I have to say I am so proud of Destiny. She has been so brave today, and I know seeing her family again has allowed her to unlock some memories of her family. We are currently sitting in a conference room in the hotel listening to Destiny talk to Detective Evans and her partner. I keep looking around at everyone's faces as she tells them what she has remembered, her dreams and the flashbacks she has had. Her brothers keep giving me looks like they have an issue, but I won't back down or feel intimidated.
I made a promise to her and I won't break it. I love this woman, and I'll be right by her side every step of the way. I heard Destiny say my name and look at her. "Yes love?" I replied, smiling. She asks for the list we made. I got it from my pocket, giving it to her. As she opens it, her brother speaks up,"So what!! You think because you helped her, she's yours to keep? She will be coming home with us" and I went to talk but stopped when Destiny stood up and glared at her brother's with fire in her eyes.
She spoke through clenched teeth, hand gripping the table, she said "Do. Not be an asŝhole I want him here. I need him here and NO!, I will not be going back with you now. Stop being a dîck to the man I love, shut up and listen!"
I smile like the cat that ate the hummingbird because she just showed everyone she is not a weak little girl, she is a fighter, my fighter, my Bambi. God, I love this woman. She sits taking my hand and I kiss her knuckles, she continues on saying "I do not plan on going back to the same place I was taken from until they are caught. I don't know who it was or what all happened, but I know I was beaten and left for dead. I'm sure about that, or maybe I escaped. I don't know, but either way, I am not safe until they are found not in Bagley. I'm not. I'm not even sure about anywhere, but I know I am safe at the ranch, so that's where I will be staying with William any questions?" Nobody says anything. "OK. Good," she looks back at the detective and says, "Now Detective Evans, do you have anything to say or more questions?"
Detective Evans goes on to tell us what information they have about this case, which isn't much. When she mentions the men arrested for trespassing on our property, my gut clenched. They could have seen her there, but my worry was shut down by her next words, that during interviews with them, they had said they were hired to find a girl that got away from her boyfriend, and he wanted her found, the man they said hired them well...she paused looking around at us and said, "They seemed to have disappeared into thin air. We are still trying to make contact with him."
They talk about meeting with her best friend and roommate, Natalie, and Destiny can't recall the memory of her, but she mentions her dream that she tried calling somebody before she was taken in her dream or memory, and they talk about her ex high-school boyfriend and the look on her face changes. I watched her as she said she didn't remember anything about a boyfriend in high-school, but the look on her face tells me she's in her head about it. I squeezed her hand, giving her my support.
Detective Evans asked Destiny if she would mind looking through the photos I took of her. When I found her. I knew they would be needed. That's why I went early and printed them off before Destiny woke up. I told her over breakfast, and she was grateful. I remembered because she didn't think about needing anything like that, so as they went through the pictures, everyone in the room saw her condition from the first night before I got her cleaned up that night and the progress she made till just this morning while she slept in my bed, but that one was for me. When they are done passing the pictures around, we discuss her safety, and she has made it clear she will not be leaving my home unless I tell her to leave... I wrap my arms around her, pulling her to me, and I say, "Never!" her smile says what she doesn't, and I give her a soft peck on the lips, hearing her brother scoff. I looked at him with a fûck you look. I don't care what anybody else has to say. This isn't about them. It's about Destiny. She is all that matters to me.
We wrap up our meeting with the detective with plans to go to the property where destiny woke up if we find the exact spot, but they will have a general idea of how close the road is. We will meet at 11 am tomorrow to go there shaking hands. We leave to go find our families. We are walking hand in hand down the hallway. She stops suddenly. I turned, and she jumped into my arms.
The next second, I caught her and wrapped my arms around her, laughing with her. I love to hear her laugh. She kisses my lips then says,"Thank you again. I really do love you, William. I hope you know that. You are my savior!" she melts my heart into a puddle. I kissed her and told her,"My sweet Bambi, I fûcking love you too!" I kissed her again, only deeper, needing to taste her right now when we separated. I kept hold of her and walked toward the lobby.
She wiggles to get down before we get there, but I laugh and say, "Nope. I like my koala cuddles right now." She laughed at me as I walked through the lobby outside the doors. We heard our family talking as we exited. I let her go down to her feet. I saw we were being watched, so just because I really wanted to kiss her good and proper I held her to me and kissed her with sweet passion, claiming her as mine for God and everybody to know and see.
When I release her, she was panting. I chuckled at her, grabbed her hand, and walked to the truck. I asked everyone there who was coming to the ranch? They all confirmed that they were coming back with us. Destiny says she'll see everyone there, and we set off for home now that the meetings are over today. I'm looking forward to spending time with her around her family. I may even have to sit her brothers down and have a talk because I am not going anywhere, and I'm not ever letting her go....ever my heart and soul won't take it, when she said she felt it deep in her soul I knew exactly what she meant all to well because I felt it to from the moment I touched her arm and electricity flowed through me, I recall when she spoke in the cave, and I felt my gut churn at the pain and fear in her voice, That feels so long ago, but I know it's only been 11 days now, but it feels like I've always known her, always loved her it's crazy to think about, but I can't deny my feeling for this beautiful woman that was sent to me from heaven to love and keep, and I will cherish her everyday!
We got home and went to the farmhouse. Everyone was there, and introductions were made. Destiny was in the kitchen with my mom, Misty, and her mother helping with dinner. My father and Kevin Destiny's father were chatting at the kitchen table. My brothers were all chatting around. I found Destiny's brothers talking with our fathers and approached them. I asked if I could have a word with all 4 of them in private.
They agreed, so I led them out the back door onto the covered deck and took a seat at the big table. The others followed suit. I cleared my throat, and I told them everything about what had happened since finding destiny till the moment we met in town just a few hours before. I tell them my intentions, and I also say that whether they approve or not didn't faze me. The only thing that matters is destiny and what she wants and needs. I looked at the surrounding faces. My father has a proud smile plastered on his face. He nodded his head to me and said, "You found your one and only son if that's truly how you feel about the girl. Congratulations." I smiled.
He was right. I had indeed found the one and only....my girl.
Her father stood and walked towards me. I stood as well. My father and Destiny's brothers were watching us both. He stood in front of me looking me right in my eyes for a moment before he put his hand out for me to take. I placed mine in his, shaking it. I smiled at him as he said,"If you both feel the same way about each other, and you have vowed to take care of her and protect her, and if she truly feels the same way,__ "I do, daddy!" We heard her sweet voice and turned to see my girl standing there by the door smiling.
She walked out to us, he pulled her to him and hugged her, saying, "Congratulations then. Welcome to the family son." When he releases her, she looks at her brothers. Both don't look too happy, but she doesn't care. She walks to them both, plopping down on Jeremy's lap, throws her feet on Jason and crossing her arms over her chest she says, "If you don't be nice to William I won't talk to you anymore," pouting at them. I chuckle, and her dad says, "Watch her she'll get em, they are wrapped around her fingers they always have been." I watch and listen as my girl puts both brothers in their place.
When they all laugh, she stands and leads them by the hand to where I'm standing. She let go of their hands, stepping towards me, taking my hand and said,"Well," pausing for them to talk. Both of them say,"We apologize for being rude and if our sister is happy, then we can be happy as well,". Then Jason says "But if you hurt her", both speak "We will kill you slowly." I reach out my hand shaking theirs and say "I accept your apology. Thank you, and you don't have to worry about me hurting her. I would never allow anyone, including myself, to hurt her ever again!" We all shook hands. I could tell Jason wasn't convinced, but he didn't say anything more, and his attitude was better and that's alright. I will prove to anyone who doubts me that I meant what I said. I'll do anything for that woman.
We had a great night with our families. We all got on together wonderfully and Destiny was shining with happiness and that's all I could ask for. After showing her family where they would be staying. We finally made it home. We were both so tired that we decided to shower and sleep. Lying in bed after the shower, I held her, lightly stroking her back and sides as she lazily rubs circles on my chest with her fingers running through my chest hair. It's so relaxing. We've been chatting about our day and how well it went, how happy she is that she has gotten some of her memories back. I am happy for her to, and it seems we are both concerned about whether she gets all of them back and what she will remember. I'm worried about her, so I assure her that I'll be there no matter what. She doesn't need to stress about it. When it happens, she won't be alone in anything she does not want to be. I pull her closer and tell her, "Sleep Bambi, I love you, sweet dreams, love". She humms, whispering. "I love you too, sweet dreams." Closing my eyes, I hear her soft snores. I smile, knowing she is resting now, it doesn't take long for me to drift off to sleep myself...
