Chapter Thirty-nine
Though not first on my list, squeezing in time to follow up with Cocoa Barr regarding Marly’s visit on The Glover Hayes Show had to be done. We would be foolish not to capitalize on the event, especially now that Gayline was receiving more attention. I did not feel our new on-air repartee should change our plan with Glover. It had always been Marly versus Glover; their ongoing rivalry started long before I came on the scene. Of course, Glover was not aware of the plan we had concocted, and the best news was we got a lucky break—an intern working at Glover’s radio station agreed to act as our mole and provide invaluable extra help.
