Chapter Eight

The next day I had to say goodbye to my childhood home. It feels like a good chapter that is coming to an end albeit too soon. I put my boxes in my car and despite my parents offer to drive me, there was really no room for everyone to sit. Secretly, they knew I had to do this on my own. I gave them each a hug. "I love you guys. I already miss you but to be honest I'll probably be over for dinner more than you'd like anyway" I said half laughing.

"You're welcome anytime honey." My mom squeezed me extra tight and gave me a peck on the cheek.

"Drive safe." dad said as I walked to the car. 

"It's a three minute drive, dad." I laughed out loud. 

"Can't be too careful." he said, chuckling and holding his hands up in the air. 

I turned on the engine and drove over to the pack house parking lot. I'm supposed to meet Jill here to help me unload. My room will be two doors down from her and her Mate Connor. I got out of the car and opened the trunk. So much stuff for just one room. I slid some boxes on the ground that were too heavy to carry alone. Putting my room key in my jeans pocket I grabbed a smaller box and made my way to the main entrance. Luckily I already knew people here so it wouldn't be too lonely at first. 

I stopped walking when I heard vehicles approaching. Three black SUVs parked in the middle of the parking lot. Alpha Damon must be leaving soon. Looks like he's bringing quite a few warriors with him. Minding my own business I carried the box to my room, leaving it near the closet. I jogged down the stairs and made my way back to the car. I heard the SUV doors slam closed as I grabbed another box. I waited on the side for the vehicles to pass me and tried to make out who was sitting inside. Luckily the windshield is not tinted like the rest of the windows. Nobody I recognized was in the first vehicle. Then I saw Alpha Damon driving the second vehicle and next to him was Beta Tony. He looked up as they passed me. 

Shock went through my body as I saw his face through the glass and I dropped the box that was in my hands. I stood there frozen watching the cars drive towards the exit. My heart is pounding in my chest and I'm unable to breathe. Suddenly all three SUV's came to an abrupt stop. The doors of the second vehicle opened and I watched Alpha Damon and Beta Tony get out. Beta Tony sprinted towards me with a smile on his face. My mind sees him approaching me, but my body is too shocked to respond. He's standing in front of me now, looking deep into my eyes. He cupped my face in both his hands and gave me a long intensive kiss on the lips. Fireworks ignited in me and I slowly relaxed giving into his kiss. I grabbed his shirt pulling him closer to me to which he chuckled and broke the kiss. "My Mate" he whispered, locking our foreheads together. "I wish this would have happened under different circumstances. I'm leaving for two weeks" he said with hurt in his voice. My eyes were still closed trying to comprehend what was happening. I'm breathing in his scent of sweet clove and fir. God he smells good. "Jessie." he said in such a loving voice. I opened my eyes and looked at him unable to respond. We stared at each other. Time seemingly frozen. 

"I have to go now." he said. "Okay." I said in a low whisper. I took another deep breath inhaling his strong masculine scent making me grow wet in between my legs. A low growl came out of his mouth smelling my arousal. "Oh baby you smell so sweet!" He pulled me closer, pressing our bodies against each other. He placed his head on my neck and whispered into my ear. "I'll be back and we will continue this." Nibbling on my marking spot before he planted another seductive kiss on my lips. He walked away towards the car leaving me full of desire. 

"OH MY GOD! I KNEW IT!!!" Jill screamed from behind me. She came out of nowhere.
