The voices kept whispering again and again till Aria could take no more of it. She struggled to pull her thoughts together, to pull herself together. It felt as though cold clutches held her down and kept her from opening her eyes, kept her from waking up; she was trapped.
However, she could hear someone calling her name, and though the voice sound far and indistinct, she forced herself to hold on to it till it dragged her out of her misery. Her eyes fluttered open tiredly, and for a moment she feared she had gone blind because it was all dark.
