Chapter Five

1014 Words
A year ago, she had long, golden blonde hair, with a few delicate braids. Her eyes were bright green, and she was wearing her favorite white dress. She had been so happy, so full of life. And now, she looked so different. Her hair was shorter and darker, and her eyes were dull and tired. The dress she was wearing was plain and simple, far from the luxurious gown she had been wearing in the mirror. Two days later, Eliana had grown accustomed to their culture and how they lived. She never allowed any man to talk to her because she didn't give them chances to even speak out their mind. Eliana was determined to be independent and self-sufficient. She didn't want to rely on anyone else, especially not a man. She had seen how the women of the pack were treated, and she didn't want to be like them. She wanted to be her own person, to make her own choices. And so far, she had been successful in that endeavor. No man had spoken to her, and she had been able to keep to herself. But deep down, she knew that she couldn't stay like this forever. She would have to face the world eventually. She didn't like the fact that she ended up staying at a house where she knew no one. It had been two weeks since she had woken up in this strange place, and she was feeling increasingly isolated. The people in the house were kind to her, but she didn't know them, and she didn't feel like she could trust them. They were strangers, and she was a stranger to them. She longed for familiarity, for the comfort of knowing someone and having a real connection with them. But in this strange place, she was alone. The strangers were beginning to warm up with her and not ignoring her. They have grown to watch her do her thing. Even though she doesn't like Magnus. She doesn't like Magnus because of what her former mate had done to her. Eliana's dislike for Magnus was deep-rooted and understandable. Her former mate had been cruel and manipulative, and the thought of anyone else being like him was unbearable. But despite her reservations, she could sense that the people in the house were starting to warm up to her. They were trying to make her feel welcome, even though she had been pushing them away. She didn't know how to feel about this. Part of her wanted to let them in, but the other part of her was afraid of getting hurt again. She was more than scared to get hurt again, but she knew she wasn't supposed to get scared that everything would be okay. As she sat in her room, she thought about nothing but revenge. How she would get revenge on Adams, her former mate and Clara, the woman he had cheated on her with. Eliana's thoughts were consumed by revenge, and it was clear that this was not a healthy mindset for her to be in. Revenge is a dark path, one that can lead to more pain and suffering. Eliana needed to find a way to move on from the past, to let go of her anger and resentment. She needed to focus on healing and rebuilding her life, not on revenge. But she didn't know how to do that. The wounds were still fresh, and she was not sure if she could ever truly move on. The moon goddess had brought her back to make corrections to things. She wasn't scared, but she couldn't move on. All she craved was revenge on those people who hurt her. She craved it, and she was going to get it. But the Moon Goddess had made it clear that Eliana's mission was to make corrections, not to seek revenge. The Goddess had given her a second chance at life, and Eliana had to make the most of it. She had to focus on healing herself and making things right. The Goddess had given her a powerful gift, and she couldn't squander it by seeking vengeance. If she did that, she would never find peace. On the seventh day, Eliana dressed up and went to her former pack just to see what they were up to. She disguised herself so no one would recognize her. And she did. She stood in the midst of the people as Adams addressed them. Eliana brought out her arrow and was about to shoot it at him in anger. She didn't stop not caring that she could get hurt or get killed. She pulled her arrow and was about to release it when she was grabbed by an unknown person. When she saw the person, it was Magnus. "Magnus?" She blurted lowly. Had he followed her here? Well, she didn't allow that to distract her. Eliana released her arrow, and it met the woman Adams cheated on her with. The arrow flew through the air, and Eliana watched in horror as it hit Clara square in the chest. She crumpled to the ground, blood pouring from the wound. Everyone in the crowd gasped in shock, and Adams rushed to Clara's side. He held her in his arms, his eyes wide with fear and grief. But Eliana couldn't look away. She had done something terrible, something she could never take back. Magnus grabbed Eliana's arm, pulling her away from the scene. "What have you done?" he demanded, his voice trembling. "She's hurt - she could die!" "Do you think I care? That's what I want. I want her to die. I want her to feel the pain of going through death. You don't know what I have gone through." Eliana stated with her tone laced with nothing but revenge. "You shouldn't have..." She got frustrated. "I don't care. I want her to die. She killed me before, and she deserves to die." Eliana blurted out loud and the next thing, someone heard and pointed in her direction. "She did it!" Everyone turned to her.
