Melissa’s POV. The next morning, I woke up early. After washing up and changing into a simple cream-colored dress that Cassandra had lent me, I decided to step outside the pack house. According to Lady Mireya, spending a little time under the morning sun would be good for both me and the baby. Aside from the fresh air that would help clear my mind, the warmth of the sunlight would help my body recover and give me much-needed Vitamin D. The crisp morning air greeted me as I crossed the doorway, carrying the fresh scent of dew-covered grass and blooming wildflowers. Somewhere nearby, birds sang cheerfully from the treetops.
