Chapter 2; Atticus & Aemiliana

Rolling over this morning, my hand met nothing but emptiness next to me, I peeled my eyes open with a sigh. Not a good start to the day.

Sliding out of bed, I wrapped the bed covers around my body, making my way into the bathroom to get a quick shower.

Once I was all freshened up and changed I made my way downstairs to join rest of the family.

"Morning Sunshine" Kol sang as I walked into the room, noticing they was all in here, along with Leon. "Bite me" I snapped, sending him a glare, as I sat down next to Nik, with my head rested on his shoulder.

"You'll have to ignore Mrs grumpy pants over there Leon, she's not a morning person" Kol told him making me throw a pillow at his head. "I'm pregnant, Kol" I reminded him, before looking at Leon. "When did you get here, Leon?"

"An hour ago or so" He shrugged giving me a smile. "So tell us, Leon, what did you do when you left Mystic Falls?" Nik asked him, glaring him down.

Here we go.

"I went to go see a friend of mine" Leon shrugged, but Nik wasn't happy with the answer and rushed over to Leon, pinning him to the wall. "Nik, what on earth are you doing?!" I shouted as I quickly stood up. "Dad!" Phoebe gasped standing up aswel, while the others just stared at Nik.

Instead of acknowledging us, he stared down at a struggling Leon, compelling him. "What did you do when you left Mystic Falls?"

"I went to go see a friend of mine, I haven't seen him for a decade" Leon answered robotically.

I sighed rolling my eyes as I walked over to Nik, I went to pull his hand off of Leon, but as my hand touched Leon I quickly pulled it back, as I stared at him shocked.

"Let him go Nik, you got your answer" I told him, without taking my eyes off of Leon, who was staring at me with a worried look on his face. Nik shoved Leon against the wall for good measure, before storming out of the room, while I carried on staring at Leon, who was still looking at me worried.

"Are you okay?" Phoebe asked him walking over to us, making us both look at her. "I'm fine" Leon smiled at her before flicking his eyes towards me quickly, before looking back at Phoebe.

"Why did he do that?" Phoebe asked me, sounding annoyed, making me sigh, but before I could speak Elijah beat me to it.

"You're his daughter Phoebe, he's going to be protective of you" Elijah explained to her, making her sigh. "Why don't you both go out for a bit?" I suggested, not wanting Leon to be in the same house as Nik for the moment.

"Yeah, come on Leon" Phoebe smiled, pulling him out of the room.

Once I knew they was out of the house, I went to search for Nik, finding him in our room laid down on the bed, with a glass of whiskey in his hand.

"I've sent Phoebe and Leon out" I told him as I stood against the closed door looking over at Nik, who nodded his head.

"Want to tell me what that was about?" I asked as I made my way over to my side of the bed, laying down next to Nik, resting my head on his chest.

He sighed, brushing his fingers up and down my arm, staying silent for a couple of seconds before he started talking.

"Phoebe's my daughter, Lilly. I'm going to want her safe, so if that means compelling every one of her friends to protect her, I will, and we have another child on the way which makes it so much more important to keep you all safe" He confessed.

I smiled down at my husband. "How did we get so lucky?" I whispered making him smirk up at me.

"Well it helps that I find you incredibly sexy" He smirked down at me, making me roll my eyes. "Even when I'm in sweats and trainers?" I asked making him nod. "Even then" He smiled at me before pressing his lips against mine.

I sighed as I laid my head down back on his chest. "What's wrong love?" He asked in a whisper as we relaxed on the bed.

"I love you" I told him, not wanting to tell him what was on my mind, he'd go looking for Leon and kill him, thinking he was a threat, but at this moment I wasn't sure he was a threat, If he was surely he would have done something by now.

"I love you too" He whispered pressing a kiss to my forehead, as I closed my eyes relaxing, curled up against my husband.

What did the shock mean? Why did I feel something else coming from him, along with his vampirism?

Plenty of questions but no answers.

I must of dozed off as I woke up to someone banging on mine and Nik's bedroom. "MOM! DAD!" Phoebe shouted, sounding panicked, just as I was about to see what was wrong, Nik rushed to the door, quickly opening it.

"What's wrong?" Nik asked placing his hands on her shoulders, trying to calm her down.

"Leon. He-He passed out and wont wake up" She cried making me quickly rush over to her pulling her into a hug.

"Come on, let's go see what I can do" I told her pulling her downstairs, Nik behind us. "Don't be overdoing yourself, love" Nik warned as we walked into the sitting room, where Leon was laid unconscious on the couch, with Elijah, Finn, Kol, Bekah and Henrik stood looking at him confused.

"I won't" I smiled at Nik, before walking over to Leon, kneeling on the floor next to him.

I took a deep breath, before placing my fingertips on his forehead, closing my eyes. "memoria dei sogni"

Once the spell left my lips I felt myself slump against the couch, as I was sucked into Leon's head.

I walked over to Leon, who was laid unconscious on the floor. Where the hell are we?

"Leon" I whispered shaking him, and thankfully his eyes snapped open. "Lilly?" He questioned shocked looking around, and when his eyes landed on the woman in front of us who was still chanting, he snapped his head back towards me with fear in his eyes.

"You need to leave. Quickly" He whispered with his eyes wide open. "Not a chance, but you have a lot of explaining to do, now come on" I told him going to pull him up to get us the hell out of wherever this crazy witch had brought him.

"Hello Aemiliana Luna" The woman spoke making me quickly turn my head to look at her confused. "I think you got the wrong person, witch" I told her, rolling my eyes.

Surprisingly she laughed. "I don't think I have, I've been watching you and Atticus here, since 1841"

I stared at the witch in front of me confused. "Well you clearly haven't been watching good enough, since you don't even have our names right. Come on Leon" I told her, before pulling Leon up off the floor.

"Unfortunately, you can't leave yet, It's not done" She told us, before holding her hand out making us both scream out in pain, as she sent us both to our knees with an aneurism.

"Gli spiriti son il momento. Esso riunisce Potenza, portare l'inizo del cambiamento.Li portano I doni"

I fell onto my side, my back arching, before the pain disappeared. "Forgive me Principe, principessa. It was for the good of everyone" The witch smiled down at us both before she disappeared, leaving us both laid on the floor gasping for air, with our eyes closed.

I quickly sat up gasping for air staring down at Leon, who woke up himself. "Are you alright?" Nik asked, pulling me into a hug. "I'm fine" I spoke not taking my eyes off Leon, but not really meaning it, I was far from fine. I was a mess. What the hell was that?

I pulled away from Nik, giving him a weak smile, before looking back at Leon who was looking at me apologetically. "I think you should all leave" I spoke not taking my eyes off him.

"Why? What happened?" Kol asked looking between me and Leon. "I need to talk to Leon, alone" I spoke stressing out his name.

"Mum?" Phoebe asked confused. "Just leave" I spoke not even looking at her. I know it might have been a horrible thing to do, but I wanted answers.

Nik looked between the two of us before the seven of them left the room, leaving just me and Leon.

I walked over and lit a candle before sprinkling some salt onto it, once I knew the privacy spell had worked I looked back at Leon, if that's even his real name. "Start talking"

He looked at the candle before looking at me. "What do you want to know?" He sighed knowing he had no way out of this.

"Everything, but you can start with telling me who you really are, and why your here" I snapped glaring at him.

He ran his hands across his face before looking back at me. "For a long time, I thought my name was Leon Bradley and that I was born in 1841, but when I was 5 everything changed. I tapped into my magic and none of my family had any, so it made me question why I was different....

"When I was 16 they finally decided to explain it all to me. I was left outside their house one night, with nothing but the clothes I was wearing and a blanket. As the years went on my magic got stronger, and then the winter of 1864, I was turned into a vampire but I kept my magic" Leon explained making me raise my eyebrows.

"That doesn't explain why the crazy witch was calling me Aemiliana and you Atticus" He rolled his eyes. "I'm getting there, just shut up and listen" He snapped as he glared at me.

"Once I completed the transition, I grabbed what little I had and left town. I wanted to know about my family, I mean, I had to have come from a powerful line if I managed to keep my magic, along with being a vampire... I'd been searching for anything but I had nowhere to start until I met a witch called Elizabeth...

"She told me that she knew something about who I really was, in fact she was surprised to have met me... She explained that I came from a very important and powerful family and that I was older than I thought, she wouldn't give me any answers apart from that if I just follow my feet they'll lead me to my real family"

He looked up off the floor connecting his eyes with mine. Eyes that were identical to mine. Why have I never noticed that before?

"I did what she told me to, and that's when I met Phoebe" My jaw dropped when he said that. "You're related to the Lockwood's?" I asked surprised, making him shake his head. "No, im related to you" He stated so strongly and I could see that he was telling the truth making me plonk myself on one of the chairs, shocked.

"How?" I asked looking at him. "I'm your brother. Twin brother" He stated making the breath knock out of me.

He's my brother?

As I stared at him, I started noticing the resemblance between us both, It was weird.

"Why did you never tell me?" I asked confused still staring at him. "Would you have believed me if I had told you? You didn't even know that you wasn't a Salvatore when I was in Mystic Falls"

I nodded because he was right of course. "So, let me guess, your real name is Atticus and my birth names Aemiliana" I joked trying to lighten the mood and it got a small laugh out of him.

"Yes, Atticus and Aemiliana Luna" He nodded giving me a small smile. "Luna?" I questioned confused. "Yes, it's our family name, apparently, but I haven't found anything out about our family, or better yet us" He explained making me sigh.

"Well you've managed to get further than I have" I laughed, making him smile softly at me. "Any chance you can get your husband to stop attacking and glaring at me?" He asked making me laugh.

"I'm sure I can sort that out" I nodded, with my lips twitching. "Do you believe me?" He asked as we both stood up and I walked over to the candle.

"Of course I do, I saw it with my own two eyes" I laughed, before blowing out the candle.

"Thank you" He smiled at me. "No need to thank me, you've helped me a lot more than you think you have" I smiled at him before going to walk out of the door, but as I opened it seven bodies fell to the floor, looking up at me and Leon or Atticus, whatever he wants to be called.

"Why the hell couldn't we hear anything?" Henrik asked glaring at us both. "Because I lit a candle, and sprinkled some salt on it" I smirked at him while he looked at me confused.

"Everything okay?" Nik asked looking between me and Leon. "Yep" I smiled widely at him, making him look back at me confused. "What happened?" Nik asked making me look at Leon, silently asking if I was okay to tell them and he nodded smiling at me.

"I found some information about who I am" I told them making them all look at me. "Like what?" Bekah asked raising her eyebrows.

"My real name is Aemiliana Luna, and I have a twin brother called Atticus Luna" I told them making them all look at me shocked. "Older twin brother" Leon corrected making them all look at Leon shocked.

"You're my mums twin brother?" Phoebe asked shocked, since nobody else looked like they were going to talk anytime soon.

"Yep" Leon nodded, while they all looked between us both. "Now you mention it, you do look like eachother" Bekah nodded, but it didn't look like Nik believed him.

"If what you've told Lilly is the truth. Prove it" Nik stated crossing his arms. "Fine" Leon sighed, before looking at me. "Fancy giving us a drop of blood?" He asked raising his eyebrows.

I nodded before biting into my wrist. "Where do you want me?" I asked but stared at him as he put his arm next to mine, and our blood levitated a bit and joined together as a knot.

"There's your proof" Leon stated, while we all stared at the blood knot that was still levitating in the air.

"So what do we call you? Leon or Atticus?" Kol asked, been the first one to break out of his shocked state. Leon looked at me before smiling. "Atticus" I smiled widely back at him.

I finally have some answers.
