Preparations

Avery’s POV

  1 Month Later,

“AVES, come on, we are getting late.”

“Just coming” replying to Ky’s calling, I take my bag, leaving the room. Going down the stairs, I see Aids and Ky waiting for me. We three have decided to go together, to the shopping for Aid’s suit which he will wear tomorrow at the party. Along with him, Ky and I will also get something for us to wear after all it’s Aids eighteenth birthday. The most important day of his life or any werewolf.

“Oh Moon Goddess, at last… What took you so long? It’s Aiden’s special day tomorrow, not your’s girl. And after that, we are just going shopping not a party. Moon Goddess only knows how much time you will take tomorrow to get ready” Ky said as he saw me down.

Shaking my head, I said, “let’s go.” In reply, they both shook their head and just followed me to the car. Generally, I don’t take much time to get ready but today it’s different. I actually, wanted to go neither shopping nor party, because I still have feelings for Aid and I am just not able to ignore them. In this one month, I have tried my best to just flush off the feelings and the pain I feel, thinking that tomorrow he is going to find his mate and maybe that fortunate girl is not me. Just this one thought, bring tears to my eyes, and even now sitting at back I am not able to control but just because I have an audience here, I am controlling myself.

“So where should we stop first, Aves?” asked Aid making me jolt out of my thoughts. Taking a deep breath, I said, “ Um…. Let’s go to the one near the church in the south, it’s Lily’s mom boutique. She makes awesome suits and dresses, for every occasion that too at a very low price. I also asked Lily and she said she has informed her mom, so now we will get the discount too.” I replied to them smiling. And when I looked at them, they were looking at me, as if I’ve grown two horns on my head.

“What?” I asked

“Are you Avery only? Since when you started getting fascinated by discounts and shopping, huh?” Ky asked, while both of them laughing.

“It’s Aves's eighteenth birthday, so everything should be the best, even his suit. So, if we are getting the good quality at a low price and that too with discount, then why not?” I replied to them shrugging.

“Okay, okay. We are going there only, then” said Aves.

After half-an-hour, we reached there and entering the boutique, a girl was sitting on the receptionist counter. Reaching her, I asked her about, Mrs. Anna ‘Lily’s mom’. Asking us to take a seat, she goes inside and after some time comes back with a pretty woman and goes back to her place.

“Hello, I’m Anna, Lily’s mom. You must be Avery, right?” she asks looking at me.

“Hello mam, yes I’m Avery,” I said. Listening to me, she instantly engulfed me in a shocking hug. It is my first time meeting Lily’s mom, so I was not excepting it to come. But, soon recovering I returned her the hug, smiling.   

“Lily talks a lot about you dear. So, I was very excited to meet you and thank you for coming. At least, I got a chance to meet you. Come inside.” She said giggling and seeming excited to meet me.

Going inside, dresses can be seen everywhere. Gowns, suits, dresses, and whatnot. “So, for whom you wanted a suit?” she asked looking between me and the boys.

“Ohh, sorry I didn’t introduce you guys. This is Aiden, whose birthday is tomorrow, for him, we came to you and this is Kyler. And guys, this is Lily’s mom, Mrs. Ann” I smiled introducing them.

“Oh, hello boys, well you are a very handsome man, Aiden. It will not be much difficult to find you a perfect suit. Come on, let me show you guys some of my masterpieces.” Saying this, she turned and started walking towards a door.

Entering the door, there can be seen, few suits and dresses which are awesomely perfect, gorgeous, beautiful and whatnot. “So, Aiden tell me which kind and color of suit you would like to wear.” She asked turning towards Aids.

“Umm, actually I would like something simple in black.” He replied.

“Ok”, nodding her head she moved towards the stand with suits and collected two-three suit pieces from it. Coming to us, she gave them to Aid and asked him to try them and see which one he likes. After that, they will see it’s fitting.

Going to the trial room he closed the door and while he was trying, Ky and I also tried some of Ann’s masterpieces. Aid will be done in some minutes only, he is very quick and clear with his clothes selections, so he doesn’t need anyone’s help in choosing what’s perfect for him. After fifteen minutes Aid comes out of the room, and gives all the suits to Ann, telling her, his choice.

“Wow, nice selection boy, it’s my best and only piece of the collection now.” She said to  him and then Ky also comes to her with one in his hands telling her, “And, I would like this one for myself.”

Taking both of their suits, she turns towards me, raising her brows asking about me. “I didn’t find anything which I would like, so I’m still looking,” I replied her with smiling embarrassedly.

“No problem, honey. Take your time, till then I will take the boy's measurement.” She said, turning away from me and leaving the room, with the boys.

“Let us help you in finding your dress,” said both the boys, coming back in the room and starts searching for a dress for me.

“Do you both even know, what kind of dress I want?” I asked them with a chuckle.

“No, but we do know, what you will like and what your choice is.” Said Aid, turning and winking at me.

Shaking my head I also got back into my mission of searching for my dress. After few seconds only, “here, try this” voice comes behind me. Turning, I saw a very beautiful cocktail dress in front of me. Seeing the dress, I was in love with it instantly. Raising my head, I saw Aiden holding it, this guy know me too well. Taking the dress I went to the trial room. After trying the dress, I was done with searching,   this dress is perfect. It’s simple but also very gorgeous.

Coming out of the room after changing, I saw Ann already there talking to the boys. “Ann, I will take this one.” I came towards them, saying.

“Good choice girl, okay now you also give me your measurement and three of your dresses will be ready by the morning.” She said

After giving her my measurements, we left the boutique for having some food at the restaurant.  Then in two hours, we were back at the house. The packed house was very crowded today, due to all preparations for tomorrow. The whole pack was being decorated, for the party and also because it will be their new alphas first shift. Everyone is very much excited to see his wolf and also eager to know who will be his mate.

Entering the house, I straight made my way to my room. Going into my room, I got to my bed to relax for some time as I will need to go downstairs to help the luna and everyone else with the preparations. It’s already going to be evening soon, so it’s better to complete the preparations as soon as possible. Few minutes later, I got downstairs and started helping luna with ordering and looking after the everything

Aiden’s POV

Five hours later,

I am in the middle of the forest, going back to the packhouse. Not knowing what time it is, just guessing that it’s close too soon 12 by looking at the moon brightly shining on the sky, I am increasing my speed. Need in reaching the packhouse quickly, so that no one gets to know about me sneaking out at midnight, especially my dad. He has strictly prohibited any of the pack members to go out at the midnight, saying that it’s not safe, as some rouges are seen roaming around our land by the guards. Nowadays, it’s been increased to find them roaming even after making the patrolling more strict.

The weather is so soothing, that I don’t want to go back to the house, especially near the lake, my favorite spot to spend my time. Thinking about tomorrow, I was not able to sleep so I came to the lake to relax. I will be shifting tomorrow for the first time and I am very excited about it. I will meet my wolf and also I will my mate, which will be the cherry on the cake.

It’s a blessing for us wolves, that we can sense and know who our mate is. Whoever my mate will be, I will make her the happiest being in the world. I will cherish her, adore her, and will do anything for her happiness. Even, I think my wolf will also be the craziest. We both together will protect our mate and keep her safe. Talking about my wolf, I am so eager now to know what my wolf color will be, that I can’t even wait a few more hours after so many years.       

Now, I was running to reach the packhouse and suddenly, I start feeling pain taking place all over my body. Then, a sudden wave of pain crashes my body and it feels like my skin and bones are tearing apart. Slowly, the pain goes on increasing to a level where I start screaming due to which all the small creatures near me runs away. After seconds, I realized that I am shifting and the thought of it bought a smile on my face but again the painful wave occurs. The thought of my family came into me and I was regretting the choice to come out now, I just hoped for them to be here.

After a few minutes of struggle, a full blow of pain came, making me scream so loudly that I think everyone must have heard it. Slowly, the darkness took place, and then in seconds, all the pain got away. Opening my eyes, I saw four paws and I was able to see everything clearly like the ants in the grass. Realizing that I’ve shifted I started running feeling the cool and soothing breeze through my fur. Skipping the branches and twigs and rocks in between, I was just enjoying forgetting every prohibition and things.

I ran towards the lake to see my wolf. How handsome does it look?  What color is it of? Getting near the lake and looking down in the water, I see a big large pure black wolf, carrying green eyes with golden sparkles in them. I can say that he is a handsome boy. And then suddenly, from nowhere a voice came, “Hello, human”.
