She knew she probably looked stupid for cradling a scroll against her chest but she didn't care, not after reading Alder's letter, not after memorizing every word he had written.
"Will you keep on cradling His majesty's letter?". She heard Nerissa say.
And her gaze flickered to hers, she found her smiling warmly but her eyes seemed to be laughing at her.
"Don't laugh, Nerissa". She said. "I wouldn't laugh if you reacted the same to Varian's letter".
Nerissa chuckled.
"I'm not laughing at you, My lady". She told her.
She was just really glad that she was smiling again, she was glad she wasn't crying or writhing in pain.
