It was a few weeks to the next mating ceremony and it was when I was meant to find my own mate.

Dad was going all out as I was among the girls looking for their special someone but that s**t scared me out the most.

Pledging loyalty and honesty to a man I barely knew, in a way kind of brings me down at the thought of it.

I hoped he would be from the pack, so I could be close to mum and dad. It was extremely childish of me but hell, I didn't mind it one bit.

“What do you want in a man, Zoe?" My best friend asked. Phoebe was typically the only one I could relate to in the entire pack and likewise she was the only one who could understand me.

“Why are you asking the same questions again, Phoebe? This is possibly the hundredth time you are asking me this" I replied with a chuckle.

“And I will keep asking till I get my answers ".

“The thing is that, I don't know what I want"

“What do you mean by that?"

“I don't want much actually. Someone who loves me, that's all I want. Nothing more, nothing less"

“Oh really. What did I expect from a boring girl like you"

“Boring.... Really. Then what do you want from your mate then?"

“I want a man that will be obsessed with me. Great stamina in bed, filthy rich and a big d**k that will take me to the nine heavens"

And that's how weird she was. The lady was a f*****g virgin and yet the things sho shoots out of her mouth.

Strange enough, I was already used to it.

“Has your dad lifted your ban?"

“Not ban, you i***t. It's called punishment and not quite. I now have access to my devices but I can't go out yet".

“Don't blame the man though, his daughter went missing for seventeen good times. He was bound to flip out at some point. You are just lucky he didn't lock you up in your room till the mating ceremony"

“I know right. I guess I am really lucky"

“What about those visions you see all the time? Do they still appear every night?"

“Yeah. I am not still able to understand them though. Some parts I understand but some, still blank. It's as if there is something missing. Something very important".

“What do you mean?"

“I don't know. It's pretty much complicated as it is. Am yet to understand them"

“And I know you will. After all, you are one of the smartest people in the entire pack. But as for me, I will be going to meet my man"

“Mathias?"

“Ewwww nooo. Why the f**k would you think that?"

“Why wouldn't I? He's your boyfriend, is he not?"

“My ex, actually. Jason is my man now"

“Which Jason are we talking about here?"

“Jason Armstrong. Son of Elder Gyatso"

“Don't tell me you are dating the nose picker. When did your standards drop to that level?"

“It's a long story. But I already broke up with Mathias and now am with Jason"

“You really do change men faster than you change out of your panties "

“That's why I need to find my mate and settle down"

“Right, and that will be after you date practically all the men in the pack"

“As if" she said and we both laughed out.
