Hall’s POV.
“Stay out of this, you old hag!”
Terrified that Amber would leak our scheme to Liam, I acted quickly and decisively. I forcefully grabbed Director Amber’s arm, restraining her before she could make it out of the clinic.
Her eyes went wide in shock. “Let me go!” she resisted.
She struggled to break free, but no matter how strong she was for her age, she was still an old woman; I was the Beta of the Silver Lake Pack. She didn’t stand the slightest chance against me.
“Let me go right now!” Amber shouted angrily, desperately trying to pry my hand off her.
“You know too much already,” I growled through gritted teeth.
