Write A Story of Us

Decades have passed since the goodness and darkest era of magicians dies along with them and here’s modern life where a new beginning fatedly bloom in one meeting.
One lady in her mid-twenties tried to think on something to do for her afternoon coffee break. She even holding a pen and tapping them on the piece of paper. She tried to write something on it but nothing came up.
“What to write?” she asked to herself.
She was lost in her thought when the bell of the coffee shop rang and it echoes through her ears. She was indeed caught up from that sound and to her surprised, she saw an angel. To her eyes she saw a beautiful angel walking down the aisle. Her eyes were glued to that particular lady.
“What a beauty.” She whispered as she looked at her buying at the counter.
She kept watching her like a piece of an art that she couldn’t take away her eyes off. She was mesmerized on how simple but beautiful this lady was. She knew to herself that there was something about this lady that luring her in. She felt like that she’s been caught into something that she couldn’t run away from.
“What could be her name?” she asked herself out the blue that loud enough to be heard by anyone who passes to her seat.
She was lost in her thought that never realized that the lady was already in front of hers laughing.
“I’m Yume and you are?” the lady introduced herself when she heard her.
“A-Alexan.” She answered in her stuttered voice.
She was indeed caught off guard when she saw the lady she’s admired appeared in front of her while holding a tray of hot coffee and a slice of blueberry cheesecake.
“Can I sit with you?” Yume asked her directly.
“Sure.” Alexan allowed Yume to sit with her.
When Yume finally joined Alexan table, she felt a bit uneasy and Yume noticed it. She watched Alexan’s movement and it made her chuckled. Alexan was embarrassed out of shyness until Yume cut the silence.
“I’m a witch.” Yume seriously confessed to her out of the blue.
Alexan didn’t catch it clearly or she just doesn’t believe on it for a second but when she met Yume’s eyes, once again, she was lost.
“That’s cool then.” Alexan just said while nodding her head off.
“You don’t believe me, are you?” Yume chuckled as she asked because the tone she used.
“Maybe but it’s cool if you were.” Alexan tried to reason but she never lied to the person she’s sitting with.
“Why is that?” Yume asked with curiosity in the way she looked at Alexan.
“I don’t know maybe it’ll be cool for me if I’m friend with one.” Alexan calmly responded like she was in elsewhere within her mind.
“Even its dangerous?” Yume asked again as she studied her expressions.
“How can it be?” Alexan turned the table.
“Magic could bring disaster in one’s like or for worst case to everything it touches.” Yume explained her side with no lies in her tone as well.
“Well, maybe but it always depends to the person how has it, doesn’t it?” Alexan thought while meeting Yume’s fixed gaze on her.
“Touché. Hearing you talked like that made me wonder for who you really are. You’re interesting person, Alexan.” Yum chuckled as her eyes never left Alexan who was a bit uneasy toward the way she looked at her.
“Well, thank you. I felt the same around you. Mysteriously beautiful.” Alexan responded with genuine smiled just to hide her unknown feeling that she never felt before.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” Yume said as she returned the smile to her.
Alexan just let go the bugging thought about the feelings that she felt around the new acquaintance next to her. She refocused herself on doing what she wanted to do in the first place. She kept tapping the pen on the blank paper and not even minding that someone was watching her doing that.
“I’m lost.” Alexan slammed her face to the table that made Yume laughed.
Alexan took a peek on her since Yume’s voice felt like a wind chimes melody into her ears. She really never heard it before and just by looking at Yume, she’s feeling that her heart was going to explode.
“What you were thinking?” Yume asked her after taking a sip from her coffee.
“I want to write something but nothing comes out. It’s frustrating.” Alexan replied as she sighed.
“It’ll be more frustrating if you won’t let it be.” Yume told her that confused Alexan.
Yume chuckled as she saw how confused Alexan to what she just said. For Yume, she saw how cute this person in front of her. It was like she found something not just interesting but something more to care for.
“What I mean is just let it be for a moment. Don’t think of something to write. Don’t force it just let it come to you. Like magic.” Yume explained what she meant.
“Hah, yeah right.” Alexan just said not believing on what she really meant.
“Don’t believe me? Then write a story about us.” Yume smirked as she looked deeply to Alexan.
“US?!” Alexan jumped from hearing the word ‘us’ and she was blushing out of embarrassment that Yume found so amusing.
Yume felt like teasing Alexan since she start to love on how Alexan reactions toward her presences. She found not just a friend who might accept her but something more that even her couldn’t explain.
“Use us as your character in your story. Whatever you feeling your thoughts even our conversation right now, you can write them down. Just let it flow within you and you’ll see, your hands are already moving as you mind told them to do so.” Yume chuckled as she explained to her the real reason why she said that advice.
Alexan thought of it for a moment until Yume held her hand that snapped her from her deep thought. Yume looked deeply through her eyes like she was reading her like an opened book and Alexan was really feeling good about it. She definitely frozen and her thought suddenly screaming for help but her heart was begging to jump out from her chest to be with Yume.
“Yume…what are you doing?” Alexan asked nervously that made Yume smiled.
“Hm, nothing just reading your thoughts as well listening the way your heart beats for me.” Yume honestly replied that made Alexan blushed even more.
Yume was indeed teasing her but behind her teases, she was indeed reading Alexan and she even took a little bit peek on their future.
“Well, I have to go.” Yume said as she let go of her hand but Alexan didn’t.
She couldn’t let go of Yume’s hand not until she noticed on what she was doing. Yume was just a stranger but the feeling was indeed real. She’s having for the first time her love at first sight.
“Don’t worry; I’ll be seeing you in your dreams.” Yume stated that made Alexan relaxed but confused at the same time.
As Yume left the coffee shop, Alexan felt something missing like Yume took some part of her and that made her happily defeated for the first time. She was happy. Incredibly happy to be exact and because of it, she managed to write something about them. Her hand magically started to move and she was enjoying it. She felt like it was a movie through her mind and she couldn’t stop even it was already dinner.
“Gosh, it was already late…” Alexan said as she looked at the coffee shop’s wall clock when she stretched her arms and feet from sitting.
She went to the counter to get something to eat for her dinner and when she does, she went back to her seat to take a break for a moment. She was enjoying herself after meeting such a mysterious angel that seriously inspired her to write something she’s having trouble earlier. After her dinner she went back on her writing until to their recent encounter.
“She really gave me something today but what should a give her?” she asked herself after finishing the first half of their encounter.
“I think, I have to rest since I have a business to run again tomorrow.” Alexan said to herself before cleaning her table and leaving the shop.
Alexan went home straight and jumped onto her bed from being tired since she just walked from the coffee shop to her house. She rolled on her bed like reading some notifications from her application apps before heading to sleep.
“I hope I could see her again.” She mumbled to herself before her eyes began to close.
