“Alpha Liam, we’ve arrived at North Ridge.”
I pried my eyes open from deep thought when I heard Hall’s voice from the opposite seat in the carriage.
I gazed out the window. At last, we had reached the small border town we had been searching for over the past two days. It was smaller than I had expected, and only a few wolves could be seen around. The pack members living there seemed reserved, each occupied with their own lives.
“Are you certain Luna Melissa is here, Alpha?” Hall asked.
I breathed out. “No,” I answered honestly. “But according to Director Amber, this is the last place where she sensed Melissa’s presence. Even this town is unfamiliar to me, so I’m certain she couldn’t have gotten very far. We need to find her before the distance between us grows even greate
