that is what Julie is and she loved to help others. Alpha Roman Reed fell in love with Julie and made her his mate or you can also call it his wife.

Enjoying her new chapter in life, Julie got very comfortable living with the pack of werebears. They all respected her and sought her for medical attention. Julie loved helping others and enjoyed it every single day of her life. She found a new best friend where she can share her daily gossip and knowing that she’s a witch too made things easier for both of them to share their own magic spells and ideas.

The day when Julie found out she was pregnant she wasn’t sure who the father was. The timing was hard to tell because since the day she lost her virginity to King Frederick Windsor, three days later, Julie was mated to Alpha Roman Reed.

“Roman, I’m 3 weeks pregnant but there’s a problem. Remember when I told you about my past with the King, well, the child could be his,” said Julie.

“No worries, my darling. Whether it’s the Kings or mine, I will still treat the child as mine. Also, I knew you were pregnant when I first met you. It’s one of my special abilities as a werebear. Plus, the past is in the past and I will respect that. I love you, Julie, and I will not let any harm come towards you and the child. I am just glad I made you my mate,” said Alpha Roman.

Alpha Roman knew she was pregnant when he first met Julie. Werebears has a heightened sense of smell when it comes to detecting living beings and Alpha Roman Reed was able to pick off a smell of a new living being in Julie’s womb. Alpha Roman did not say one word about it because he was too busy flirting with Julie and getting to know her better. He didn’t care about what happened in her past. He wanted to open a new chapter of possibilities with Julie and be a good father for her child. He also respected her and the decisions she made in her life.

“Thank you, Roman, that really means a lot for me. You should have told me about it but I’m not mad. I do want children of our own. I have to tell my friend Carla about the news,” said Julie.

“I can’t wait to have our own children, too. Now go, share the news. I’ll see you later,” said Alpha Roman.

“Ok, laters,” said Julie while sprinting off down the hallways looking for her best new friend Carla Weaver who is a witch like her.

“So Julie finally knows she’s pregnant huh. Does she know that it’s going to be a girl, too,” said Beta Elias while eavesdropping on Roman’s and Julie’s conversation before Julie taking off.

“Yeap, she finally found out on her own, and no, I don’t think she knows it’s a girl. I’ll let it be a surprise. I don’t want to spoil it for her if she wants to wait until she gives birth or so. You know how all women get about pregnancy,” said Alpha Roman.

“Tell me about it. I have enough with all four of my sisters’ pregnancies. They hate it when they find out their baby's gender too soon,” said Beta Elias.

“Hahaha, I was there, fool. That scar of yours is a good reminder not to spoil the news for them,” said Alpha Roman while looking at his Beta’s scar on his right upper arm.

“Shut up, Reed. Don’t remind me that. Now let’s go celebrate with our pack. We need some hunting time,” said Beta Elias.

“A good hunt sounds good. Let’s go,” said Alpha Roman before shapeshifting into their bears and sprinting out into the forest while mind linking the rest of the pack to join.
