The tears she has been trying so hard to restrain broke free and saturated his shirt. She found she could no longer hold her emotions in, she couldn't be as strong as she thought she could be. She let the tears fall, she let her shoulders shake as her body trembled. She did nothing to suppress her whimpers; did nothing to calm herself.
How could she be so upset about everything? How could she be so angry at him but still find comfort in his embrace?
She was trapped, she had known it for a long time now but it was only at this moment that it became crystal clear. She was trapped and at his mercy; he could break her so easily and there was absolutely nothing she could do about it.
