Chapter Four

1014 Words
Magnus was dressed in a way that could only be described as "bad boy chic". He was wearing a black leather jacket over a dark grey t-shirt, and his jeans were ripped and faded. His boots were scuffed and worn, and he had several rings on his fingers. His hair was disheveled, as if he hadn't bothered to comb it that morning. Overall, he looked like the kind of guy who didn't care about fashion trends or what was considered "stylish". He was his own man, and his style reflected that. Eliana couldn't help but be curious about Magnus. Who was he, really? Where did he come from, and what had brought him to her? And why did he seem so protective of her? There was something about him that made her feel safe, despite the strangeness of the situation. It was like he was a force of stability in a world that had turned upside down. As she was lost in thought, Eliana heard a noise outside the room. It sounded like someone was walking down the hallway. She held her breath, listening intently. Was it Magnus coming back to check on her? But that wasn't it. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she went ahead to check. She couldn't walk well, but she tried to see. Eliana slowly made her way to the door, her heart pounding in her chest. She carefully peeked through the c***k in the door, not wanting to be seen. What she saw took her breath away. Magnus was standing in the middle of a group of people, who were all bowing down to him. It was like he was some kind of king or ruler, and they were his subjects. But what was even more shocking was the way they looked - they had pointed ears, and some of them had wings. They weren't human. They were something else entirely. Eliana couldn't believe her eyes. Eliana's eyes widened as she took in the scene before her. Magnus was standing in the middle of a group of people, all of whom were bowing down to him. He looked different somehow, more powerful and imposing than before. And as Eliana watched, she realized that these people were not just bowing out of respect - they were bowing out of fear. Suddenly, everything clicked into place. Magnus was not just a man, he was an Alpha - the leader of a pack of werewolves. And Eliana was now a part of that pack. The White Moon pack - the name sounded familiar, like something from a storybook or legend. Eliana wondered how she could have ended up in such a place. Was she dreaming? Had she died and gone to some kind of supernatural afterlife? She felt herself beginning to panic, and she tried to take a deep breath, to calm herself down. Suddenly, she heard a low growl from behind her. She turned around, her heart in her throat. There, standing in the doorway, was a massive, dark grey wolf. Suddenly, the wolf began to walk closer to her and she got scared. She was scared. She screamed out so loud that it got the attention of Magnus. Magnus' head snapped up at the sound of Eliana's scream. In an instant, he had turned around and was sprinting towards her, his features shifting back to those of a man. As he reached Eliana, he placed a hand on her shoulder. It's okay, you're safe," he said, his voice low and soothing. "There's nothing to be afraid of." Eliana looked up at him, her eyes wide with fear. "What was that? Was that a wolf?" she asked, her voice shaking. "It's alright, I promise," he said, his eyes gentle. Eliana shivered and it showed that she was scared. It was then she saw another woman around her age. The woman who stood before Eliana was of average height, with olive skin and dark brown hair. She wore a simple, white cotton dress, with an apron tied around her waist. Her eyes were a warm brown, and her expression was kind and welcoming. There was something comforting about her, as if she was a friend that Eliana had known for years. "It's okay, Eliana," the woman said, taking a step towards her. Magnus walked away from her and the woman moved closer to her, stretching forth her hand. "Hi, it's Lia." Lia introduced herself to Eliana. "Oh. Hi." She retorted back shakily. "Welcome to the White Moon pack," Lia said, smiling. "I know this must all be very overwhelming for you, but I promise, you're safe here. Eliana looked around the room, taking in her surroundings. Everything was so foreign and unfamiliar to her, but she felt a strange sense of peace in the presence of this woman. There was something about her that was so comforting, like a motherly figure. "Thank you," Eliana said, her voice still shaking. "I just... I have so many questions. I don't even know where to start." "Oh, you can ask me anything. I am at your service because I am the one the Alpha assigned to you to take care of your knees while you get better." Lia spoke. "You see, Lia," she continued, "you're injured, and you need to get better. I've been tasked with helping you to get stronger so that you can walk and get well again." Eliana nodded, slowly beginning to comprehend what Lia was saying. "So you're here to help me heal?" she asked. "That's right," Lia replied, her voice full of warmth. "I'm here to help you in any way I can. Let's start with some questions, shall we?" Eliana nodded and Lia took her back to the room. As she walked around the room, she saw a mirror, and it was then she remembered. It was then she remembered that this was the way she looked one year back." As Eliana's eyes landed on the mirror, she froze. She saw her reflection and she was shocked to see her old self staring back at her.
