Avyaan's POV.
Stepping inside the mansion, the first thing I saw was Mom in the kitchen.
"Avy, you are back finally," and I was rewarded by her big grin as she walked towards me.
“All love for him, what about me, Mum?” And here comes my jelly baby, Ahaan.
"Lol, because Mom loves me more,” I said, and I kissed Mom's forehead while Ahaan pouted.
“Huh, Mom loves me more because I am younger,” he said, and Mom laughed.
“I love you both equally,” she said, making us smile.
My pupils dilated as I shook my head no.
“Office, why?” Mom asked.
Ahaan spilled everything about how I had forgotten to meet her at lunch, and she had waited for me for more than an hour, and the office drama afterward.
Mom laughed out loud, and so did Ahaan, while I just made a face.
"Mom, I don't want to marry her. She is too young for all this. "I am not ready for this responsibility,” I said seriously.
“Why, Avyaan? What's the problem? She is a nice girl and belongs to a well-known family, then?” Mom inquired.
“It is just enough to marry her mom. I don't love her, and neither does she. "We are both forced into this,” I said with a frustrated sigh.
“You have to marry her, Avyaan. "You don't have any other choice." I turned to hear the voice. It was Dad as he stepped inside the mansion with Karan and his wife.
“Yeah, you just love to force me,” I said, shaking my head.
My anger rose hearing Karan say, "It will be good for your future." She is a nice girl."
“Don't you dare say anything in between when I am speaking with my dad,” I shouted at him.
“Is this the way to talk to your elder brother Avyaan?” Dad scolded. "(Apologize) to him.”
I rubbed my palms and looked at Dad. “I won't, Dad. I won't apologize to him, and yes, he never treated me like his brother.”
"Uff, you all just came back from the office and started fighting.” Mom was getting irritated by us.
"Mom, it's your son who started everything,” Karan said to her.
What was I doing, getting into s**t fights? Come on, Avyaan, control yourself. I turned to leave but stopped hearing my dad's voice.
“Tomorrow we are going to Shravya's house for lunch, and you are marrying her. "It's final," my dad said.
I ignored him and went upstairs to my room.

"Divit, you are always partial to Avyaan. Why? "I love all three kids, but what about you? "Why do you love Karan more than Avyaan and Ahaan?” Bhavika asked as she sat beside him.
“It's your problem, Bhavika, that you think this way. I love all the kids,” he said, looking at her, then back at the TV.
"Yeah, that's why you snatched his love and gave it to Karan,” Bhavika said, shaking her head. Bhuliye mat Divit, Avyaan, and Ahaan bhi hamare bacche hi hai (Don't forget Divit, Avyaan, and Ahaan are our sons). "They aren't both your stepsons,” she further added.
He ignored her words. She sighed and got up. "You are always partial. "You never forced Karan, but you always did it with Avyaan, and occasionally I feel that you don't love our babies; you just love your first wife's son.” She said angrily and left.

At night, after dinner
Avyaan's POV.
I walked out of my room and made my way towards the staircase, as I wanted to go to the terrace to get some fresh air. My gaze was locked on my phone as I stalked Shravya on her i********:.
Umm, damn, I became a stalker. She is a public figure, and she has 500k followers. Whoa, a social media influencer...
Wait, why am I stalking her? Like, why? Okay, yeah, I don't know.
I was so busy stalking her that I didn't realize that I had bumped into someone and my phone fell down. s**t.
"Oops, I am so sorry, Avyaan.” It was Anish—um, Karan's wife.
I didn't say anything and was about to pick up my phone, but before that, she bent over and picked up my phone.
“Shravya Arya's i********: handle—woah, are you really interested in her?” She chuckled sadly, staring at me. Her eyes were glassy."
Was she crying? But why? Didn't she get what she wanted?
Those harsh words still rang in my ears.
I snatched the phone from her hand and turned to the other side. Control Avyaan. Just control yourself. She is nothing to you. She betrayed you. She f*****g betrayed you. I took a deep breath and was about to walk away, but I felt a tug on my left wrist.
What the f**k does she want right now? No, Avyaan, just don't look at her.
"Av--Avyaan,” I heard her whisper as she sobbed.
"Don't marry her, Avyaan," she said, crying all the way. "You don't love her; don't destroy her life."
I turned to yell at her but was interrupted by a voice saying, "Bro, there is?" He paused mid-sentence and stared at my hand.
I jerked her hand and turned towards Ahaan. “What happened, Ahaan?” I asked.
“Ani bhabhi, stop wasting your time and his time and go to Karan Bro because you have already chosen your life, and now please let Avy Bro leave in peace and let him move on,” Ahaan said to her a bit loudly and dragged me with him.
“What was that, Ahaan, huh? She is older than you, and it's not the way to talk to her like this,” I scolded while he passed me. "I don't care, look."
“Bro, leave her and come with me.” He dragged me to his room.
“How's it?” he asked, showing me some casual outfits.
“Again shopping, ugh, Ahaan,” I grunted, and he grinned.
"Not for me, bro, it's for you!" he exclaimed.
I was about to say, but he stopped me in the middle. "No, no, don't you dare to deny me. I bought everything for you. At least don't wear those boring outfits. I just hate those tuxedos.”

“Doll, wake up, it's already 10 am,” and this broke her beautiful sleep and, of course, her dream.
“Aahh, woman, you broke my dream.” Sitting up, she whined poutingly to her mother.
“Good morning, princess!!” What were you dreaming about, by the way?” Kriya asked, sitting beside her.
“The Best Fashion Designer of the Year award goes to Shravya Arya,” she said, clapping her hands like a child, and her mother smiled.
“You'll get that award one day,” Kriya said, and she pouted before lying down on the bed again.
“Damn, Momma, it's Sunday, and today I will sleep until 12:30 pm,” she said, hiding her face inside the duvet.
"Wake up today; the Sehgals are coming for lunch," Kriya said, smirking.
She peeked her face out of the duvet and asked, "Are they running out of food that they are coming to our home for lunch?”
“Ugh, Doll, they are your dad's business partners, and you are to be in-laws, so that's why,” she cut her off in the middle.
"I haven't said yes yet, Mom, don't be so sure," she said as she took her phone from the side table.
“I know you care about your dad's reputation, so you are going to say yes,” Aarti said before Shravya could reply. She further added, “I have already taken out your outfit; wear that only and go for breakfast.” She turned to the left when Shravya said.
“You are torturing me, Mrs. Arya,” she whined.
“Stop your melodrama, Miss Arya,” Kriya said.
"Mom, why this Indian outfit? I wanted to avoid looking like a weird witch. “This is not my type,” she grumbled, but Kriya left, ignoring her.
“Cruel lady,” she shouted, pouting.
