Alexi
I was fuming, how dare he call me a sl*t, in front of people no less. I was an i***t to think anything could ever happen between us. I was currently stuffing my clothes back into the luggage I came with. I was getting out of here. I love Jake, but Ashton could burn in hell for all I cared. A knock at the door interrupted my internal rage. I walked over to the door and ripped it open. "WHAT" I screamed, realizing it was just Eric, a little too late.
"Whoa there buddy," he said, walking in and closing the door. He looked around. "What are you doing?" he asked. "What does it look like I'm doing?" I said, sarcastically. "I'm packing my stuff and getting out of here." He sighed and sat on the bed. "Come on, don't do that."
"Why not, did you hear what he said to me?" I asked, flabbergasted. "Yes and you got even, plus Jake needs us here, remember." I stared at him dumbfounded. How could he want to stay here after witnessing the utter disrespect he has for me and our kind?
"Are you serious, do you really want to stay here?" I asked, close to tears. I didn't want to stay, but I would if Eric did. "I do, we gave Jake our word and if we bail out now, we'll just be proving to his alpha that we're selfish." He said with a sense of righteousness.
ugh
"Fine, whatever," I said, tossing my bag to the other side of the bed. I sat down in the corner of the bed and stared at the floor. I didn't want to admit this out loud, though I'm sure Eric guessed it already, but Ashton really hurt my feelings downstairs, and I wasn't looking forward to seeing him again any time soon.
Eric cleared his throat to get my attention and I looked up, "So, want to watch a movie or something?" he asked, grabbing the remote from the nightstand. "No, not really, I think I'm going to take a shower and head to bed early," I said, standing up.
I rummaged through my now messy luggage to find some pajamas and turned to face him. He frowned but put the remote back down. "Okay, call me if you need me", he murmured, walking out of the room.
I walked to the bathroom and decided to take a bubble bath instead. The bathroom was huge. There was a shower with a glass door with a shower head on either end of the wall. There was a marble counter with a shell-shaped sink and a deep bathtub that looked like it could fit at least four people.
I drew the bath water and added lavender soap and bath salts. As I soaked in the tub, I lost track of time and was startled by a knock at the door. Thinking it was Eric, I wrapped a towel around myself and answered the door.
Ashton
I was pacing back and forth in my room. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to apologize to Alexi. I crossed the line at dinner and was feeling like a huge a**. I saw her reaching for comfort from Eric and got jealous. I've never shamed a woman like that before.
My wolf Klaus was growling non-stop, demanding that I find her right now and grovel at her feet. I knew which room she was staying in. I could go down there right now, but I was nervous about what I was going to say, plus, I still didn't fully trust her, but she was right. I hadn't even given her a chance.
Maybe she and Jake were right. I couldn't condemn a whole species because of what one witch did to me. I sighed and walked to the bathroom and gave myself a once-over in the mirror.
I made my way down to the guest floor and was immediately hit with her mouthwatering scent. I followed her scent to her room. I lifted my hand to knock on the door and hesitated. What should I say? Klaus told me to just knock, and it would come to me when she answered the door.
I knocked on the door and waited patiently for her to answer. She opened the door in a tiny body towel. My jaw fell open as I trailed my eyes over her smooth chocolaty skin, I was pretty sure that I was drooling. She looked startled and gasped "Ashton?" I took a step forward. "Yeah?" I asked.
She took a step back, and I took another step forward until I was in the room and closed the door behind me. I couldn't take my eyes off of the cleavage I was seeing. Klaus was growling in my head lustfully. He wanted me to mark her here and now, and right now I had no objections. She was gorgeous.
She probably realized that I was drooling over her and smirked, "Can I help you with something?" she asked smugly. She took a step toward me and my mind went blank.
"You know, for someone that hates witches, you don't look like you particularly hate me right now," she said, taking another step toward me until she was mere inches away. "I- I um I wanted to apologize," I said, stuttering over my words. She was so close I could almost taste her and it was numbing my thoughts. I couldn't think properly.
"What I said was completely out of line, the witch stuff and the...other stuff as well," I said, scratching the back of my neck. I'm sure I was blushing. Damn it, there goes my tough guy image. She stared at me for a long time. I was starting to get worried that she had somehow turned into a statue.
"Hmm," she hummed to herself, "you really mean that," she said, shocked. "Of course I do". I whispered I was feeling vulnerable right now for some reason. Ugh, I felt weak and I hated it. The weak get disrespected and killed. I looked at Alexi. Did she think I was weak? Could she sense my uncertainty?
A wave of anger coursed through me. I wasn't weak, I was an Alpha and I wouldn't be looked down upon. "Look, just because I'm apologizing doesn't mean I'm weak". I spit at her. She looked at me confused. "I didn't think you were." I scoffed. "I see the look on your face". "I don't need your pity," I yelled.
"Why would I pity you," she asked. I stared at her. She was right. I've given her no reason to pity me. It's just the thought of being looked down upon was always a sore spot for me.
I walked past her and sat on her bed. I swiped my hand down my face. "I'm sorry for snapping like that. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm not usually this bipolar," I said with a half-hearted laugh.
She came and sat next to me. "I can sense that your heart is hurting," she said, taking me by surprise. I whipped my head towards her. "What?" I asked. "Your heart," she said, "it carries so much sadness". Her eyes are glowing gold and a single tear drops from her eye and glides across her cheek.
I reached up and wiped the tear with my thumb, cupping her cheek. She places her hand over mine on her face. "I hope you don't mind." "I could tell you were thinking about something deeply and wanted to sense your emotions," she says, but I barely hear her. I'm suddenly super aware that she's still in her towel.
We stare at each other for a long moment. Both of us were unsure of what to do and neither of us wanting to cave first. The electricity in the air is so thick I can practically see it. Just when I think I can't hold back anymore, she curses under her breath and crashes her lips onto mine.
The kiss is urgent and frantic. I'm unsure of what to do, so I let her take the lead. She nibbles on my bottom lip, earning a groan from me. I eagerly open my mouth. She immediately seeks dominance over my tongue. I slide my hand that is on her cheek to the back of her neck when she pushes me back onto the bed and straddles me. My nerves only grow as she begins to grind her bare core against the growing bulge in my pants.
She grabs my free hand and guides it to her thigh and the hem of the towel still covering her body. My hand trembles as I begin to unwrap the towel from around her body until it falls in front of her body and onto my stomach. She breaks the kiss and gives me a glorious view of her perky breasts.
Her n******s are already hard. All I do is stare with a lump in my throat. She looks down at me with confusion on her face. "Are you okay?" she asks. "I- um... I've.. n-never.. I've never done anything like this", I stutter. She gapes at me "w-what" she asks. A look of horror washes over her face and I get more embarrassed. I'm probably the reddest I've ever been before. I covered my face with my forearm to hide from her intense gaze.
"Oh goddess, you heard me Alexi, I've never done this. Okay, that was my first kiss and this is my first... "Well, I'm not sure what's happening here or how far we were going to go, but it's my first time doing this too," I said in a rushed sentence.
"That-that can't be true. I mean you, you're" she stutters as she slowly un-straddles me. I immediately pout at the loss of her warmth. Me pout? Pout me? Oh goddess, what have I become? "I'm sorry," Alexi says, suddenly pulling me out of my inner turmoil. "Sorry for what?" I ask, confusingly.
"For-for... I'm sorry," she mumbles, grabbing the towel off my lap and running into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. I can't help the stinging rejection I feel in the pit of my chest as I stare at the bathroom door. It's obvious she's not coming out anytime soon.
I can't silence the voices in my head as they tell me how foolish I am for opening my heart up to another witch, as they belittle me for my inexperience. She doesn't want some virgin pup. They sneer at me, and it hurts, it hurts because I wanted her at that moment. I get up to leave with tears in my eyes. How embarrassing, he's going to cry. They laugh. Some Alpha.
