“We still haven’t found Luna Melissa…”
I couldn’t help but feel increasingly worried after I heard Hall’s report. I had been hoping for a different answer.
We had been searching for nearly half a day, splitting into groups to cover as much ground as possible and make the search faster. A part of me had hoped his delayed return meant he had found my mate and was bringing her back with him.
But just like me, he had failed.
He let out a troubled sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck and averted his gaze. “We’ve done everything we could, Alpha. We followed every possible lead and searched even the farthest side of the town. But we found no clues or signs of her whereabouts,” he explained.
