"There is nothing new in her activities for the past two months. I just can't seem to click my fingers on what exactly is going on here." Matilda commented as she kept slipping through the file in her hand. The same file was in Cat's hands too.

"That means whatever the reason for the decision is, it's not in her movement..." Cat stopped talking as Matilda looked at her to see why

"Take a look at her whereabouts on the 23rd of April. She went back to her supposed former boyfriend's house."

"Her ex??? I thought they were over. Her father made sure they were over."

"Then I don't think he has any idea his little daughter is still in love with him." Gemini's ex, Austin was a complete douchbag. He smokes, drinks, and has every unreputable act any man could have. The love Gemini has for him is yet another mystery she has about her dear cousin.

"Remember the conversation we heard them have around late last year? Do you think that's why they are still meeting up??" Cat asked as she still has her head pressed into the file.

The conversation we heard them have was a very short tape but the importance of the conversation was gotten from there. Austin was a complete asshole who treated Gemini like trash and she doesn't even see it. Austin brought up the idea of them having the company in their name. Having all that money, Pablo could do nothing to stop him from marrying her. All beautiful and bullshit ideas he had that evening and one could hear the joy in Gemini's voice when she readily agreed to his idea.

She had always known Gemini hated her for reasons best known to Gemini alone, so she was not surprised when Moses brought the tape to her and she listened to it. She was just sad for Gemini who was being duped by her boyfriend thinking it was love.

"He probably convinced her to come back to her. He seems to do that a lot to her, manipulation. So I won't be surprised if that was what they were talking about." Matilda replied finally dropping the file and resting her head on the headrest of her car. She wanted a simple life of just monitoring her store but life made her rich so here she was trying to solve problems that she had no interest in. She would have abandoned the whole thing if she didn't know how important she knew the company was to her father when he was alive. He took care of the company like it was a son that he could never have. Mind you, he didn't discriminate Matilda at all. He gave her everything she could ever ask for.

"Should we inform Pablo about it?" Cat asked but she already knew the answer to that.

"No. You know how he will take it if we drop this on him. Take it as us being stalkers and probably just use that as an opportunity to bring the police into our business for invasion of privacy." Matilda explained.

Before Cat could say anything else the driver announced they were at their destination

"We're here ma'am" She and Matilda left the car. She stood outside of her father's cherished company, looking at the skyscraper in front of her with the company logo in huge style there. Matty Globals. Her father took the name from her name. She remembered him saying she was his lucky charm. That alone brought a smile to her face. She was ready for anyone who tried to steal what was rightly hers. Come rain, come sun.

As soon as she walked into the conference room, all board members stood to acknowledge her, including Pablo and Gemini. She could see the hatred in their eyes at having to stand for her. She didn't acknowledge them as she walked to her sit at the top of the table.

"It is so gracious of you to grace us with your presence." Pablo initiated. She seriously wasn't ready for this, this afternoon but she played along.

"You know, there is just a lot going on in the pleasure world, I hardly even find time to myself." That sentence alone has the whole room uncomfortable and she could hear Gemini scoff.

"We didn't need to hear the details of your activities." She mumbled to herself but Matilda could still hear her.

"Alright, straight to business. You want to step down, is that right Pablo??" She asked looking towards her right-hand side where Pablo was seated.

"Yes, I think I am getting old and this old man needs his long overdue vacation time and retirement enjoyment. Would you have anything against that??" Pablo questioned her back.

"Most definitely not, it was all just too sudden. That's all ." She said before facing the whole room to ask "All in favor of this transfer should please raise their hand" Just two of the eight board members raised their hand. She wasn't surprised.

The shock on Pablo's face was priceless. Matilda was sure he had thought he would have his way with this. Does he even know why his daughter had pressured him into the decision he was about to make??

"That says it then. There is not going to be any transfer."

"Wait a minute, it is my dad's decision to want to step down, how does that have anything to do with you all??" Gemini asked, ignorant about things as usual but she would never admit that. She was too proud to do that.

"Because he doesn't own all the shares in the company and whatever decision he makes affects us all." Matilda explained in simple words to her.

"Daddy and you're not going to do anything about this? This is so unfair, you know how much I want it." Gemini faced Pablo with a pout, already starting a tatum Matilda was most definitely not ready to witness.

"Alright, that brings the meeting to an end, and Pablo, do not call me over in a hurry to make this type of rushed decision again. Anything that needs my attention and can not be sent through mail can wait till the end of the month when I will be around." With that, she stepped out of the conference room with Cat on her tail.
